* TheFuture: Given [[Franchise/GunDam the]] [[Anime/CaptainHarlock install]][[Anime/CowboyBeBop ments]], pretty much a given. Though it's actually given a solid date here, specifically, it's noted that TokyoTower (which was built in 1984) was built 700 years ago, thus pinning the game some time in the late 2600s.

** In fact, when [[spoiler: Dyma mass produced the Tyranado as the Tyrando]], he had to [[spoiler: replace the pilot with AIs and launch the weapons from his fortress instead of Carriax]]. It's telling that so much alterations had to be made just for it to work as intended.

* RealityEnsues:
** Phobias do not go away instantly just because there was one event that made the scared one overcome it. [[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam Chibodee]] learned it the hard way when he ended up facing [[Anime/CowboyBebop Tongpu]] in an attempt to save [[Anime/MartianSuccessorNadesico Ruri]] and failed since his phobia against [[MonsterClown clowns]] still existed despite his victory against Jester Gundam in the past.
** After the 13th Gundam Fight nearly led to the entire world being consumed by DG Cells, the 14th is on the verge of cancellation, and many of the Fighters aren't taking it well.
** As funny and cute as it is, being superdeformed means that your short and stubby limbs won't be able to pilot your mech as [[Anime/MagicKnightRayearth Hikaru]] and [[Anime/{{Gunbuster}} Noriko]] learn the hard way.

** Due to [[AuthorExistenceFailure the death of his voice actor long before this game's announcement]], [[Anime/{{Gunbuster}} Captain Tashiro Tatsumi and the Excelion battleship]] are not present in this game.

* ColonyDrop: One happens early in the game where the heroes attempt to [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamZZ stop one of the colonies]] from dropping to Earth. And in the IF route (no colonies were dropped in the normal route), [[spoiler:[[Anime/GunXSword The Claw]] ends up being the one to drop Axis on Earth.]]

* InterfaceSpoiler: Having learned from their mistake from ''V'', the developers have made it so that profile of the original enemy and their units cannot be viewed during gameplay until their true identity is [[TheReveal revealed in the story]]... Unfortunately, they forgot to do the same for their entries in the library, which can be viewed immediately after their first appearances.

** The first split is the traditionnal Earth vs. Space split, where the RealRobot Gundams head to space and everyone else stays on Earth.

* NotSoDifferent: When he was dragged to Upper Earth along with the others at T3, Show/Marvel/Tod and Shion notes that despite their differences, they're effectively in the same predicament; that despite being natives of Upper Earth, 700 years had gone by so not only had everyone they known had long since passed away, but technology and culture had advanced so much that their world is now effectively alien to them. It is because of this that convinces Shion to stick with the other three to survive in Upper Earth.

** It may surprise you to see that for some reason, [[Manga/MagicKnightRayearth Zagato and Emeraude]] are familiar with the terms [[Anime/MazingerZInfinity Mazin or Mycenae]]. Way later near the end of the game, Dr. Hell revealed that [[spoiler:the Mycenae civilization used to invade Cephiro, but was repelled by Emeraude, Zagato and the Rune Gods. In retaliation, they created Mazinger Infinity based on the Rune Gods, since they believed that it could destroy the order of nature, in a similar way that the Rune Gods are the only beings capable of killing the Pillar that provided order and stability in Cephiro.]]

* SubordinateExcuse: [[Anime/CaptainHarlock Kei Yuuki]] knows that Harlcok will most likely never get over his [[TheLostLenore lost love]], however, that doesn't matter to her. So long as she can be near him, even if it's as a crewmate, she feels that though her loves is still requited. The girls of the VTX union are somewhat jealous of her for having such a resolve.

* PutOnABus: ''Terra'' marks one of the few console-based ''Super Robot Wars'' to exclude ''Anime/Daitarn3'', who has been with the franchise as far back as ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars3''. However, the "Invincible" trilogy is still represented in this game with ''Tryder G7''.

* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: Due to having OneeSama and CoolBigSis characters to look up to, [[Manga/MagicKnightRayearth Hikaru]] becomes less ObliviousToLove than her canon counterpart, and thus is able to understand and acknowledge her romantic love for Lantis, allowing her to recipocate and get in a relationship with him.

* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: Due to having OneeSama and CoolBigSis characters to look up to, [[Manga/MagicKnightRayearth Hikaru]] becomes less ObliviousToLove than her canon counterpart, and thus is more able to understand and acknowledge her romantic love for Lantis, allowing her to recipocate and get in a relationship with him.

