Volume 1

• Glenn decides to get serious and actually teach Class 2 magic, and the first thing he does is telling them to their faces that they don't really know a thing about magic. One of the students basically retorts that's rich coming for a teacher who can't even cast the simple Shock Bolt spell in one verse, to which Glenn just smiles and goes into a lecture on how "simple" the Shock Bolt spell really is by tinkering with the Magical Incantation in ways they had never considered before. The class soon have a bitter realization when they finally understand that they've been studying magic by rote, dutifully learning spell after spell without ever stopping to think how magic actually works, making them passable magic users but not at all magicians by any stretch of the word.
• The academy is taken over by terrorist, Glenn's unable to call the other lecturers, it's clear that going to the authorities is gonna take a while to act and the students inside are in danger. What does Glenn do? He goes inside once it's clear their lives are in danger.
• Chased by several skeletons, Glenn decides to use it his strongest spell Extinction Ray and while he did use a catalyst to use it, it's still an impressive feed since the only other person who can use it is Celica Arfonia.
• Glenn figuring out where Rumia is taken by realizing that the last member didn't attack him despite the fact a day has passed and he's incapacitated which should make him an easy target and with Celica's knowledge of teleportation circles.

Volume 2

• It's often mentioned that Sistine is a gifted student, but her duel during the festival has a nice Subversion of her Informed Ability status. She used the altered incantation of a wind spell to immobilize her opponent just like in the previous Story Arc — no surprise there. However, she then added a single additional verse to the already actualized spell to change its behavior back into a fully offensive attack while giving the other duelist no time to counterattack. In other words, Sistine didn't just learn Glenn's lesson about altered incantations, she built upon it and found a way to Comboing the two manifestations of the same spell into a sound and canny restrict'n'hit tactic that earned her the win and gave the title to her class.
• Glenn holding his own against Zelos who despite his old age is considered a monster in strength since he survived the war between Alzano and Rezalia years ago.

Volume 4

• Glenn and Albert fighting against the artificial monsters Burk's created and defeating them all.
• Albert killing Burks by throwing knives on him causing him to bleed the drug out and die from blood loss.
• Glenn succesfully managing to pin Re=L down and reminding her of her past and origins.
• Re=L recollecting herself and killing all three of her sisters with ease.

Volume 5

• According to Jatice, Glenn always had a low chance to survive the missions he took as an Imperial Court Mage, yet he managed to prevail every time including the fight against Jatice a year prior to the series. In that fight Jatice believed his victory was assured after killing Sara, but in the end Glenn still managed to prevail despite the fact his Living Emotional Crutch just died in front of him. On top of that Jatice had the advantage since his tulpas are the counter to Glenn's "The Fool's World" which means that Glenn not only had emotional scarring, but also only had his tools and magic to fight back with while Jatice could use magic and tulpas against him, but yet was still unable to defeat him and was defeated by him instead.
• Sistine finding the courage to finally fight despite her fears. She and Glenn then fight against Jatice and manage to make him retreat.

Volume 6

• Cash convincing Glenn to take Sistine, Rumia and Re=L with him to save Celica.
• Glenn, Sistine, Rumia and Re=L managed to widdle down the Wraith to its last life through teamwork.
• Despite her soul being damaged, Celica decides to use her original magic, "My World", despite being warned by Namenlose that she might lose her ability to use magic, but she does it anyway since she doesn't want her adopted son to die.

Volume 7

• Albert sniping Zaeed's baton despite being several kilometers away and only having a small opening to shoot at such a small target.

