Awesome / Thelma & Louise

• Louise confronting and killing Harlan after the latter's Attempted Rape of Thelma, while it does force the two of them to go on the lam, is nevertheless an immensely satisfying moment.
• Thelma and Louise blow up the truck driver's truck after he's been rude to them.
• Thelma, who up until this point has mostly come across as The Ditz, pulls off the coolest, most charismatic hold-up in criminal history. Afterwards, both she and Louise agree that maybe she finally has found her true calling.
• Slocumb's interrogation of J.D. after he was caught with the girls' money is a spectacular demonstration about how Good Is Not Soft. He makes it very clear his sympathy lies with the women and not J.D., before stating his intent to use everything in his power to ruin the young ne'er-do-well if things go south for them.
  Slocumb: Do you think Thelma Dickinson would have committed armed robbery if you hadn't taken all their money?
  (J.D., who has been cocky and talkative throughout the rest of the interrogation, visibly freezes up)
  Slocumb (to J.D.): Take your foot off that table.
  (He complies, still silent)
  Slocumb: Cat got your tongue?
  J.D.: No, uh… b-but ho-how do you know I took it…?
  (Slocumb, fed up, snatches J.D.'s hat off his head and starts smacking him with it)
  Slocumb: Don't you fucking lie to me! There's two girls out there that had a chance. They HAD a chance. And now, you've screwed it up for them.
  J.D.: No…
  Slocumb: And now, they're in some serious trouble. And I'm gonna hold you personally responsible for at least part of it if anything happens to them. I got no feeling for you. Now, you're either gonna tell me every damn thing you know, so there's a small chance that could actually do them some good, or I'm gonna be all over you like a fly on shit for the rest of your natural life. Your misery is gonna be my goddamn mission in life!
• J.D. is no saint, but there's something slightly satisfying about seeing him taunt Darryl about his tryst with Thelma. Given what a possessive asshole Darryl is, he had it coming.
• Thelma has put up with so much shit from Darryl and whilst on the phone to him trying to explain what happened to her and Louise, he still acts like a dick to her. What are her final words on the phone?
  Thelma: Darryl?
  Darryl: What?
  Thelma: Go fuck yourself! (hangs up)
  • Earlier, she instantly deduces that Darryl is cooperating with the police and hangs up on him the first time without leaving a trace of her location. How could she tell? He greets her with a cheerful "Hi, Honey!"
