** In the early days of the fandom, a theory regarding Rainbow's family was that her mother was the G4 version of Firefly from the original G1 series in both name and design. This episode debunks that.
** Back in [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS3E12GamesPoniesPlay "Games Ponies Play"]], Rainbow Dash's flashback to her childhood showed her with a stallion of a very similar color scheme. This same stallion--never named in-show, but called Rainbow Blaze in merchandise--also had a cameo in [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS6E8AHearthsWarmingTail "A Hearth's Warming Tail"]]. A lot of fans speculated that Blaze was Dash's dad, or her cool older brother. This episode proves he ''definitely'' isn't her dad, and if he's her brother he's conspicuously absent--it seems most likely that Blaze is Dash's uncle or cousin.

Leaks anon't allowed unless validated by a reputable source.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: An early leaked script ended with, instead of Rainbow Dash [[RageBreakingPoint flipping out]] at her parents, lying to them that their disruptive cheering was disrupting the Wonderbolts so much she was in risk of getting fired, and they should tone it down a bit. Understandably, the thought of their actions ruining their daughter's dreams upsets Bow and Windy immensely, and they promise to not embarrass Rainbow Dash anymore. The rest of the episode was to play out more or less the same, but with Scootaloo's exposition about her parents being much less dramatic, and the private show being to make up for lying to RD's parents, instead of screaming at them, and it being proclaimed [[IronicEcho "kind of embarrasing"]] by the pair. However, Hasbro [[ExecutiveMeddling demanded a re-write]], which ended up with the released episode.

An animated series writer has written for other animated series? Then that's not He Also Did. He Also Did is for something that's radically different to a creator or performer's more famous work.

[[ZigZaggedTrope That]] or this pony ''is'' Rainbow Blaze, it's just that time ''definitely'' took its toll on him. Similarly, said flashback seemed to imply Rainbow's mom [[MissingMom was no longer in the picture, for one reason or another.]] Not so here.
*** Easily justified on both counts. It's not uncommon for one parent to take their child to an event. Windy was probably just busy that day. Also, since that event was about 20 years earlier, it's very likely that Bow IS "Rainbow Blaze". Young vs middle age can definitely change appearance that much. Very few people look the same in their 40's as they did in their 20's. It's just a combination of age and AnimationBump.
