Connecting the Lines
is a massive TMNT crossover between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012), Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman vs. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
One of the Donatello's gets the bright idea to create a chat room full of Don's and it quickly spirals out of control from there. Meanwhile, while the Don's are all getting to know each other, a dangerous and mysterious enemy is afoot and seems to be targeting Donatello's.
Connecting the Lines provides examples of:
- Damsel in Distress: When the Donatellos compare their respective Aprils, 1987 admits that his version often gets kidnapped enough where she could easily be considered this. Besides that she's pretty cool though according to '87.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Thanks to all their wild adventures over the years, it's no surprise that they'd each have a few horror stories to tell the group that even freaks each other out and more then enough emotional baggage to make up for it. Some more then others.
- Noodle Incident: It's not a surprise with all the whacky hijinks each Donatello goes through in their universe that there would be a few examples they wouldn't bother to explain. But out of all of the variants the '87 is the most guilty of this often saying something completely outrageous and doesn't bother to comment on it much to the frustration of the other turtles.Don_Does_Machines ('87): Oh shit, Shredders dressing up as a hooker again. - Online Alias: Since this is a chat room everyone going by Donatello would get too confusing too quickly. So, they didn't hesitate to give each other usernames which is sometimes Played for Laughs with the other Donnie's hacking the server and changing it on them time to time just to get on each other nerves.
- Sleep Deprivation: All Donatello's have this issue and usually have to be told to go to bed by their family. '12 is the reigning champion though going nine days without sleep, something he was extraordinary proud of. It took '03 banning him from the chat and his three brothers forcing him to go to bed to finally get some sleep.
