Dick Clement OBE (born 5 September 1937) and Ian La Frenais OBE (7 January 1937) are a duo of British film and television writers (Clement is also a director and producer). They have created some of British television's most beloved sitcoms including The Likely Lads and its sequel Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?, and Porridge. They also wrote the acclaimed dramedy Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. Their movie credits include Never Say Never Again and The Bank Job. Le Frenais also worked on Lovejoy and The Train Now Standing....
