Pacific Rim is a media franchise originating from the 2013 live-action film of the same name.
It is set in a world where giant kaiju emerge from the Pacific Ocean and attack humanity. In turn, humans engineer Humongous Mecha called Jaegers to fight back. Piloting a Jaeger is a two-man job, requiring a deep connection between copilots. The franchise depicts the war between kaiju and humans, and explores the inner lives of various Jaeger pilots.
