Going to comment out instead for now, as the idea of a minor change having major consequences outside of time travel is not a valid trope yet. Once a trope like this is launched, it can be changed to the new title.

* ButterflyOfDoom: On a whim, Emile attacks Jon to potentially die and get out of Overlord Rico's castle. He does (after a fashion), but picking this fight and losing the Underworld Staff upon death left Emile at a standstill for nearly the entire time before [[spoiler: Jon killed Rico in the Underworld and ended the game]]. He couldn't progress the story due to not having a weapon, so he went to buy a weapon, but the weapons near him were too weak, so he went across the board to later continents with better shops, but a random event robbed him of his cash and left him unable to purchase anything, so he tried to rob the store, but lost, and lost, and lost...

For Want of a Nail has been disambiguated per TRS. The more concise trope here would be Butterfly Of Doom.
