* ''VideoGame/TheSims2'' introduces twin teenage sisters Angela and Lilith Pleasant. Angela is a well-behaved ace student beloved by her parents, while Lilith is a rebellious teenager and [[TheUnfavorite]] of the family. They have a comeback in ''VideoGame/TheSims4'', this time as young adults going through college.

* ''Series/ConversationsWithFriends'': Frances is more shy, reserved and vulnerable. Her best friend/former lover Bobbi is bold, confident and very outspoken. Frances complains how they clash at times, with Bobbi thinking that she's repressed as her emotional life isn't as strong and open, while judging things too much for her tastes. It's a pretty interestring portrayal of an introvert and extrovert being friends, who have realistic difficulties given that. However, even so Frances movingly tells Bobbi that she's the center of her world.

* In ''VideoGame/{{Splatoon}}'', there is Callie (Dark) and Marie (Light). Callie is the black and pink Inkling who acts confident and short-tempered. Marie is the white and green Inkling who acts sensitive and level-headed.
* Played with Off the Hook in ''VideoGame/Splatoon2''. Pearl is short, cute, and has light colors, but is often short-tempered and imperious(but is also a lot nicer off-camera). By contrast, Marine is tall, sexy, and an Octoling weapons engineer, but is also a very caring young woman who happens to be a {{Shoujo}} artist.

* In the ''Fanfic/InfinityTrainBlossomverse'', we have Chloe Cerise and Amelia Hughes. Chloe is the young GenkiGirl who wears white and has bundles of enthusiasm towards the stuff on the Train (Light Feminine) while Amelia is the older, stoic and a DefrostingIceQueen while wearing a grey suit (Dark Feminine). ''Fanfic/InfinityTrainSeekerOfCrocus'' plays with this since while they still play off their Light/Dark dynamic, Chloe's final outfit for Act 1 is completely in black and her love of demons is more pronounced while Amelia has a lighter side by showing that she has a tendency for corny puns and is lightening up more.

* ''Film/SweetSweetLonelyGirl'': Adele starts out as very sweet and naïve. Her friend and later romantic interest Beth is rebellious and wordly.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouse'': Among the two eldest Loud sisters, Leni Loud is the KindheartedSimpleton Light Feminine, and Lori Loud is the GrumpyBear BigSisterBully Dark Feminine.

* The two halves of off-beat duo Garfunkel and Oates are this trope: Creator/KateMicucci (dark, Italian-American) and Rikki Lindhome (blonde, Swedish-American).

This dynamic is on full display whenever they interact; Rosaria wants nothing to do with Barbara, but Barbara still treats her with the same level of kindness that she shows to everyone else.

* Kanae and Marilyn Sue from ''VideoGame/AkatsukiBlitzkampf''. Light Feminine Kanae is a serious, dedicated, and aloof ActionGirl from the Japanese Army, who keeps her hair short and wears a form-fitting but mostly practical uniform as she [[GlacierWaif grapples and tosses around]] her way into the plot; Dark Feminine Marilyn Sue is a [[GainaXing bouncy]] DarkActionGirl in an even more form-fitting {{qipao}}, who fights like a LadyOfWar and relies quite a bit in her sex appeal to [[ObfuscatingStupidity take her rivals off-guard]].
