The falcon Faunus daughter of [[Characters/WelcomeToBeaconUltimateTeamTANG Stormer Aurion]] and Chiharu Yamamoto, Iris is a shy, introverted 17 year old who loves to compose techno music. Bullied when she was younger for being a Faunus, she became cowardly, gained a crippling lack of self-confidence, and became unwilling to make friends with her peers out of fear of being mocked again.
However, inspired by her father's heroism and bravery as a Huntsman, she decided she wanted to become a Huntress to defend the kingdoms just like her ancestors before her. Fresh out of Signal Academy, she enrolled in Beacon to become stronger and braver, and to honor her family's heritage and [[WellDoneSonGuy make her parents proud of her]]. She's partnered with Morgan Krigsvart, who she considers to be the nicest person she's seen outside of her family in a long time.

Born into a family of nobles, Dia was a cheerful girl who led a sheltered lifestyle, and was a frequent target of kidnappers. Her crystal-generating semblance manifested at an early age, and this made her sought after by various criminals. Throughout her life, many kidnappings had broke her. No longer was she the happy girl she used to be, but a rather cold natured teenager who chose to hide her feelings and trauma. Furthermore, it made her rather prideful and bossy towards close ones- in reality, she wants to hide the feeling of weakness/helplessness that she had.
However, these incidents also inspired Dia to become a Hunter- to protect herself, as well as to protect others from suffering her fate. After learning about what the hunters could do, as well as their awesome weapons, Dia got her parents' consent and money to get parts for her weapon made and to hire a Hunter to train her in private. Under his special training, she learned how to use her Semblance for combat purposes- the very same Semblance that got her kidnapped would now be used to protect her.
A few years later, Dia enrolled in Beacon Academy- to learn how to be a Hunter, to move out of her sheltered world, and to find friends/partners who can protect her. She may appear to be a polite lady on the outside, but on the inside... she has ''many'' insecurities about herself and others.

* AbsurdlySharpBlade: Dia can make her crystals extremely sharp, enough to cut through most Grimm armour.
* ArmorPiercingAttack: Quite a number of her crystals are sharp and tough enough to pierce Grimm armor. The downside is that it costs her own Aura to use.
* BeneathTheMask: To most, Dia presents herself as a polite and very stoic, calm individual who rarely shows strong emotion. Deep down, she's very insecure about herself, easily excited, and feels quite a good bit of emotional distress.
* BerserkButton: Do not talk about kidnapping in front of her. She'll most likely get pissed towards the kidnap perpetrator and wish the perpetrator were dead. In extreme instances she may even try to kill the perpetrator herself.
* BladeOnAStick: Dia can provide a spear or a halberd blade for it.
* BoomStick: In Staff form, each end can fire out dust-based projectiles. Great for shooting spearheads into distant Grimm.
* ConspiracyTheorist: Tends to think that somebody among the students may be out to kidnap her. It's the reason why she's noting down everybody's Semblances and weapons- in the event that one ''does'' attempt to kidnap her, she would know how to get out of it.
* DarkSecret: There's one secret of hers that Dia would never mention to anybody in Beacon[[labelnote:*]]She has blood on her hands after following her mentor's instruction to slaughter the mastermind behind some of her kidnapping in cold blood, and she got away scot-free after turning said villain's head into a bloody mess.[[/labelnote]].

* GemstoneAssault: Dia's Semblance, Crystal Clear. It generates crystals from her own Aura, and she can use them for a huge variety of purposes.
* GildedCage: Has been living a very shut-in life thanks to her parents' concern for her safety. Due to this, she's not very familiar about the outside world.

She can move around any crystals created by her for no Aura cost, '''''unless''''' she has to use her crystals to move objects that aren't her crystals (e.g. herself, or Corona's Chakram form), in which case the amount of Aura to do so needed increases depending on the mass of the object moved. This allows her to do a variety of tricks, like allowing her weapon to home in on enemies, use floating crystals to guard, or even do a super jump via moving the crystals on her boots and legs. Furthermore, she needs some extent of concentration to do this, and cannot control too many at one go.

