* DamnYouMuscleMemory: Considering the interface is very similar to Vocaloid, with some minor to major differences, this is bound to happen. Of course, this trope works both ways is you used Utauloid long before Vocaloid.

* DoItYourselfThemeTune: Naturally, considering making an Utauloid based on the users voice is the first thing most people do upon getting the program. Depending on several things such as editing skill, microphone quality, and general voice tone, results can range from drunken karaoke to ''ear meltingly amazing''.

Regardless, if you want to make an Utauloid that sounds even halfway decent, as well as make it sing well, hope you have a couple hundreds of dollars to spend on the necessary high quality microphone, vocal editing software, and possibly even music synthesizing software if you want to make music from scratch.

* SturgeonsLaw: A given, considering it's the freeware equivalent of Vocaloid, and thus far more accessible to producers of varying skill levels. Some songs can be exactly what you'd expect, but there are also quite a few that manage to put professional Vocaloid songs to shame, with some covers even out doing the original!

* SturgeonsLaw: A given, considering it's the freeware equivalent of Vocaloid, and thus far more accessible to producers of varying skill levels. (In addition to the fact many think only the Utauloid program is needed to make great music when, in reality, it takes many different vocal editing programs just like Vocaloid to make it sound amazing, even with really well put together voicebanks.) Some songs can be exactly what you'd expect, but there are also quite a few that manage to put professional Vocaloid songs to shame, with some covers even out doing the original!

* NotQuiteStarring: There are quite a few voicebanks based off of characters from different series floating around on the net, either through using samples from the show / game / music or a [[TheOtherDarrin person replicating the voice.]] Keep in mind though, while (generally) there's no rule against this, distributing said voicebanks can get you in series hot water with the show creator, and possibly the creator of the Utauloid program as well.

Keep in mind, the voicebank quality also depends on what mic is used to record it and how much editing is put into it. Some Utauloids can sound like glorified speak and spells, while others can sound more realistic than Vocaloids, or even actual human singers!

* SurprisinglyGoodForeignLanguage: While the program was originally made for Japanese vocals, it's not impossible to make voicebanks of other languages in it if you know what you're doing and a good deal about the language in question's phonetic structure. Notably, in addition to Japanese, there are quite a few banks out there that support SurprisinglyGoodEnglish as well as SurprisinglyGoodSpanish.

I hope no one minds me adding this. I know this recording style is still rather new and unknown, but it is fairly popular on most Utauloid Forums so I felt like I should add it.

Near the end of 2009, Ameya created a special voicebank recording style first known as renzokuon, or "continuous sound", also widely called VCV (vowel-consonant-vowel). This allowed UTAU voicebanks to sound much smoother and more human than before. A Mac version of UTAU, known as UTAU-Synth, has now been released, and a mobile version of the software is in the works.

This allowed UTAU voicebanks to sound much smoother and more human than before. As of recent years, another new recording style, CV-VC (consonant-vowel-vowel-consonant) has became rather popular due to allowing one to create voicebanks for different languages other than Japanese. (Like, for example, english) A Mac version of UTAU, known as UTAU-Synth, has now been released, and a mobile version of the software is in the works.

UTAU ([[IThoughtItMeant not to be confused]] with the ''ShugoChara'' character) is a musical voice synthesis program created by Ameya as a freeware response to {{Vocaloid}}. Using UTAU is much like using Vocaloid, however there are some differences in usage (which may lead to DamnYouMuscleMemory). Also, UTAU has the feature of importing vocal samples manually, which allows a person to use their own voice in UTAU.

-->As some of you will remember from the original Grimm fairytale, the poison did not actually kill Snow White, it simply incapacitated her. In a way, she was in a coma for years until her prince found her. So, my concept was, what if she was conscious during that whole time, locked inside a glass coffin with no way to speak, or move, with only her thoughts as company. Thus this song was born.
