Titans West

     Beast Boy
On first glance, you expect this to be Garfield Mark Logan. But in a unique twist, the current Beast Boy of Earth-66667 is actually Justin Garfield Roth Logan - the son of Garfield Logan and Rachel "Raven" Roth.
  • Composite Character: The idea behind Justin's design is that while he is predominantly based on the Young Justice (2010) (particularly Seasons 3 & 4) version of Garfield, small parts of every other major adaptation of Beast Boy work their way into his appearance. The pointy ears can represent both the DCAMU and Teen Titans 2003, his purple-black color scheme represents the latter, etc. Even Titans is considered to be referenced, and his more ruffled hairstyle is supposed to reference the Beast Boy skin in Fortnite.
  • Disappeared Dad: Trigon tried to reincarnate himself through Justin's body, only to be stopped when the pregnant Raven sought out the assistance of Zatanna and John Constantine to put a stop to it. Unfortunately, Garfield had to sacrifice himself to ensure that his boy would have a chance at life. As a result, Justin never got to meet his dad and Raven's had to raise him as a single mother.
  • Human-Demon Hybrid: As he is Raven's son, and therefore Trigon's grandson, he automatically fits into this trope.
  • Original Character: He is technically a fully original character, or OC, being a hypothetical son of Beast Boy & Raven who never appeared in the original comics or related adaptations. A large reason behind his inclusion over just having Gar is so that his storylines and development are less predictable.
  • Related in the Adaptation: It probably should go unsaid, but when this Beast Boy calls Raven "mama", he means it more along the literal sense.
    • Albeit, this trope does not apply to the actual Garfield Logan.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Inheirited from his father, the original Beast Boy. However, as laid out in the description of the cover art, his powers are more limited in that he can only transform into demonic beasts and not into the animals of earth.

     Raven
  • Abusive Parents: What version of Raven doesn't have this trope? Specifically of the father variety.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Her backstory is mostly left unchanged from the comics, so this also goes without saying. The addition of what went down between her and Garfield before this comic also adds to it.
  • Vague Age: Depending on which adaptation you're comparing this too. The Raven of Earth-66667 gets to join her original comic self in actually being a grown woman. She might actually be older than her comic selves, the only range given is "early or mid 30's", and she's old enough to at least have a teenage son. Plus she could be immortal after a certain point anyway.
  • Human-Demon Hybrid: It's Raven. Raven from the DCU.
  • Struggling Single Mother: So far this trope is only inferred with very little to go on, but based on how Garfield sacrificed his soul to Trigon just to ensure Trigon doesn't come back but also that his son has a chance to live, leaving Raven to raise their son by herself all while they were still teenagers, it's a very strong implication.
  • Teen Pregnancy: Given her son is a teenager and she's still a relatively young - albeit adult - woman, it is strongly implied that Garfield knocked her up while they were both still teens.
  • Team Mom: In Beast Boy("jr.")'s case, literally. She's referred to as the "den mother" of the Titans, and essentially fulfills the same role on this team as Nightwing does in Young Justice.
  • The Leader: She is the oldest character on the cover and biological mother of one of the team members, making her the official leader of the team and the one in charge of the actual teens.

     Nightstar
Mar'i Grayson, the daughter of Dick Grayson (Nightwing) and Kori'andr (Starfire). Not often seen outside of the comics, not much yet is known about this universe's version of Nightstar other than her being a starting member of the Titans West team.

  • Adaptational Diversity: Her skin tone has been tanned to more closely resemble her mother, largely for the exact reason of making the initial team have more skin tone diversity.
  • Age Lift: Depending on the way you look at it, Mar'i has been aged down to be roughly the same age as the rest of the teenage boys on the team, said to be roughly the same age as Damian.

     Robin (Damian Wayne)
  • Composite Character: Though not as "complex" as Beast Boy, the Damian of his universe is another mixture of popular designs - the art style makes him look like the DCAMU version, but he wears the grey-red color scheme from the modern comics and sports his fade hairstyle from the Supersons comics.
  • Adaptational Diversity: Has more prominently tan-brownish skin than most "authorized" adaptations are given, which makes his Arabic heritage more readily apparent.

     Superboy
  • Reused Character Design: He is literally a reuse of the nearly exact Superboy design from 2019's Reign of the Supermen with the only change being a shift in eye color that is promised to somehow be plot relevant in the future (the eyes are a darker shade of blue). But the meat of the design remains basically untouched.

     Aqualad

  • Spared By Adaptation: The Aqualad of this universe is Arthur Curry Jr., who like in both Young Justice and Earth-27, is alive and kicking as if Death of a Prince never happened. In fact he's lived to be older than his Young Justice counterpart.
  • Reused Character Design: His design is basically just the Young Justice (2010) design except with slight alterations to make him look convincingly old enough to be a teenager such as some sharper edges, a bigger face, etc.
