• The climax with the group and Rupert, Earl and Retro on the moon.
  • As well as the plan to trap the villains in an inescapable time loop.
  • Following that battle is the second battle on Earth with Evil Calvin.
• Bob leaving his post to distract the bad guys so Calvin can escape and later on pulling a Heel–Face Turn. Not bad for the shy harmless unimportant sidekick.
• The different ways Hobbes and the others manage themselves during the match with the dangerous monsters, with Loophole Abuse and Hidden Depths.
• In the rewritten version, Moe returns in Chapter Two after a period of absence (which the characters have Lampshade Hanged multiple times), where he and his goons bully Susie by taking her doll and threatening to rip it. Calvin, knowing that time is moving normally, decides to stand up for Susie and confront Moe one last time. What follows is extremely cathartic as Calvin, who has dealt with nearly every threat in the known universe, doesn't even flinch at Moe's threats and coolly executes his plan to have his friends bombard the thugs with water balloons. All while giving Moe a calm "Reason You Suck" Speech.
• In a serious case of Hidden Depths, Calvin's parents and Rosalyn prove remarkably adept at fighting the monsters and dealing with all the hectic craziness around them. Even Susie proves effective when she "tortures" a monster for information with an impromptu tea party.
• One for the monsters, too. They managed to hold off the Brainstorms, who held their own against a Zokian invasion in Double Trouble. Had Calvin and the crew not arrived at the end, the monsters might have actually taken over the world.