* SecretCharacter: Most of the secrets involve having the characters join earlier than usual, such as [[spoiler:Master Asia]]. Additionally, most of the secrets are majorly UC Gundam characters, with some exceptions like [[spoiler:Black Might Gaine, which took cues from how it was like in ''V'', if you do not reach the secret level involving him, he's LostForever]].

* InstantAwesomeJustAddDragons: There is a collection of units having dragon motifs or a ThemeNaming based around them - [[Anime/GaoGaiGar ChoRyuJin and GekiRyuJin]], [[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam Dragon Gundam]], [[Manga/MagicKnightRayearth Selece/Celes]] and [[Manga/GetterRobo Shin Getter Dragon]] for the heroes and [[Anime/TheBraveExpressMightGaine the Joint Dragon Fire]] attack also returns from ''X''; on the villain's side, there's the [[Anime/AuraBattlerDunbine Zwauth]] and [[Anime/GunXSword Drakuls, the dragon-shaped Armors]] serving as occasional {{Mook}}s.

* MidSeasonUpgrade: The Tyranado later gets upgraded into the Tyranado Rex. Despite its name, no [[TyrannosaurusRex certain famous gigantic dinosaur]] was involved, nor puns about it. [[NonIndicativeName In fact]], it remains a medium-sized Real Robot instead of becoming a huge Super Robot.

* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: Played with - the Magic Knights are nude during the Flashing Sword attack, but is a case of BarbieDollAnatomy. Compare this to a PantyShot of [[VisualNovel/{{Demonbane}} Ruri Hadou]] during the Lemuria Impact animation in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsUX'' and ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsXOmega'' with its FanserviceCostumes for characters like [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsXOmega Qun Inye]] (in PrettyInMink and StockingFiller) or [[Manga/ShinMazingerZero Sayaka Yumi]] (DressedLikeADominatrix), who may have pieces of clothing but leave [[{{Stripperific}} little to the imagination]].

* OneSteveLimit: There are in fact, two Hikarus in this game, [[MartianSuccessorNadesico Amano]] and [[MagicKnightRayearth Shidou]].

''T'' brings the ''Getter Robo'' and ''Nadesico'' series back after their absence from ''X'', as well as ''G Gundam'' post-''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOE'' (its last console appearance was ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsNEO''), and includes the first voiced and console appearance of ''Gun X Sword'' since its first appearance in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsK''. While ''K'' had only two entries from before The2000s, ''T'' has two made [[Anime/GunXSword during]] and [[Anime/ExpelledFromParadise after]] it (barring entries that are {{Sequel}}s to works from earlier periods). The progress of mankind came to halt, and the spirits of people were filled with despair. In the midst of this stagnation, a group known as VTX Union made its name and tried to survive the harsh age, while hoping to ensure that mankind can resume its advance. This is where our story began, from the point of view of two particular {{Salaryman}} of the VTX Union with differing personalities: The by-the-book professional Saizo Tokitou, and the carefree, easygoing Sagiri Sakurai... along with the company's newest product, the mecha Tyranado, and according to the NewMeat Rami Amasaki, there's more than meets the eye about this product...

** While ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack'' is not a PostScriptSeason, it still cuts down the roster into just Amuro, Bright, Char, Quess and Gyunei. Other characters, in particular Hathaway Noa and Chan Agi, do not appear.[[note]]Chan being AdaptedOut makes sense since she was supposed to replace Beltorchika in the movie, but the novel, which is featured in the game, restored Beltorchika's place. However, Hathaway is present in both media, and he's still not in the game while Quess is. This may give the implication that if Hathaway existed (Bright is confirmed to have started a family) but merely not mentioned in-game, then he is by proxy SparedByAdaptation, since the death of Quess in both continuities is one of the catalysts of [[Literature/MobileSuitGundamHathawaysFlash him becoming Mufti Navilles Erin and then dying.]][[/note]]

* BolivianArmyEnding: [[spoiler:[[Anime/CowboyBebop Spike]] missed out the farewell party to those departing from the Solar System because he had to confront Vicious and the Red Dragons solo one last time, just like the finale of his own show. Faye has faith that he won't die from it, but the game makes it even more ambiguous, since we're not even given [[SignatureScene the iconic "Bang" scene]]. Fortunately it's revealed that he survived according to the ''Expansion Pack'' but all of it ends up being an OffscreenMomentOfAwesome instead.]]

** Following the Gryps War, Char was killed and Amuro debated whether or not to take up his cause of uniting humanity and purging the Federation of it's corruption, but ultimately could not do it and despite numerous attempts at pursuading him, decided to live his life in seclusion.
