* WhatAnIdiot:
** Big Bad Government Guy [[spoiler:stealing the Stick of Truth, completely oblivious to the fact it's just a stick being used in a children's game and has no actual powers]]. Even by South Park's standard use of AdultsAreUseless, this stands out and the boys lampshade this.
** The New Kid's father [[spoiler:repeatedly stresses to his wife that they can't let their son know that they moved to South Park to stop the government taking advantage of his ability to make friends incredibly quickly. At the start of the game, he literally forces you out of the house and tells you make friends]].
** Both the KKK and Drow Elves openly discuss their battle plans on Website/{{Twitter}} ... er, [[InsistentTerminology via carrier raven]]. Both factions "intercept" each other's "ravens" regularly, and neither consider using a more secure form of communication.

* FanPreferredCouple: Some fans seem to like The New Kid/Annie Knitts, seeing how he [[RescueRomance rescued her from bullies that tried to break her Justin Bieber doll]] as a good way to justify starting a relationship between them.

* FunnyAneurysmMoment: Also crossing with HarsherInHindsight; [[spoiler:Princess Kenny, who was a parody of [[Series/GameOfThrones Daenerys Targaryen]], pulls a FaceHeelTurn for no reason other than an obviously fake backstory he came up with the last second and becomes the game's FinalBoss, which in itself is a hilarious moment. That scene loses much of its humor 5 years later when, in the actual series, Daenerys Targaryen pulls a FaceHeelTurn in "[[Recap/GameOfThronesS8E5TheBells The Bells]]" and slaughters thousands of innocent people in King's Landing]].

** Whilst some European and Australian fans weren't happy about the censorship, they found the anal probing and abortion minigames that were censored to [[ActuallyPrettyFunny be pretty funny]].

* CrazyAwesome: Kenny, the series' [[TheUnintelligible unintelligible]] and [[TheyKilledKennyAgain often-killed]] LovableSexManiac, dresses up ([[StylisticSuck badly]]) as a pretty princess in this game and acts like he's actually a beautiful girl; he even successfully uses IHaveBoobsYouMustObey when he doesn't have any boobs to speak of. [[spoiler:And then it turns out that he decided to be one of the main villains, with the only explanation being an extremely clichéd (and obviously false) backstory narrated by Creator/MorganFreeman. And for the final battle, he turns ''himself'' into a Nazi Zombie.]]

* CharacterTiers: There are three tiers of buddies: Butters and Kyle are top tier [[note]] Butters can heal the new kid for free, doubles as a tank, and has an attack that hits enemy columns, while Kyle has massive amounts of damage to both single and multiple targets, as well as buffing your team for free[[/note]], Princess Kenny and Stan are middle tier [[note]] Princess Kenny has a great attack for hitting an enemy row and deals better damage against lightly-armored foes, while Stan can do solid damage to an enemy target, but both become outclassed when Kyle joins[[/note]], and Jimmy and Cartman are bottom tier [[note]] Jimmy is really only useful for putting the Secret Service to sleep for BonusBoss Al Gore, and by the time Cartman is obtained, so is Kyle, who does everything Cartman does, only better, making Cartman completely useless once the achievements are obtained[[/note]].

* EvilIsCool: {{Inverted|Trope}} with [[spoiler:Princess Kenny]], with this unfittingly villainous persona being far less cool than [[spoiler:Kenny's]] {{dark|IsNotEvil}}er AntiHero persona of [[spoiler:Mysterion]] from the series proper. Then again, she qualifies anyway by sheer {{Moe}}, RuleOfFunny and still being pretty badass in her own right.
* EvilIsSexy: [[spoiler:This is yet another thing that Princess Kenny wants/is pretending to be and utterly fails at because she's a little boy.]]

*** And of course, [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain Cart]][[PoliticallyIncorrectHero man]]'s response when selecting the class - "Well, looks like we can't be friends."

* ThatOneBoss:
** The penultimate boss [[spoiler:Nazi Zombie Chef]] is a huge spike in difficulty, with great health, very powerful attacks, and immunity to many status ailments. In short, he's very nasty for a non-bonus boss.
** [[spoiler:Al Gore.]] At this point of the game, very few things (if any) have given you any real challenge. Then you start getting spam and have to unfriend the person sending it. He's the [[WakeUpCallBoss first boss in the game who requires a solid strategy to beat]] due to him attempting to put you to sleep and [[FlunkyBoss summoning ludicrously powerful at the time minions]] to help him afterward. The only saving grace is that you don't HAVE to go out of your way to fight him......unless you want to stop him from spamming you for the rest of the game.

** The abortion level. Some clicks don't respond at all, making it difficult to [[spoiler:remove Randy's balls from the vacuum]].
** This creates a certain irony given that some people complained that those mini games are skipped in the European and Australian version.

** Randy teaching the New Kid the Squeaky Sneaker. The first control prompt is unclear and difficult to do correctly and is quick to fail the player. Expect to hear "Kee-yah! You call that farting on someone? Try again" from Randy ''several'' times.

** At the end of the game, did [[spoiler:Dovahkiin leave his new friends because of how stupid they are, or because he believes that his life will just continue to cause pain and suffering to everyone around him? Or was he just fed up with being called Douchebag all the time? Or maybe he just wanted to sleep, since the last three days were pretty eventful]]?
*** [[spoiler:Another possibility is is that Dovahkiin may still be in shock from learning the fact he's been (and may still be) hunted by the government because of his friend-making talents. This revelation may have given him a lot to think about and decided to go home either to have some time alone to think about what he's learned, or to confront his parents with what he learned so he can find out more about his past.]]

