* BaitAndSwitch: The first shot of the movie features Turkish and Tommy sitting spotlighted in a dark office, in front of an unidentified but intimidating looking man, with the implication that they've been arrested and brought before the police or a powerful underworld figure to explain themselves regarding events that happened. [[spoiler: They're actually in Doug The Head's office, having found the diamond that was the cause of most of the trouble in the movie.]]

* TitleDrop: The film's title only appears once throughout the entire movie, where Vinny tells the dog, "Don't Snatch!" as it takes the squeaky toy. It is said to the dog because it's the dog who eats the diamond.

* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: From his introduction, Mickey at first appears to be nothing more than a fast-talking, arrogant swindler whose boxing challenge to the much larger George appears to be a ForegoneConclusion. However, once he decides to playing around with letting George beat on him, he knocks him out with one punch.

* InformedAttribute: For some reason, Solomon is convinced Tyrone is an excellent wheelman. He is not only all of 500 lbs.--as shown in the hysterical bit of him trying to get out of the stolen car at the gas station--but he can't parallel park in a space that could fit at least three cars, and instead reverses and crashes into the van that just so happens to contain Franky Four Fingers, which knocks him out and inadvertently causes the screwup when Sol and Vince go to rob the bookies. Lampshaded amazingly by Vince.

* BoomHeadshot: After Vinnie [[HeKnowsTooMuch reveals Boris' name in the presence of Franky Four Fingers]], the Uzbek promptly shoots Franky in this manner. This is also how [[spoiler: Boris himself, Brick Top and possibly Bullet Tooth Tony]] all meet their ends, though in the last one's case it's ambiguous if his head was where he was shot, [[RecklessGunUseage and it was also an accident on the shooter's part]].

* BoomHeadshot: After Vinnie [[HeKnowsTooMuch reveals Boris' name in the presence of Franky Four Fingers]], the Uzbek promptly shoots Franky in this manner. * CollectiveDeathGlare: When Turkish approaches Mickey about participating in a fight for Brick Top after Mickey has already failed to go along with the first attempt, Mickey demands a caravan for his mom as payment. Turkish is so shocked by the sheer gall of Mickey (since Turkish and Tommy are lucky to be alive after Mickey didn't go through with the first fight, have already been cheated out of a caravan by Mickey, ''and'' can't afford to buy a caravan because Brick Top took Turkish's savings as punishment after Mickey didn't go down as planned in the first fix) that Turkish starts to go on an angry rant and insults Mickey's mom along the way. This earns him an angry glare from Mickey and all his friends there, causing Turkish to hastily do a VerbalBackspace.

Mickey, being a [[RoguishRomani sneaky]], [[ManipulativeBastard manipulative]] [[HonestJohnsDealership businessman]], immediately tries establishing his own terms and conditions for entering the fight: namely, in return, he wants a nice blue caravan [[EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas for his mother]]. Turkish is [[YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe incredulous]] that Mickey has the cheek to be asking ''them'' for a caravan, seeing as ''he's'' the reason they're in trouble with Brick Top in the first place,[[labelnote:*]] He ''sold'' Tommy a [[TheAllegedCar dodgy caravan]] whose wheels fell off before he could even leave the campsite, then [[DoYouWantToHaggle offered to settle things]] by fighting Gorgeous George, the boxer originally slated to compete in Brick Top's fight. [[CurbStompBattle Mickey knocked George out in one punch]]. [[/labelnote]] and starts calling him out for it.

* DumbassHasAPoint: ''Tyrone'' is the one who shows Sol and Vince that the bookie's door opens inwards. Immediately after that, he spots Frankie Four Fingers stumbling out of the van and completes their initial objective by punching him out and stuffing him in the car with the rest of the gang.
** Additionally, Sol and Vinnie. Sol, for all his mistakes, is correct in warning Vinnie that his massive shotgun is impractical for a simple robbery, and Vinnie points out the flaws in hiring [[FatIdiot Tyrone]] as their getaway driver, and testing their replica handguns inside a car, so that they end up getting deafened.
** Errol cautiously advises Brick Top to kill Turkish and the Pawn Shop boys in separate occasions. Both times he is chided, although neither let-off directly leads to Brick Top getting killed.

