Misae reveals that she was planning a massive barbeque for that night, and to save money for it, she was cutting costs on breakfast, but before the day could start, a man and a mysterious organization suddenly arrives at the house and are told to come with them after the former gave "something" to the Noharas. Feeling threatened, the Noharas flee the house, but soon after, false information about the Nohara family as a gang of criminals.

This film contains examples of:

  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: While the rest of the family are framed for serious crimes, Hiroshi is framed as a criminal for the simple fact of having excessive body odor.
  • Awesome, but Impractical: The hypnotic device can alter reality at will, yet to activate and use the machine, it requires a voice password that has to be re-created to perfection each time and can't be changed.
  • Broken Pedestal:
    • Thanks to the manipulations of the secret organization, many of the Nohara's closest friends view the Nohara as these, turning against them.
    • Shinnosuke faints when his favorite hero Action Mask denounces him on tv, feeling betrayed.
  • Et Tu, Brute?: While Shinnosuke should have expected it due to his sudden unwanted status as a criminal, he feels betrayed when the Kasukabe Defence Force turns against him and allows the organization to easily capture the boy in exchange for giant bags of candy. Feeling guilty over selling Shinnosuke, the group later makes amends with him by helping him escape
  • Fair-Weather Friend: Many of the Nohara's friends and allegiances quickly turn their back on them the second they learn that the family is accused of being criminals.
  • Forced Transformation: The hypnotic device can transform everyone into anything the user of the machine desires. When Shinosuke manages to obtain the device, he turns everyone into Buriburizaemon
  • Frame-Up: The secret organization uses its influence to frame up the Noharas for various crimes and paint them as dangerous criminals.
  • Incredibly Conspicuous Drag: Due to being improvised, Hiroshi's disguise as a woman isn't very convincing, using giant balloons as breasts and still having his beard.
  • Involuntary Group Split: Trying to get away from the secret organization, the Noharas involuntarily split on a cornfield, going to separate ways to Tatami
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Shinnosuke uses the hypnotic device one final time to make the organization members and the boss forget about the organization and everything about it as well as making everyone in Japan to forget about their unwanted status as dangerous criminals
  • No "Police" Option: The Noharas initially try to go to the police to help them against the organization and clarify the rumors spread about their presumed illegal actions, but they quickly discard the idea upon seeing that the police already put wanted posters believing the lies and are chasing them.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: The family attempts to escape by disguising themselves with improvised disguises, but despite managing to fool everyone for a while, they don't get very far as Himawari accidentally ruins their cover.
  • Status Quo Is God: The movie ends with Shinnosuke using to make everyone forget that they were perceived as criminals, clearing their names.
  • You Can't Go Home Again: Due to being wanted criminals, the police quickly take over Nohara's house, surrounding the building with police tape. This is undone at the end, when everyone forgets about the Noharas being criminals