Volume 9

• Glenn defeating the resurrected Reik (who this time turned himself into a half-dragon hybrid with his family's forbidden magic) by himself with use of tools he used as an Imperial Court Mage.
• Sistine inspired by Glenn's determination to defeat Reik gains the courage and plan to fight back against a resurrected Jin by letting him get close to her and rip him apart with a tornado with her inside of it. The end result is Jin critically injured and although Eve was the one who finished him off, Sistine managed to hold him off long enough to survive.
• Glenn and Jatice fighting against members of the Researchers of Divine Wisdom and to make it even more amazing they aren't fighting together, they only attack the same enemy while still being cautious of each other since they both know full well that they can't trust the other.
• Glenn thinking about everything what happened throughout this volume, realizes that there is something off with Lazar's plan. He deduces that the spell circle that suposedly activates Megiddo's Fire is a trap and activates it instead of dispelling it. It turns out he's correct and managed to delay Lazar's plan for a little bit and give them more time to stop him.

Volume 10

• Harley and Christoph creating a barrier strong enough to protect Fejite from "Megiddo's Fire". To make it better they did it thanks to Lazar's shield which he had thrown away and destroyed himself after becoming an Astral Lord.
• Since volume 4 there are several mentions of "Eve Kaisur Gunpowder" with Jatice even stating that Glenn could have won their fight if he had it in volume 5. In this volume we find out why. It turns out that the gunpowder allows Glenn to put his magic characteristics inside the bullet and then shoot it at the target at point blank range. The result is an attack powerful enough to destroy the souls of pretty much anything including the Astral Lord they are facing which was stated to have a nearly invincible body.

Volume 11

• Eve defeating all of Maxim's students with ease despite not being able to use magic with her left hand.
• Thanks to Glenn's and Eve's training Class 2 managed to hold their own and even overwhelm Maxim's students.
• Eve using a fire spell, while knowing full well that she will turn into a book and die if she does that in order to give Glenn an opening to shoot the mad ghost Alicia III.

Volume 12

• Celica activating an ancient spell that lets her summon a meteor against the Silver Dragon.

Volume 13

• Albert insulting the 3 new imperial court mages by not seeing them as a threat by saying that Glenn is the biggest threat of them all. He then proves his word by defeating them all with ease and giving them a Game-Breaking Injury. It's rather satisfying to see this since earlier they insulted and and even tried to kill Glenn after beating him up in a sparring match.
• The battle between Glen and Albert is full of these. Throughout the series we saw the two of them fight alongside each other and now it's time for their showdown.
  • Throughout their fight they keep countering and predicting each other attacks with the other one keep trying to one up the other and throughout this Glenn managed to shorten the distance between them.
  • Glenn whose very close to using the "Fool's World" against Albert, realizes that he also has a good chance to shoot him. Glenn uses "Chrono Boost" to move quickly, only for Albert to expect him and shoot him in the heart, but as it turns out Glenn expected Albert to shoot him there and actually put a Pocket Protector there which blocked his shot. And thus Glenn managed to close in on Albert and use his original magic on him. They then fight each other with only their tools and fists to fight with while talking about their ideologies and why they can't lose.
  • In the end Glenn actually managed to defeat Albert! For the record earlier in the volume Albert defeated a squad of elite mages and 3 new imperial court mages with unique magic. Yet it's Glenn who managed to defeat him thanks to knowing all of Albert's abilities and techniques during their time working together and no, Glenn didn't have the full advantage, because Albert also knows all of Glenn's abilities and techniques and at the beginning of the fight they were 1000 meters apart. There is a reason why Albert considered Glenn his biggest threat and even Eve admitted that Glenn is probably the only one who could defeat Albert.
• Eve reveals to Illia the secret of her magic "Moon's cradle". Illia congratulates Eve for discovering her spell and that this is the first time someone managed to do it, only for Eve to reveal that Glenn was the one who discovered it since realized something was off with her since she tried to put herself as Sera in Glenn's memories which in turn are precious to him much to Illia's surprise since she also underestimated Glenn.