* SoBadItsGood: Much of Princess Kenny's humor deals with how unconvincing he looks as a girl despite his exaggeratedly feminine mannerisms. At least he's having fun [[LovableSexManiac pretending to be the very thing he's obsessed with]].

** The bells that you hear while [[spoiler:you're inside Mr. Slave's stomach with the snuke. It sounds a lot like the snuke's detonation is imminent.

** At the end of the game, did [[spoiler:Dovahkiin leave his new friends because of how stupid they are, or because he believes that his life will just continue to cause pain and suffering to everyone around him? Or was he just fed up with being called Douchebag all the time? Or maybe he just wanted to sleep, since the two last nights were pretty eventful]]?

* EarWorm: Many of the songs qualify, in fine ''South Park'' tradition, but mostly the 8-bit version of "Blame Canada" and the Princess Kenny theme [[spoiler:extended into the most obnoxiously cutesy boss battle theme you'll ever find]].

* ItsEasySoItSucks: Is shaping up to be a common complaint. While the game isn't necessarily a walk in the park, it's not significantly challenging, either (except for [[ThatOneBoss Al Gore]]). Particularly noteworthy is the fact that there seems to be very little difference between playing the game on any of the game's three difficulties. Because of the extremely hard-coded LevelScaling of the enemies, which when combined with the low level cap means that the player is actually getting weaker with level ups until they find equipment matching their level.
* ItsShortSoItSucks: With a normal playtime of between 9 to 11 hours has gathered some complaints because a 10 hour game is short compared to most [=RPGs=]. The other complaint is "it's really short for being $60"

* MoralEventHorizon: [[spoiler:Clyde resurrecting Chef as a Nazi Zombie, then setting him on fire and [[MercyKill forcing the player character to kill him again]] after Chef's friendship with the children overpowered the Nazi Zombie virus.]]

* StoicWoobie: The New Kid himself.

* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: Ties in with GeniusBonus above. One of the collector’s editions is called the “Grand Wizard Edition.” Odds are some stores would refuse to carry that edition if they knew what that title actually meant.

** At the end of the game, did [[spoiler: Dovahkiin leave his new friends because of how stupid they are, or because he believes that his life will just continue to cause pain and suffering to everyone around him? * AngstWhatAngst: The kids don't seem to be specifically put off by [[spoiler: having to re-kill a Nazi Zombie Chef]] and are still more angry about [[spoiler: Clyde stealing The Stick]] than the former action once they [[spoiler: kill Chef all over again]].

** The ending also plays this for laughs when [[spoiler:farting on Nazi Zombie Princess Kenny's balls somehow cures all the Nazi Zombies.]] One of the [[spoiler: cured former Nazi Zombies]] even [[StrangeMindsThinkAlike speculates this is exactly what happened]] despite not being present for the incident.

** It also features a lot of songs from the series, such as the Princess Kenny song... [[spoiler: As the FinalBoss theme.]]

** An achievement even describes having you [[spoiler: fart on the corpse of an aborted Nazi Zombie fetus]]. What's the achievement named? [[LampshadeHanging Too Far.]]
** A few cutscenes and minigames were cut from the releases in Australia and the EU, (namely the ones where [[spoiler: you and Randy get "[[AssShove probed]]" by the aliens, and the minigame where you perform an abortion on Randy]]). How did the game get around this? By having a RelaxOVision screenshot (of either [[CryingIndian a crying]] [[UsefulNotes/AustralianWildlife koala]] or a {{Face Palm}}ing Statue of David), while having appropriately {{Squick}}-y sound effects, and a [[LemonyNarrator Lemony Text]] describing in colorful detail what was supposed to be in the scene that was just cut ([[TakeThat while taking potshots at Australia's and the EU's squeamishness towards]] ToiletHumor to boot).
** Seriously, of what other game on the planet [[ARareSentence could you possibly say the sentence]] "I just defeated [[spoiler: a giant aborted fetus turned into a Nazi zombie by alien rapists]]"?

** The bells that you hear while [[spoiler:you're inside Mr. Slave's stomach with the snuke. It sounds a lot like the snuke's detonation is '''[[OhCrap imminent]]''']].

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: A lot of European and Australian fans are not happy about the game getting censored in their regions, especially since it was Ubisoft's decision in Europe. However, it should be noted that losing 'disturbing' footage wasn't what got a lot of people angry, it was the fact that Australia and Europe ''lost'' two mini-games due to censorship [[spoiler: fighting the Anal Probe and giving Randy an abortion]].

* CrossesTheLineTwice: Much like the show itself.

* GameBreaker: Every player class has them.

* CompletelyMissingThePoint: Rush straight through and it's just your average RPG with a combat system that rips off ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'', about 20 hours long. Since it plays like an episode of ''WesternAnimation/SouthPark'' starring you, it is ''vital'' to engage in the plot and side-quests - even more so if the player takes time to explore and search for the sheer amount of {{mythology gag}}s that were thrown in. Most people who dislike the game missed this part.
** To enjoy the game, it is almost compulsory to enjoy the show, or at least to be the kind of person who'd enjoy the show.

*** It may not even be an AssPull considering that the first Timefart technique the New Kid learns in the sequel, Timefart Glitch, resets the condition of the people and objects around them. Stick of Truth's ending could have had the New Kid use Timefart Glitch for the first time and turn everything back to normal.
