We Can Never Go Home is a comic book series created by Patrick Kindlon, Matthew Rosenberg and Josh Hood and published by Black Mask Studios. The series surrounds Duncan, an unpopular high school student, who witnesses the super strength of Madison, a pretty girl he attends school with. The two get involved with a murder and have to flee town.

• The Chosen One: Duncan is convinced that he and Madison are special because of their powers. (Though he may not actually have any..)
• Loner-Turned-Friend: Duncan quickly becomes Madison's partner in crime.
• Mighty Whitey and Mellow Yellow: Duncan and Madison...for a bit. It's complicated.
• Road Trip Plot
• Shapeshifting: One of the villains shapeshifts into Madison, nearly fooling Duncan.
• Titled After the Song: Each issue is named after a song, usually a punk or new wave song.