* GreaterScopeVillain: After Mickey refuses to throw the first fight, Brick Top is seen talking to a pair of men -- Jack The All Seeing Eye and Salt Peter, high-level London gangsters who "make Brick Top look like a skirt-clinging thumb-sucker". As ruthless, violent, and terrifying Brick Top is, he was clearly uneasy about them being angry with him, and quickly began apologizing to them and promising that he would make it up to them. Considering that Brick Top has no compunctions against ordering murders in front of witnesses, one can only shudder to think how awful someone must be to make Brick Top uneasy around them.

* DumberThanTheyLook: Avi ''acts'' and dresses a lot smarter than his clueless partner Doug the Head--knowing that letting his friend Frankie Four Fingers [[TheGamblingAddict gamble]] is a bad idea--but when it comes to actual criminal work, [[StupidCrooks he doesn't have a clue what he's doing]]. He actually has to [[AskAStupidQuestion ask]] where [[RuthlessForeignGangsters Boris]] the [[TheRedBaron Bullet Dodger]] got [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin his name from]], addresses Boris as a Russian repeatedly, [[MistakenNationality despite people telling him that Boris is from Uzbekistan]], and once a dog eats the expensive diamond he's after, he starts [[RecklessGunUsage firing a gun furiously in every direction without looking at where he's shooting]], [[spoiler:which leads to him [[IJustShotMarvinInTheFace shooting Tony by accident]].]] And then there's this lovely exchange between him and [[PsychoForHire Bullet Tooth Tony]]:

* DarkSkinnedBlonde: Lincoln, a Yardie with dyed blonde hair.

* RareGuns:
** Bullet-Tooth Tony and his "Desert Eagle ''point five-oh''", of course. Justified in that he is clearly not and never has been a military man, and so likely selected that gun because it fired huge rounds and looked cool. It is useful for getting people to back down should the need arise.
** Vincent and Sol use a shortened version of the Franchi SPAS-12.

* FromBadToWorse: As Turkish can attest to, Brick Top is ''not'' someone you want to be indebted to. When the bare-knuckle boxing fight goes horribly wrong, it puts them on thin ice with the crime boss for the remainder of the film.

* DiagonalCut: An accidental example involving a [[{{BFS}} huge knife]] and a car crash.

* FromBadToWorse: As Turkish can attest to, Brick Top is ''not'' someone you want to be in debt to. When the bare-knuckle boxing fight goes horribly wrong, it puts them on thin ice with the crime boss for the remainder of the film.

* TheUnintelligible: Mikey O'Neil speaks with such a thick "Pikey" accent that outsiders have difficulty understanding him. His subtitles occasionally revert to "??????"

* KnifeNut: Seems to be a thing among criminals. Boris is known as "Boris the Blade" and carries what is apparently a butcher's knife on him. Rosebud later produces a chef's knife. Tony dismisses that, telling him to use his "proper knife" which is...a cavalry sword.

** Although you'd have expected a true chessmaster [[spoiler: to keep his mother from becoming Kentucky Fried Pikey.]]

* DramaticAmmoDepletion: Tony empties an entire clip from his Desert Eagle into Boris to finally put him down. He's about to kill the wounded Tyrone, but his gun is empty.

* DodgeTheBullet: Boris The Bullet Dodger seems to have a talent for making bullets miss him. In Boris' death scene, Tony has to use every bullet from a Desert Eagle clip before he manages to hit Boris, and that only works because he aims very carefully with the last shot. The .50AE Desert Eagle's absolutely hellacious recoil probably wasn't doing Tony's marksmanship any favours though.

* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: Rosebud manages (apparently with some slight help from Avi and Tony) to subdue Boris. He's heavily injured and bleeding profusely afterward, but he beat Boris.

* BaldBlackLeaderGuy: Inverted for the Pawn Shop guys. They're all black, but defacto leader Sol is the only one with hair.
