Uravitation is a My Hero Academia fanfic written by Exotos135.

In a world where 80% of the population has a Quirk, that number can be further fragmented:

40% have Quirks that are variations of one parent's Quirks.

30% have Quirks that are hybrids between both parents' Quirks.

9% have Quirks that have little to nothing to do with their parents' Quirks.

Finally, the remaining 1% have an intensely amplified version of any of the previous estimates, primarily the 40%.

Uraraka Ochako is part of the 1%.

Or: that one story where Uraraka is incredibly overpowered.

This work has examples of the next tropes:

  • Adaptational Badass: Just about anybody who becomes a Titan in this story, since they're effectively part of the strongest set of Quirk users in this world.
    • Uraraka, in particular, goes from a modest Gravity Master in canon, to effectively a Gravity Goddess with the ridiculous amount of stuff her quirk can now do.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance:
    • Both Overhaul and Eri make cameos at the end of chapter 5.
    • Tiger and Ragdoll of the Wild Wild Pussycats make cameos as reporters during chapter 6. Pixie Bob and Mandalay, the remaining members, eventually appear too during the Titanomachy Arc.
    • Mrs. Todoroki is shown in a flashback shortly before the Titanomachy Arc, and, in turn, the Sports Festival Arc.
    • Mrs. Joke made a slight cameo at the Sports Festival, but wasn't properly introduced until the Hero License Exams. Here, she's introduced during the Titanomachy Arc.
    • Mirko, too, makes her debut in this story during the Titanomachy Arc, acting as Mrs. Joke's partner as announcers.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: A good deal of Uraraka's relationships are different here, which is a given.
    • Uraraka and Izuku only met during the entrance exam, and much later, Uraraka gained a crush on him. In this story, they meet much earlier during the ten months before the entrance exam, and there's no signs of a crush in sight.
    • Uraraka and Bakugo, besides their bout in the sports festival, rarely interact in canon. In this story, Bakugo effectively becomes Uraraka's biggest enemy after their disastrous first impression after Uraraka saves Midoriya from commiting suicide.
    • Uraraka and Shoji don't really interact at all in canon. In this story, the latter's the first friend the former actually makes.
  • Ascended Extra: A variation with Uraraka; while she was a main character in the canon work, her focus waned after the Sports Festival Arc, with her appearances afterwards being very minor. Uravitation!Uraraka is the main character here.
    • For a more straight example, there's Shoji. In canon, it takes until the Vanguard Squad Attack Arc before he gets any chance to shine, while in here he becomes one of Uraraka's earliest friends.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Theoretically speaking, any fight where a Titan is involved and isn't fighting another Titan is bound to be a curbstomp on the Titan's favor.
  • Eye Scream: Bakugo's left eye was injured during his scuffle with Uraraka ten months before the entrance exam. He ends up wearing an eyepatch when they meet again during the exam.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Uraraka and Shoji first become friends after helping each other out during the entrance exam.
  • Interrupted Suicide: The story opens with one. Uraraka comes across Midoriya about to jump off the roof of his middle school, and she eventually leaps and catches him before he hits the ground and ends his life.
  • In Spite of a Nail: The events that lead to Midoriya eventually gaining One For All play exactly the same as in canon, the only difference being that Uraraka saved him beforehand.
    • While they have met before, Uraraka still meets Midoriya in the same way as she did in canon: saving him from tripping.
    • The Entrance Exam still has the final part be the fight with the Zero Pointer robot, and with Midoriya destroying it with a punch. The only real difference is that Uraraka obviously isn't the one trapped under rubble.
    • The League of Villains still attacks the USJ, and Mr. Aizawa and Thirteen still end up injured.
