While the game is intended to have voice-acting, the director of the project has stated that they are exploring an option to have "grunt-only" cutscenes for fans who preferred the Silence Is Golden approach of the early Lego video games!
After a literal year of waiting, a gameplay trailer was finally released.
And after another year with little to no news, another gameplay trailer was released at Gamescom 2021. While some people are disappointed about the delay to Spring 2022, the trailer does feature a ton of new gameplay, including a shot of the new galaxy map. In addition, the trailer also confirmed that some scenes that were not present in previous games, such as the Gungan Sub chase in The Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan and Jango Fett's dogfight over Geonosis in Attack of the Clones, and Yoda and Palpatine’s duel in Revenge of the Sith, will all be featured in this game as playable levels.
The release is finally announced for April 5th, with the gameplay trailer showing the game will be everything expected. Oh, and it finally confirms Mumble Mode, allowing "grunt-only cutscenes" for old-school fans!
The update on May 19, 2022, which not only fixed several major bugs but also patched in four capital ships that had been removed from the game prior to launch.
