** Episode 26 mostly consisted of a battle between the forces of the Inquisition that were sent to the warp in episode 18 and the daemons that were terrorized by them since then. Being as this actually followed the ''TabletopGame/{{Warhammer 40000}}'' rules and the Inquisition's forces were much smaller than those of Chaos (due to using Meatgrinder rules; the smaller army wins by lasting six turns). Their greatest losses came from infighting, and the greatest victories the Inquisition had was when their Taurox tanks survived an onslaught for a [[spoiler:very short]] while.

* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: In ''Special 7: Space Game Pains'', the Deceiver's MotiveRant is this trope on several levels: [[spoiler:Within the context of the [[VideoGame/{{Stellaris}} video game]] everyone is playing, he's sabotaging everyone else to stave off the late-game and prevent the [[FinalBoss crisis factions]] from tearing the galaxy a new one for his own benefit, which doubles as an apt description of his motives in the "real world" (to ensure that the C'tan/the necrophage can sustain themselves indefinitely). * SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Played for laughs. After [[spoiler:Magnus]] admits that people confusing the Thousand Sons for the Necrons is understandable given their similar design motifs, he says he sent the Necrons a cease and desist order. Cue the Necrons laughing their asses off at it.
** [[spoiler:Kaldor Draigo]]'s time in the Warp has made him a little...[[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} bonkers.]]
** Spending several millennia inside a cramped box isn't very good for one's motor functions, superhuman or not. Just ask [[spoiler:Corvus Corax.]]
** [[spoiler:A small Inquisition army, even one drunk on Fenrisian Ale and lead by a Primarch, is no match for the combined forces of all four Chaos Gods that are led by some of the mightiest and most infamous daemons, including Skarbrand and Kairos Fateweaver.]]
** [[spoiler:Even with the addition of the Fyordperor and more Inquisitiors joining them, they still surrendered to talk to Vect. Trying to kill your way though an enemy homeland, especially one that's the most fortified and [[AlienGeometries physics that only its inhabitents can traverse]] is a bad idea, as The Emperor points out.]]
** [[spoiler:Having several personalities in your head will lead to mental impairment no matter how strong-willed you are. Especially when they are all jockeying for control and have different ideas. As is proven by Bellisarius Cawl, and the countless A.I. copies he "controls" in his head.]]
** No matter how high-quality their work, the Salamanders' plan to pay off their debt with death masks would take at least fifty years. After all, battleships don't come cheap.
** The lower ranked members on the Bro Trip Crusade aren't certain that it's really being led by [[spoiler:the Primarchs Vulkan and Corvus Corax]]. After all, the Imperium is known for making ridiculous claims for propaganda, [[spoiler:the Primarchs been assumed dead for millennia]], they haven't made public appearances to most of the crew, and the ones who have seen them are insulated by the chain of command.
** The Fabulous Custodes Trio aside, Kitten is well respected by the Custodes. Captain-General is an elected position; he couldn't have earned the position if everyone treated him like dirt. And even Whammudes has gained an appreciation for him.

* PuzzlementAboutPayment: During the Q&A segment in the second episode of ''If the Emperor Had a Podcast'' sub-series, Karstodes is shown to not know what "pay" and "money" mean, believing them to be made-up words. That neither of his fellow Fabulous Custodes bother to say anything or even snicker in response strongly implies that this is true of them both as well, and possibly even the rest of the Custodian Guard.

** Kitten adopts a similar strategy to win in the ''VideoGame/{{Stellaris}}'' special, where he's the only player to survive to the end of the game with a thriving empire simply because he focused his attention on domestic development, diplomatic alliances, and ''not'' declaring pointless wars every five minutes.

** The Emperor suggests this to the Black Templars chapter master Helbrecht. As he points out, most mutants are still loyal citizens of the imperium, and covering up their "fuck-ugly faces" with a paper bag is a more effective method of hiding their mutation than simply murdering them on sight.

* SeriousBusiness: The Emperor and Rogal Dorn initiate a civil war over whether tacos should be eaten on Tuesday or Friday and view the idea of eating them on any day of ones choosing as akin to rape.

* SeriousBusiness: The Emperor and Rogal Dorn initiate a civil war over whether tacos should be eaten on Tuesday or Friday and view the idea of eating them on any day of ones choosing as akin to rape. When a Daemonic Prince is inadvertedly summoned onto the voxcast, the thing that finally convinces the Emperor to banish him back to the Warp is neither the literal capital-H-Heresy he preaches, nor his repeated rebukes of the Emperor's arguments, but the fact that he said Tacos ''weren't good enough to be worth fighting a war over.''

Unfortunately, their incompetence and bad luck results in Magnar getting killed in the same scene he's introduced, and Magnus neglected to give Magnar any [[OneUp Fate Points]] to prevent it. [[RulesLawyer The Grand Provost Marshall]] scolds Magnus for his lack of foresight, describing the trope.

* FirearmsAreCowardly: Played against the Tau. Kitten thoroughly marks his hatred for the Tau, but one of his biggest grievances is that he sees them as a cowardly race who only fires at their enemies with extreme firepower from afar, use other species as meat shields to fight in close quarters for them, and refuse to fight in melee themselves. Of all his grievances, this is the one that actually infuriates the Emperor.
