* AnAesop:
** "Sand Palace" has the moral that sometimes everyone can use a little help, and friends are more important than winning competitions.
** The episode "Pinkalicious", which adapts the first ''Pinkalicious'' book, has the Aesop that too much of a good thing can be bad.
** "To Catch a Leaf" - "A wish doesn't have to be big or important to make you happy".
** In "Glitterizer", Pinkalicious glitterizes everything in sight, and everyone (including Kendra) likes it. When she glitterizes Rafael's painting, he doesn't like it. Pinkalicious tries to prove to him that his painting is good because Mr. Crunk and Mr. and Mrs. Plum like it. Even though they like it, he still doesn't. This shows that just because everyone likes something, it doesn't automatically mean it's good. The episode also teaches that not everyone is going to have the same opinions as you, and that's okay.
** The lesson is made more explicit in "A Birthday Party for Kendra," where we learn that Kendra doesn't have birthday parties, preferring a quiet game night with her parents. Pinkalicious and the others throw her a loud, colorful party anyway, making Kendra visibly uncomfortable, before giving her a party she actually likes by taking her preferences into account. Doing nice things for others means thinking about what they like, not about what you like.

The show premiered on TV on February 19, 2018. PBS Kids [[http://www.pbs.org/about/blogs/news/pbs-kids-offers-sneak-peek-of-its-first-series-dedicated-to-the-arts-and-creativity-pinkalicious-peterrific/ announced]] that before the show premieres, they will be releasing full 11-minute episodes of the show on their video app every Friday until February 9. PBS did a similar thing back in January 2016 with ''WesternAnimation/ReadyJetGo'', where they released several episodes online before the show's official premiere in February 2016. A sneak peek of ''Pinkalicious & Peterrific'' aired after the premiere of the ''Series/OddSquad'' TV movie ''World Turned Odd'' on January 15, 2018.

** TheChick: Jasmine. One of Pinkalicious' closest friends, and an expert recorder player.
** TheBigGuy: Rafael, since he doesn't seem to fit any of the other examples. He is the only male in the clique besides Peter, and he enjoys playing soccer.
** TagalongKid: Peter. He is the youngest of the clique, and loves to join Pinkalicious on her adventures.
** SixthRanger: Lila. She doesn't hang out with the group that often, but she is featured in the show's video game ''Pinkalicious Party'', and she does hang out with Pinkalicious in some episodes, such as "Slumber Party".
*** Frida, Rafael's younger sister, is the Sixth Ranger as well.

* AmazingTechnicolorWildlife: The duck family from "The Duck Stops Here" are pink.

** And in "Pinkapolka Dotty", when she calls the rest of the family one by one by their names, Mr. Pinkerton's name is revealed to be Harry.

* EekAMouse: Kendra has this sort of reaction in "Cha-Cha-Licious" when she finds gummy worms on her ice cream sundae.

The show follows Pinkalicious Pinkerton, a GirlyGirl with a love for all things pink, and her little brother Peter. Pinkalicious is an artist at heart who sees the world in a different way, finding creative inspiration everywhere she looks. She knows what she likes and she’s not afraid to express herself, though sometimes she needs help from her brother, Peter, and their neighborhood friends including the BlackBestFriend Jasmine, Rafael, and the PerkyGoth Kendra.

* BlackBestFriend: Jasmine, to Pinkalicious and Peter.

* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: In the original books, Pinkalicious had a BlackBestFriend named Molly. In the series, Pinkalicious has a friend named Jasmine who is basically a copy of Molly.

On October 19th 2019, it was announced that the show had been canceled.

Focusing on arts across all disciplines (including dance, theater, music, the visual arts, creative writing, media arts, and the culinary arts), here is what ''Pinkalicious & Peterrific'' aims to do:

* EverybodyLaughsEnding: This happens at the end of "The Opera-Matic".

* FamilyThemeNaming: The sweet pea pixies all have names beginning with the letter "P".H

* HereWeGoAgain: In the adaptation of the first ''Pinkalicious'' book, Pinkalicious eats too many pink cupcakes and turns pink. She eats green foods to make herself normal again. At the end of the episode, Peter eats a pink cupcake and ''he'' turns pink.

* HairDecorations: Frida, Rafael's younger sister, wears bows in her hair.
