Fridge Logic

  • How in the hell would a species like the Undine ever evolve into an entirely aquatic species, when even before Abbadon's interference, most of the waters on their world were poisonous to them?
  • Also with the Undine, why does most of their machineries most important parts be on dry land platforms? As shown by the start of the level with the queen, any Undine who isn't at least gills deep in water ends up starting to "drown" on air almost at once.

Fridge Horror

  • If you fail the mission where you need to rescue their queen, it's an immediate Game Over. As noted on the Tear Jerker tab (and also under Nightmare Fuel in the YMMV tab), any Game Over is punctuated with a scene showing a dead Jen in her hospital bed. Why would this happen? Well, for starters, the water is poisonous to the Undine without their machinery. If Jen stayed, she would eventually be poisoned, and forced back into human form. She would probably drown pretty rapidly because of the sudden transformation, which, given that she is in spirit form, means that she gets kicked from the spirit realm and back into her physical body. Even if that didn't happen, Abaddon takes over the Aquis realm with nobody to stand up to him (that'd kinda go with being up three realms to one) and kills Jen directly from spirit form.
