Since in Generation I, the move kept repeating without needing to reselect, it was useful for grinding purposes and thus avoiding running away or wasting items. Also when opponents like wild Beedrill used multi-hit attacks, it powered up his attack multiple times per turn.

* GradualGrinder: Boosting evasiveness along with Gen I stat boost exploits make it formidable.

* TheMissingNo: In fitting with this being a Gen I game. Some of them are even a form of 'M, MissingNo.'s slightly less well known, but much more dangerous, sister glitch.

* YouCannotGraspTheTrueForm: Appeared as a square of glitchy pixels resembling MissingNo. after actually being sent in to battle.
