Tales of Teora
is an Alternate Universe Fic of Gwain Saga it takes place in a world where Teorans and Humans coexist, as well as Geo being replaced by a new Protagonist called Nero. It draws inspiration from the Tales Series.
The Fanfic is currently undergoing a massive Rewrite.
Tales of Teora contains example of:
- Adaptational Hairstyle Change: In this fanfic, Ami has short hair. The reason is because of this edit which the creator liked so much that he used in in the fanfic.
- Adaptation Personality Change: Some of the characters act drastically different from their original counterparts:
- Ami can now talk and has more of a personality than before.
- Agni is no longer a comic relief Butt-Monkey, and his peeping tom behavior is downplayed.
- Colourful Theme Naming: Almost every new character introduced follows this:
- Nero, Italian word for Black
- Huang (黄), Chinese word for Yellow
- Khiev (ខៀវ), the Khmer word for Blue
- Merah, the Malay word for Red
- Ai (蓝) the Japanese word for Indigo
- Midori (绿) the Japanese word for Green
- Elemental Powers: The Teorans keep their elements from the original series, while some of the Human characters have their own elements too due to the changes in Worldbuilding.
- Fusion Fic: In an unusual way, this fanfic fuses elements of Tales games (As well as other JRPGs) with Gwain Saga's plot and characters.
- Genre Shift: The fic removes all elements of Isekai and instead has humans co-exist in the same planet as if they've been there all along.
- Shout-Out: Like the series it's based on, it contains alot of references to other media, but mostly the Tales series. Most of the attacks the characters use are or borrow their names from various artes of the Tales series.
- The Cameo: In the first 3 episodes
- Chapter 1: A "hero" group consisting of: A man in armor, an archer, a healer, a witch with a broom and a summoner.
- Chapter 2: Spada Belforma, Luca Milda & Illia Amani appear as students of Gwain College who harass Agni (well Luca does it unwillingly).