Volume 14

• Ellen Kleitos has relived the same week for around a thousand years yet despite her growing power and knowledge of the previous loops, she never managed to defeat Sistine. This shows that Sistine became a truly strong magician for her age thanks to Glenn and Eve's training since instead of being surprised at her moves being read, she instead just adapts and creates new tactics.
• In order to defeat Le Kill, Glenn has Sistine abstain from the competition to teach her a new spell, Storm Grasper, which allows her to control wind in an area to counter Le Kill's wind. This allows her to give Glenn an opening to shoot the deity with his "Penetrator", thus ending the timeloops and allowing the world's time to go back to normal.

Volume 15

• Glenn finding out not only who sent the dragon to attack Sistine, but also how to locate him out of the thousands people in the stadium. He does this by remembering Luna's comment about her partner which while sounds absurd is also possible considering how inhuman they looked and felt along with his pale looks and report that he died 3 years ago.
• Although it was later stated the dragon didn't try to kill her, Sistine still managed to keep the dragon busy long enough for Glenn to find the person controlling it and despite her exhaustion, she then goes to support her team and managed to defeat the opposing team's leader thus giving Alzano their victory.
• Glenn and Eve holding their own against Luna and Chase. Although they were empowered by Rumia's power, it should still be noted that Glenn's still considered a third rate mage and Eve can't use magic with her left hand, while their opponents are an angel and a vampire respectively thus placing them on superhuman levels, despite this they were able to hold their own against their opponent and even defeat them. Even if Glenn needed the power of Rumia's key to do so.
• In order to help Glenn defeat Luna, Rumia's tries to summon the Silver Key to help him. Despite warnings from her inner self she managed to manifest a smaller key which allows her to freeze the space around Luna to give Glenn an opening to defeat her.

Volume 16

• When Eve explains to everyone why Sistine is unable to attack Sakuya. Everyone falls silent... except for Glenn who in turn only laughs at this since the only reason she's like this is because of Shigure's mantra and decides to cheer her on by getting everyone's attention by shooting Extinction Ray into the air and yell as hard as possible to her and even better is that this works!
• Sistine who now regained her fighting spirit charges the attack agains the opposing team. Supported by her teammates nothing can stop her, let it be Sakya's teammates, Shigure's mantra or even Sakuya's undead army which allows Alzano to gain one point and eventually win the game.
• Sistine finally accepting her feelings towards Glenn.
• After going through several of Alicia III memories and not having enough time, Glenn realizes where the spirit is. He then without hesitation shoots... himself! But instead of him feeling pain, it's the spirit of Lucias who feels it.
• Sistine, Rumia and Re=L coming to Glenn's rescue when the Lucias' spirit attacks Glenn with his army. They all use their powers to give Glenn enough time to chant Extinction Ray which vaporizes the army and their lord.

Volume 17

• In the previous volume Ferrod Berif called Jatice a madman who will never reach the truth he knows, but this volume Jatice proves him wrong:
  • Although rather morally questionable, Jatice was able to prevent the war between Alzano and Rezalia, Ferrod seeked by forcing every country to unite against an evil god instead.
  • When Ferrod makes his prescense clear to Jatice and talks to him, Jatice reveals that everything was shown to everyone in Milano which has many people from different world due to the Magic Festival, thus causing Ferrod to lose the mystery surrounding him and letting everyone know he exists.
  • Jatice then gives Ferrod a brutal "The Reason You Suck" Speech for underestimating humans too much since not only was Jatice able to find out the truth himself, but he also gave Ferrod's plan two setbacks. He was so satisfied about the results that even being sent to another dimension doesn't bother him.
• In contrast to her first appearance, Eve shows exactly how skilled she is as a commander without her father influencing her in any way by creating a risky plan with only the few hundreds troops she has against Azel's thousands. To make it even better is that it truly works without any problem especially since while Clone Lydia did realize her tactics, Azel doesn't due to his arrogance and paranoia.
• Thanks to her plan, Eve & Glenn are now isolated for one and a half hour to face off against Azel and Lydia's clone:
  • With Glenn's mental support, Eve calls out her father for using nobility and justice as an excuse to hide his ugly ambitions as the worst villainous scum in history.
  • Even though she is dead, Lydia still supports her sister by subconsciously influencing the clone not to harm Eve, allowing her to take control of the Seventh Garden the clone set up and support Glenn against Azel.
  • After defeating Lydia's clone, Eve goes to help Glenn fight Azel who transformed himself into a Demon General. She paralyzes Azel with the Seventh Garden, allowing Glenn to finish him off. Azel completely fearful of Glenn's figure desperately tries to order Eve to release him, only for Eve to look at her father in disgust for his methods and let Glenn finish him off while telling her father this:
    Farewell father... I hate you.
• After being hit by Glenn's attack, Azel barely clings on to life by turning himself back into a human. He then meets up with his minion Illia, who.. cuts his hand into many pieces. She then tells him a story of a horrible father who treats his daughters horribly and even tried to kill the younger one, who in turn ended up secretly working for him to get revenge on him for killing the older one later on. Azel completely terrified and under the realization who she is can only scream at the sight of Illia revealing herself as Aries Ignite and cutting him up.