* RichBitch: To an extent. While she is kind towards strangers, she tends to become colder, prideful and bossy towards those she knows by exerting her status as a noble, as she is afraid that they'll see her as weak, hence putting up a front to hide it.
* RichInDollarsPoorInSense: Thanks to having lived a shut-in noble life, she struggles to do certain things that commoners would be good at. Like cooking, bargaining, evacuation tactics for example.
* RingsOfDeath: The Chakram form. While blunt edged, Dia provides crystal blades to give it a cutting edge.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: The Gun form. It can fire Dust projectiles as well as crystal bullets for an ArmorPiercingAttack.
* SimpleStaff: It can be made into a staff form.
* SlasherSmile: She sports one when she's going about killing Grimm... or evildoer humans.
* SlaveToPR: Dia is ''very'' particular about how the others see her. She does not want others to see her as weak.

An 18-year old delinquent from downtown Vale. In a moment of [[ItAmusedMe poor impulse control]], he stole an SDC truck and took it for a joyride. However, his fun turned into tragedy when it tipped over in a turn and got a Good Samaritan hospitalized.
That do-gooder also happened to be the test pilot of a government program that would revolutionize Hunter performance. Suffice to say, they weren't happy.
So they approached Gage with a choice; take the weapon and the candidate's place in Beacon or they would press charges and Merrick Gage would never see the light of day as a free man for a long time.
Not much of a choice, but he always was a believer in karma. A week or so later would see him on an Airbus to Beacon and his new calling. Whether or not he'd make the grade? Well, that's all on him.

Born into a family of nobles, Dia was a cheerful girl who led a sheltered lifestyle, and was a frequent target of kidnappers. Her crystal-generating semblance manifested at an early age, and this made her sought after by various criminals. Throughout her life, many kidnappings had broke her. No longer was she the happy girl she used to be, but a rather cold natured teenager who chose to hide her feelings and trauma. Furthermore, it made her rather prideful and bossy towards close ones- in reality, she wants to hide the feeling of weakness/helplessness that she had.
However, these incidents also inspired Dia to become a Hunter- to protect herself, as well as to protect others from suffering her fate. After learning about what the hunters could do, as well as their awesome weapons, Dia got her parents' consent and money to get parts for her weapon made and to hire a Hunter to train her in private. Under his special training, she learned how to use her Semblance for combat purposes- the very same Semblance that got her kidnapped would now be used to protect her.
A few years later, Dia enrolled in Beacon Academy- to learn how to be a Hunter, to move out of her sheltered world, and to find friends/partners who can protect her. She may appear to be a polite lady on the outside, but on the inside... she has ''many'' insecurities about herself and others.

* AbsurdlySharpBlade: Dia can make her crystals extremely sharp, enough to cut through most Grimm armour.
* ArmorPiercingAttack: Quite a number of her crystals are sharp and tough enough to pierce Grimm armor. The downside is that it costs her own Aura to use.
* BeneathTheMask: To most, Dia presents herself as a polite and very stoic, calm individual who rarely shows strong emotion. Deep down, she's very insecure about herself, easily excited, and feels quite a good bit of emotional distress.

An 18-year old delinquent from downtown Vale. In a moment of [[ItAmusedMe poor impulse control]], he stole an SDC truck and took it for a joyride. However, his fun turned into tragedy when it tipped over in a turn and got a Good Samaritan hospitalized.
That do-gooder also happened to be the test pilot of a government program that would revolutionize Hunter performance. Suffice to say, they weren't happy.
So they approached Gage with a choice; take the weapon and the candidate's place in Beacon or they would press charges and Merrick Gage would never see the light of day as a free man for a long time.
Not much of a choice, but he always was a believer in karma. A week or so later would see him on an Airbus to Beacon and his new calling. Whether or not he'd make the grade? Well, that's all on him.
