Lele first became prominent on Vine with comedic skits, becoming the first person to reach one billion loops on the platform. When the platform shut down in 2016, she moved to YouTube.
Using her internet popularity, Lele ventured into other enterprises such as releasing a jewelery line and co-writing a novel titled Surviving High School, where she shares advice and experiences from her own time in high school. Lele also pursued acting, first starring in the YouTube movie We Love You. She also appeared in MTV's Scream as well as music videos for blink-182 and Camila Cabello.
Lele also has a music career primarily consisting of Spanish-language music. Her first singles, "Dicen" and "Celoso", were released in 2018. Her first English-language single, a duet with Jake Owen titled "Senorita", was released in 2019. Her debut album, Capitulaciones, was released in 2023.
Further ventures of Lele include a five-part 2020 documentary series, The Secret Life of Lele Pons, which follows her battles with mental health struggles including Tourette's syndrome, OCD, depression, and ADHD, and the Spotify-exclusive podcast Best Kept Secrets with Lele Pons, in which she speaks with anonymous callers who voice experiences they don't wish to share with friends or family.
