When Robbie was punished by Earl into waxing the floors for an argument about neglecting house duties, Ethyl informed Robbie there is a legal way to physically fight back against his father and take control of the house.

* Dracula becomes one in ''WesternAnimation/HotelTransylvania2'' after his grandson, Dennis, is born. He likes to call him "Denisovich" despite his human grandparents' protest and he tries to help bring out Dennis's vampire powers.

[[spoiler: The Diamonds were in a very bad DysfunctionJunction when it came to Steven's mother Pink Diamond where they were severely emotionally abusive to her because she didn't conform to the FantasticCasteSystem that governed Homeworld, which eventually led her to FakingTheDead and starting a new life as Rose Quartz. Despite said abuse they genuinely loved Pink Diamond and were heartbroken by losing her. Steven was able to bring about a HeelFaceTurn and CharacterDevelopment in the Diamonds so they can now show their love in a genuinely healthy manner and the fact that he's Pink's son means they've latched on to him emotionally.]]

Katara was happy to see them too, smiling enthusiastically when they were talking to her. She is also this to Korra, having overseen her training for her entire life and understanding what she really needs (even if she is her late husband reincarnated).

An episode of the animated series even revealed she's something of a GenerationXerox to him.

* In ''Anime/DragonBallGT'' Goku is very close to his granddaughter Pan who is more mature than him, [[spoiler:even before Goku was transformed into a child by Shenron.]] Indeed he [[WhatAnIdiot subscribed her in the Martial arts tournament]] at the end of ''Anime/DragonBallZ'' when she was only 5 years old. That being said, she wanted to fight and he personally trained her. Aside from that, Goku clearly adores her and has been shown indulging in her whims. There is even a cute montage of them having fun together with tournament festivities.
