** Lupin's interactions with Kirei during the War caused the priest to realize that despite his fears, he truly does love his daughter Caren. As such, once the War has ended, he ends up taking her back under his care; this results in the two having a much healthier relationship by the end of the story, as opposed to the passive-aggressive antagonism they shared in canon.

* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul:
** As a result of Lupin stealing some of Gilgamesh's treasures during their first encounter, the King of Heroes wants to murder both the Assassin and his Master, ensuring that he and Kirei will never develop the friendship they gained in canon.
** Thanks to Lupin saving her from Zouken, Sakura is eventually adopted by Risei Kotomine; in canon, the two of them never even met, much less knew the other existed.

* AdaptationalDumbass: Tokiomi's pride and arrogance forces him to undergo this. Because he believes he still has everything under control (even when it becomes increasingly clear that Lupin's actions are making things spiral out of his control), he leaves himself open to being taken down and humiliated by the master thief. He even frequently disregards Risei's well-thought out advice, and is unable to tell a convincing lie when Zenigata interviews him a second time as to why he gave Sakura up for adoption.
* AdaptationalHeroism: Of a sort. Thanks to Lupin's actions setting off a domino effect, Kirei doesn't end up developing the same way he did in canon. As a result, while he comes to accept the fact that he is twisted and feels pleasure from the suffering of others, Lupin is able to convince him to focus that side of him in a way that allows him to be a moral person while staying true to himself: in this case, Lupin convinces Kirei to join him in being a master thief, stealing from those who deserve it (and allowing Kirei to take pleasure in the suffering of such people). This is cemented in the aftermath of the Fuyuki fire after the Greater Grail is destroyed; he notes that if it wasn't for Lupin allowing him to appreciate "finer tastes", he would've found joy in such destruction.
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: As the epilogue shows, Shinji becomes this. Thanks to Zouken's death and his father's arrest, he never grew up under his abusive grandfather's tutelage, and never abused Sakura as a result. He thus becomes a more well-adjusted individual with no ties to the world of Magecraft, lacking the ego his canon self had.

* AnArmAndALeg: loses his left arm when protecting Taiga from a bullet that fired that was meant for him.
* AnachronismStew: During Kiritsugu's flashback , it is mentioned that he and Natalia have two Jericho 941 handguns and a Calico M950 among their weaponry for the job. These two weapons were not available during the time the flashback takes place (1976).

* HesBack: At the start of the story, Zenigata has since retired from Interpol and lamenting that he wish he had caught Lupin when he was still alive. All it takes is for a news report to come on about Lupin's heist notice that he instantly changes into his old attire on and runs into the street with his old strength, screaming Lupin's name.

* ImpossibleThief: Lupin is already this in canon, but as a Servant it's brought UpToEleven. Why? He can steal Noble Phantasms, including Archer's, which would normally be impossible due to his power to recall them at will (the theft blocks this power).

:::She's not wrong about the cosplayers, but from VisualNovel/FateStayNight we know that this wording describes Saber's motivation for winning the Holy Grail pretty well. She wants to use the Holy Grail to erase her rule as KingArthur by choosing not to pull the sword from the stone, ignoring all the good she did as king and trying to become someone else.

Please do not add multiple tropes with a slash, as per the How To Write An Example guidelines.

* DarkReprise[=/=]SoundtrackDissonance: TIM gives every major scene a song from Lupin III. During a flashback episode with a chase between Lupin and Kiritsugu TIM says that Kiritsugu's theme is a song called Super Hero, which becomes this if you compare Kiritsugu's and Lupin's view points. The song basically boils down to a "Lupin is Cool" song with lines like "Scream for me, a romantic modern hero" and "Everyone wishes they could be like me." It fits Lupin perfectly as he effortlessly outfoxes two of the world's greatest assassins while saving an innocent life, but from Kiritsugu's angle it becomes a Sarcastic Echo as the lyrics mock him by basically being what he wants a Hero of Justice to be, and in a way, what he wants to be, all while basically saying that a common thief is a better superhero than he is. The song really becomes rather sad if you listen to it and make it Kiritsugu's theme instead of Lupin's.
