** For anybody who got annoyed with the last few Red Rangers being hot-blooded, loud-mouths can relax, knowing that Yamato is a bit more mature and serious.

** Of all the Reds to have a voice-only cameo from the original actor in the ''Ninninger'' crossover, it's [[Series/ChoujuuSentaiLiveman Daisuke Shima reprising his role as Red Falcon]]. Ignoring ''Gokaiger'', this gives Shima the honor of being the first ''Sentai'' actor to reprise his role in more than one MilestoneCelebration season, as Yuusuke/Red Falcon has a major role in ''[[Series/HyakujuuSentaiGaoranger Gaoranger vs Super Sentai]]''.[[note]]This does not count Rei Saito/Tsuetsue, who originated in ''Gaoranger'' and returned in ''Boukenger'', but technically only reprised her role once, or Toru Furuya/Aka Red, who is a special case due to being made for Milestone Celebration seasons.[[/note]]

* NightmareFuel:
** In episode 8, [[MonsterOfTheWeek Yabaiker]] has an ability called "Pararira Noise", which turns anyone who hears it into mindless thugs that are willing to cause property damage and even bodily harm.
** The [[spoiler:Rhino, Crocodile, and Wolf Zyumans]] were shown to hang from metal chains by their necks and were presumably killed that way [[spoiler:to steal their Zyuman powers]]. Pretty nasty stuff considering the intended demographic.
** Quval's VillainousBreakdown in Episode 42. He has completely lost his mind after witnessing Genis' true power, his voice rings of unhinged and he's killing indiscriminately. All hoping it would appease Ginis.

** So people joked about Kohei Murakami's character Bard causing some misunderstandings[[labelnote:note]]He played [[MagnificentBastard Masato Kusaka]] in Series/KamenRiderFaiz, a very memetic character.[[/labelnote]], whether betraying the gang or doing something that would cause infighting. Hell, his character already somewhat started that as early as #11. But then comes [[spoiler:#46]], and even though it has been established since then that Bard is a good guy, the fact that he caused a severe misunderstanding that affected a character's backstory has fans laughing in glee. The extra irony being that it was also established that Bard [[ContrivedCoincidence didn't do it on purpose, either]].

* AntiClimaxBoss: While [[spoiler:Genis gave the Zyuoghers a tough battle when he was normal size, when he enlarged himself, he went down within two minutes, possibly setting a record for fastest gigantic FinalBattle in ''Franchise/SuperSentai'' history. Though it was justified as it was said that outside his base, he was considerably weaker, hence the reason he harnessed the world's power]].

** ''[[Film/DoubutsuSentaiZyuohgerTheMovieTheHeartPoundingCircusPanic The Heart Pounding Circus Panic]]'': [[BigBad Domidol(l)]] is an alien [[RepulsiveRingmaster ringmaster]] who runs an [[CircusOfFear evil circus]] where he enslaves his victims, including [[WouldHurtAChild children]], as he traverses the cosmos to build his ultimate intergalactic ring. Destroying planets and stars he deems as in his way, Domidoll arrives to Earth, kidnaps a host of children and plans to [[HumanResources convert their fears and sorrow to energy]], whereupon he will begin bombing Earth's cities. His ultimate goal is to obliterate Earth to clear the space for his circus, and he has no compunction attempting to murder children who get in his way.

** Genis is actually [[spoiler:a collection of [[{{Mooks}} Moebas]]]] and [[spoiler:has a massive InferioritySuperiorityComplex revealed as soon as his true nature is discovered.]]

** Genis has a [[WeaponOfMassDestruction WMD]] that he deliberately named "Gift", intended as a NonIndicativeName… unless you know of the other meaning of {{GIFT}} nowadays.

** When Bunglay becomes obsessed with wanting to break Yamato's connections and send him into "despair," it makes him sound a lot like a [[Series/KamenRiderWizard Phantom.]]

** The Eagle Zyuman's previous role (Masato Kusaka from ''Series/KamenRiderFaiz'') has caused him to be characterized as a person who sows discord in the fandom as well. And as of [[spoiler:#46]] it played off so damn well.

** Kubar's VillainousBreakdown in Episode 42. He has completely lost his mind after witnessing Genis' true power, his voice rings of unhinged and he's killing indiscriminately. All hoping it would appease Genis.
* SoOkayItsAverage: Some fans view this as such as though they felt that it was an improvement over ''Ninninger'', they felt that the villains for this season were bland and that some of the Zyuohgers unfortunately were overshadowed.

*** That's zigzagged. [[spoiler:It turns out that he's Jin from the original universe, except he permanently disappeared by the end of the Go-Busters series. He then explained that he's Tokumei Sentai's Gin from the V-Cinema, not Tokumei Sentai's Gin from the main series.]]

* WhatAnIdiot: Master Genis. Did he really think it was a good idea to create another ranger? Even more so, one that can easily overpower the Zyuohgers? [[GenreBlind Obviously he never realized that brainwashed rangers]] ''[[GenreBlind always]]'' [[GenreBlind backfire on the villain.]]
** Then there's allowing Bangray to run wild and not caring that he mentally screwed with one of his generals. All just because it makes his game more interesting.
** …but it's probably that he's more lax than stupid, he's doing this for fun so hey, if he loses a few pieces on the chess board, oh well.

** The fact that this show debuted a month before the US release of ''Disney/{{Zootopia}}'' is pure, furry-filled coincidence.

