America and Star Vs the Forces of Evil
is a Star vs. the Forces of Evil and America (2017) crossover by Epiclot214, in which America Chavez takes the place of Marco as the person Star stays with while on Earth.
America and Star vs. the Forces of Evil contains examples of:
- Adaptational Origin Connection:
- America's old team, the Teen Birgade, are the ones after Pony Head to escort her to St. Olga's. They also got dimension scissors from Hekapoo.
- Another one of her old teammates, The In-Bewteener, is on the hunt to stop a certain lizard before he destroys the balance.
- Adapted Out: Marco effectively doesn't exist in this AU, his role being taken by America.
- Can't Stay Normal: America was trying to live like a relatively normal teenager on Earth. Cue Star and company bursting into her life.
- Composite Character: America Chavez takes on the role of Marco Diaz as the one who Star stays with on Earth.
- Incompatible Orientation: America is gay, but her former teammate Ultimate Nullifier had a crush on her for a while. She decided to humor him for one date, if just to see what dating a guy would be like, but got nothing out of him giving her a kiss.
- Minor Living Alone: As in canon, America's mothers are not in the picture, so neither she or Star have any parental supervision on Earth.
- Poor Communication Kills: When the fact that America and Nullifier went on a date comes up, they don't clarify to Star that the reason that it didn't work out is because America is gay, or that it ended the way that it did because both of them forgot their wallets and got chased out of the restaurant by the staff, so a well-meaning Star tries to help them "get back together".
