The Exemplary Acolytes Class
An accomplished group of young arcanists studying at the Old Yru Academy of Medicine and Healing. Their academic excellence and connections have earned them an invited to attend a conclave held by the Order of the Universal Panacea, kickstarting the whole plot.
Utsushikome of Fusai
The main protagonist and 4th ranked of the class. An entropic Thanatomancer with a mysterious past, Utsu has ulterior motives for attending the Order's conclave. Indeed, her late grandfather, a former member of the Order, did something to her, and she's hoping to undo it by visiting Samium, an old friend of her grandfather's who is currently a member of the order.
Ran of Hoa-Trinh
Utsu's best friend and 11th ranked of the class, who specializes in Divination. One of the only people to know Utsu's secret and her real reason for visiting the Order.
Kamrusepa of Tuon
The 3rd ranked of the class and Utsu's academic rival, she specializes in Chronomancy. Passionate and opinionated, Kam is the class's most ardent believer of the Order's mission.
Theodoros of Melanthos
A timid and anxious guy who specializes in Transmutation and is 8th ranked of the class. A childhood friend of Utsu, he also has Linos, a member of the Order's inner circle, as his father.
Ptolema of Rheeds
An energetic and outgoing woman who specializes in arcane surgery. 10th ranked of the class and friends with Seth.
Seth of Ikkuret
A generally nice guy who specializes in Assistive Biomancy. Friends with Ptolema, and 5th ranked of the class.
Ophelia of the Glass Fields
A meek and soft-spoken girl who specializes in Alienist Biomancynote . 7th ranked of the class.
Lilith of Eskhalon
The youngest member of the class and 6th ranked, who specializes in Golemancy. Her uncle, Hamilcar, is a member of the Order's inner circle.
Bardiya of Tuon
A charismatic and composed man who specializes in anima scripting. Fought in the revolution, and 9th ranked of the class.
Ezekiel of Ilaadbat
The 2nd ranked in the class, he specializes in Neuromancy. A thoroughly unpleasant individual who manages to be racist and xenophobic towards just about everyone he meets.
Jia Fang
The 1st ranked and most accomplished member of the class, Fang was only 13 when they corrected the mathematical flaw in an incantation that hundreds of people worked on, and only went up from here. While initially declining to go to the conclave, they show up later and throw a wrench into things.
