  • Verity Lambert and Waris Hussein convincing William Hartnell to take the part of "Dr. Who", while the original theme is shown being created between shots.
  • Heck, all Who nostalgia aside, just the fact that a Jewish woman and a gay Indian were together so successful in television during The '60s is empowering in of itself.
  • Sydney Newman is ordered by the BBC suits to can the show after they finish the episodes they currently have in production (for four total), due to concerns regarding the budget, content, and ratings of the show thus far. It hasn't helped that nobody watched the first episode because of news coverage of the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Newman, rather than blame the show's cancellation on the executives, tells Lambert that he wants the show cancelled, and rather than concede to the decision, Lambert shouts him down over it, convincing him to go back to the suits and fight for the show's continued existence. Even better, Lambert convinces him to re-air the first episode again, to give it a fair chance to be seen.
    • After "The Daleks" airs, Newman calls her into his office... to inform her that the show got ten million views.
  • David Bradley's performance as the First Doctor in the re-enactments of scenes from Hartnell's tenure was so well received that four years later, he would play the First Doctor himself in the 2017 Christmas Special.
    • Even better David Bradley gets to play as the First Doctor again in Big Finish audio dramas alongside the actors who played William Russell, Jacqueline Hill and Carole Ann Ford to play as the First Doctor's very first companions in the tv show.