* CompleteMonster: [[BigBad Lord Ginis]], an alien with an InferioritySuperiorityComplex, despises being made of [[{{Mook}} Moebas]], beings he looks down upon. Creating the Deathgaliens, Ginis uses them to serve as his warriors in the "Blood Games"--wherein he challenges and destroys other worlds--currently having done so to [[OmnicidalManiac 99 planets]] and now targeting Earth. Creating an ever-collapsing barrier around planet Earth, Ginis plans to allow it to destroy the world unless the heroes managed to deactivate it. Although his barrier is stopped, Ginis sets up a destructive robot to continue his genocidal plans. [[ManipulativeBastard Cunning and manipulative]], Ginis tricks the friendless Misao Mondō into becoming his servant and hires a sadistic alien hunter to make his "game" of planetary destruction more interesting for himself. When one of his men betrays Ginis after finding he was responsible for the destruction of his home planet, Ginis defeats and spares him, before watching with amusement as the [[DrivenToMadness broken man]] insanely destroys everything in his path. After all but one of his followers are killed, Ginis decides to end the Blood Game by injecting his cells into the core of the Earth, wiping it out entirely. Incapable of loyalty or gratitude, when the Zyuohgers discover Ginis' body to be made of Moebas and reveal it to his last remaining follower and she declares her loyalty to him in spite of this, Ginis, cruel to the end, [[BadBoss kills her off]] for [[DontYouDarePityMe daring to pity him]].

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_Nk-IOM39I opening]] is a powerful (and [[EarWorm extremely catchy]]) mix of tribal beats and rock music that makes you excited for the show from beginning to end.

* EarWorm:
** The chorus of the ending's lyrics. The source is the puns for the animals.
** The opening as well, mainly for evoking a mid-80s vibe with sweet horn hooks.

** Ever since it was discovered that the SixthRanger's title was [=TheWorld=], ''Anime/JojosBizarreAdventure'' jokes were inevitable.

** There's something about the pettiness of his goals that make it worse. The game is purely for ''his entertainment.'' He's not like past or future villains with grander ambitions; he's not trying to destroy and remake the universe in his own image like Brajira or Don Armage, or have his species prosper at humanity's expense like the Gaiark. He's not going to gain immortality or omnipotence by sucking the life out of the Earth like Meador or Zahab. This is ''purely for his entertainment.'' You reading this right now, who were bored for a moment and decided to check out a TV Tropes page? When Genis feels exactly that way, ''he'' decides, "meh, I'm gonna go massacre a planet full of a few billion people for funsies." He's got no master plan, no grand design - ''that's really all there is to it.''

* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: As opposed to the more BrokenBase-ladden [[Series/TokumeiSentaiGoBusters prev]][[Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger ious]] [[Series/ResshaSentaiToQger sea]][[Series/ShurikenSentaiNinninger sons]], ''Zyuohger'' is surprisingly a lot more warmly received, hitting in the right spots at the earlier episodes.

* SuspiciouslySimilarSong: The music that plays during episode 40's TrainingMontage sounds almost ''exactly'' like "[[Music/{{Survivor}} Eye of the Tiger]]". Why this used this for Leo [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter and not Amu]] is mystery for the ages.

* AntiClimaxBoss: While [[spoiler:Genis gave the Zyuoghers a tough battle when he was normal size, when he enlarged himself, he went down within two minutes, possibly setting a record for fastest gigantic {{Final Battle}} in ''Franchise/SuperSentai'' history. * MostWonderfulSound: The singing that can be heard when the Rangers use their cubes for different functions.

* SpoiledByTheMerchandise: The fact that [=TheWorld=] is eventually going to be freed of his brainwashing and join the Zyuohgers is pretty much guaranteed, given that the promotion for the toys showed that Tousai Zyuoh will combine with Wild Zyuoh King for an even more powerful formation.
** As per every ''Super Sentai''/''Kamen Rider'' series, this counts for everything since the catalogs reveal the suits, mecha, etc. long before they appear in the show. Want to keep track of the series while watching and experiencing the suits and mecha for yourself? Yeah, good luck with that.

* {{Narm}}: Along with the singing, the voice made by the Zyuoh Changer can start to sound like [[TheMuppets Fozzie Bear]] when calling out the mecha combinations.

* MostAnnoyingSound: The singing that can be heard when the Rangers use their cubes for different functions can get grating ''really'' fast.
** MostWonderfulSound: As with most ''Franchise/SuperSentai'' or ''Franchise/KamenRider'' seasons, it can be this as well.

* IKnewIt: Most fans correctly guessed that [[spoiler:Bard]] would become [[EleventhHourRanger Zyuoh Bird]].

* HeReallyCanAct: Episode 35 ''really'' shows just how impressive of an actor Masaki Nakao (Yamato's actor) is, especially when it comes to portraying utter despair.

** Naria not having any backstory and [[spoiler:dying ''twice'' unceremoniously and ultimately was inconsequential to the plot.]]

* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel[=/=]WinBackTheCrowd: As opposed to the more BrokenBase-ladden [[Series/TokumeiSentaiGoBusters prev]][[Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger ious]] [[Series/ResshaSentaiToQger sea]][[Series/ShurikenSentaiNinninger sons]], ''Zyuohger'' is surprisingly a lot more warmly received, hitting in the right spots at the earlier episodes.

** Yamato has a tendency to be beaten up, be it physically or mentally, but near the end it was not uncommon for Yamato to somehow get beaten up badly enough to either draw blood or need a bandaid, even if his other teammates were just fine, almost every other episode. And if it wasn't that, he was experiencing some sort of serious trauma. This has lead to some jokes about how the make-up department or someone on the writing team must've had a fetish for seeing the actor in pain or bloodied up.
