Caught in the aftermath of the Fold Weapon's destruction, Pilot Jack Cooper and BT-7274 are hurled into a foreign world, and are thrust once more into a decade-long war. However, their arrival also brings with them new technology to be usurped by the tireless Legion. Can the Eighty-Six of Spearhead Squadron continue to defy death with their newfound allies?

Humanity, Hardwired is a Crossover Fan Fiction between 86 EIGHTY-SIX and Titanfall. It is written by Alternaria alternata. Currently, six chapters had been made. Unfortunately, the author deleted the story but it is slowly being restored by AWACS Freeshipping who already posted two chapters. Unfortunately that repost failed due to all material after the second chapter being lost after an update to FanFiction.Net, ending any chance of a revival.

The fanfic contains the following tropes:

  • Big Damn Heroes: BT has being building a good reputation for helping 86s out of the jam.
  • Brutal Honesty: BT flat-out tells Handler One and Spearhead Squadron that their lack of trust towards one another is impeding them in their fight against the Legion. Granted, BT was just trying settle the tension between the two groups. At the very least, the 86s, especially Shin realize that BT has a point.
  • Curbstomp Battle: This happens whenever BT crosses paths with the Legion and it doesn't go well for the latter. BT even literally stomps on a Löwe Legion.
  • Enemy Mine: Both BT and Spearhead decide to join forces in defeating the Legion to accomplish their goals.
  • For Want Of A Nail:
    • Multiple 86 deaths are prevented thanks to BT. See Spared By Adaptation.
    • BT's Brutal Honesty pushes Shin and Spearhead to reveal to Lena about Shin's ability to hear the Legion.
  • Knows a Guy Who Knows a Guy: When the rest of Spearhead asks Kujou where learnt about this twenty-foot tall robot, Kujou basically refers to this. In otherwords, he doesn't know.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite Kaie still being alive, Theo still lashes out at Lena, in anger at her for thinking that she is fighting with the 86 as equals.
  • I Owe You My Life: Kujo was already interested about BT but when the Titan saved him from a Legion trap, he's become a complete fanboy to the robot.
    • Pretty much all of Spearhead, including Shin are deeply thankful of BT for rescuing their friends.
  • Oh, Crap!: Spearhead when BT reveals that he had been listening in through their Para-Raid communcations.
  • Outside-Context Problem:
    • While the Legion are state-of-the-art machines in the 86 Universe, the Titans are just way more advanced than them. A single Titan is able to wipe out dozens of Legion in a matter of seconds.
    • However, BT admits that the Legion's self-replicating abilities is something that anyone in his world has never accomplished before and that if the IMC were to deploy this in the Frontier War, the Milita would have lost.
  • Secret-Keeper: Spearhead are intentionally keeping their superiors, especially Lena in the dark that a giant, hulking machine is helping them in their fights. If San Magnolia were to learn of BT's existence, they will no doubt want to capture him, tear him apart and build one for themselves. For why it's such a big deal to the 86s? If they do build such a weapon, they'll be "replaced", meaning execution.
    • Spearhead do let Lena in the loop about BT.
  • Spared By Adaptation: In the light novel, Kujou and Kaie had been killed by Legion. In Humanity, Hardwired, BT's interventions allowed them to survive their canon deaths.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: BT calculates a 92.3% chance that the Frontier Militia will be disgusted towards how the Republic treats the 86s.
  • Undying Loyalty: Jack Cooper would rather stay and be with BT than allow his Titan to sacrifice himself alone to stop the Fold weapon.
BT: Cooper, what are you doing?
Jack Cooper: Sorry, BT. I've got my own protocols to follow! Protect the Titan!
