Eternal Warrior is a comic-book series, originally created by Jim Shooter and published by Valiant Comics. It was one of the cornerstones of Valiant's classic line and an early part of the relaunched line.

Thousands of years old, Gilad Anni-Padda is a master tactician and warrior, who uses these powers to defend the Earth with the aid of the Geomancer.


This series contains examples of:

  • Arc Welding: In the Valiant Entertainment continuity, Gilad is the brother of Armstrong (from Archer & Armstrong) and an old friend of Aric of Dacia (from X-O Manowar.)
  • Advertisement:
  • Big Bad: Nergal, an ancient death god who keeps coming back over and over again
  • Older Than They Look: Gilad hails from the lost city of Ur, which was destroyed thousand of years ago. He only looks to be in his thirties.
  • Naturalized Name: Gilad adopted the name Gilad Abrams in modern times.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Gilad is several thousand years old.