Volume 18

• The Researchers of Divine Wisdom regroup for the final battle, but only a grand total of two members show up since Glenn and his allies decimated every Demon General, while Jatice killed every other member.
• Sistine once again fighting against Jin for a third time and this time without any help, she was not only able to defeat him, but also outright kill him. To make it more satisfying, Jin outright thought that she didn't have the will just like last time only to realize that she truly is willing to the deed.

Memory Records of Bastard Magic Instructor

Volume 1

• "Heavens, the lonesome witch"
  • Celica is stabbed, mentally worn down by the reveal the person bonded with was a lie and is afflicted with a curse that causes her pain whenever she uses magic. However she still has the strength to use her most powerful spell against the lich, because to her it just means she has to endure it.

Volume 2

• "Two Idiots"
  • Glenn using the Fool's World for the first time to save his Childhood Friend Nina from her cousin and then beating him in submission with his martial art skills and for the records this was back when he was 12.
  • In the present Nina managed to take over her father's company and reform it into a legal company which not only funds orphanages, but is also much more succesful than her father could do with shady practices.

Volume 3

• "The Case-Book of Rosalie Detert"
  • Rosalie defeating the entire gang by herself with just her swordfighting ability.

Volume 4

• "Fake Hero"
  • Aria managing to retain parts of her personality despite being turned into a demon and tries to kill Pauwell Fune in order to avenge the orphans sacrificed and save her younger brother Adel.

Volume 5

• "THE JUSTICE"
  • In order to test Glenn, Jatice gives him a choice on how to save Niege and their lives. He has to find the antidote to the virus out of 100 identical bottles, but the true amazing part is Glenn's answer.
    • Glenn tells Jatice that he won't play his game and injects the contents of some bottles onto himself and then purifies his blood before it gets deadly much to Jatice's surprise. Despite Neige's objections Glenn keeps doing it since it's the right thing to do. It also turns out Glenn was very close to finding the antidote since it was right next to the last bottle he picked up!
    • Jatice made this test to see if Glenn's justice is true since injecting a bottle with poison would mean that Glenn is willing to sacrifice people for his own self-satisfaction and if he did find it in one try, it means that Glenn is some kind of Chosen One and possibly the biggest obstacle to his justice. However Glenn's answer was something even he could never expect and then found the bottle for him since to him it proves that Glenn's justice is equal to his own justice.
    • Once the test is over, they both make it clear that although they are supposed to be allies now, they won't hestitate to kill the other once the day their ideals clash against each other.

Volume 6

• "Inheritor of the Flame"
  • Lydia threatening three magicians who want to beat up Eve, making it clear she does not tolerate their behavior and also does not care about her reputation.
  • Lydia activating a spell which allows her to use fire magic despite the barrier negating it, at the cost of the ability to use magic. She knows the risks completely, but knows she must do this to save Eve and manages to defeat all seven magicians threatening their lives.
  • Just to keep it short do not threaten Eve in front of Lydia!
