Film:

  • The final death of Daisy. Warren and Mannix, bleeding to death from gunshots, decide to use their last moments stringing Daisy up, in honor of John Ruth's wishes and legacy as a bounty hunter.
Mannix: As my first and only act as sheriff of Red Rock, I hereby sentence you, Domergue, to hang by the neck until dead!
  • Ruth doesn't let a little thing like being poisoned stop him from trying to smash Daisy's face in. At one point, he even seems to vomit blood on her intentionally, purely out of spite.
  • Warren trusting Mannix with a gun shortly after killing his hero on the basis that he was the most likely person still alive to be on the side of the law.
    • Hell, a lot of what Warren does, especially managing to deduce something was wrong from spotting so many threads. It doesn't help him from getting shot in the groin from under the floorboards by Jody, who he had no way of knowing about, but that's some Sherlock Scanning right there.
    • And even after said Groin Attack, Warren is far from beaten. Despite being confined to a bed, he coaxes Jody into surrendering...and then blows his head apart.
  • Mannix spends most of his screentime being a complete racist asshole, despite his claims of being the sheriff of Red Rock being true, and is constantly at odds with Warren. But when Daisy gives him the choice between killing Warren and taking the corpses of Oswaldo and Gage in for their bounty or risking being shot up with Warren by her dead brother's gang, he certainly looks to take the deal, only to throw it back in her face on the count that she would say anything to survive, namely lying about there being more gang members, and that she didn't try to stop him as he was about to drink the poisoned coffee. Warren himself even gives a smile at this.
  • Mannix proves himself a good shot when Oswaldo shoots him in the leg in the confusion caused by Jody shooting Warren in the groin, and he still returns fire with a more accurate centre-mass shot that mortally wounds Oswaldo, and is fast enough to keep a gun on Gage to prevent him for going for a weapon as well.
  • An instance entirely without gunplay: Daisy picking up a guitar and performing a surprisingly pretty rendition of the Australian folk song "Jim Jones at Botany Bay". John Ruth listens in and actually asks her to keep going into the last verse... where she swaps out a line that's already about breaking loose and turning to a life of banditry for something that more directly foreshadows her intentions.
But by and by, I'll break my chains, and to the bush I'll go,
And you'll be dead behind me, John, when I get to Mexico...
  • Credit where credit is due, Daisy is quite intimidating for a woman in a completely powerless situation. Not only are the rest of the extremely well-armed troupe afraid of her and with due reason, she takes every single opportunity to turn the tables she gets. It is quite obvious that it was only good luck and quick thinking from Warren and Mannix that prevented her from doing so. At no point does she manage to be completely free up until the very end (either she's handcuffed or restrained by Ruth) and she still seems seconds away from dominating the scene. Especially great is her chopping off Ruth's arm without a moment's hesitation and quickly dashing for the gun after Mannix passes out. A second more and Warren and Mannix would have been completely dead.
