* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He has a bit of an stubborn side, as he slams the other foods' beliefs about the Great Beyond and exhibits intolerance to those who disagree with him about it ([[spoiler:although it's not like he was wrong about what would happen once they got out those doors]]), and laughs at Brenda's jokes about Carl, but he is the one who tries to save all the foods in the supermarket from being eaten by the humans, and even before that tried to prevent Honey Mustard from [[spoiler:jumping to his death.]]

* FriendToAllChildren: Thinks that hurting kids is despicable, if his reaction to Camille eating the Baby Carrots is any indication.

* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: [[spoiler:How he dies. He has a knife srick through his body which splits him in half.]]

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He often comes off as a little self centred, such as when he makes no effort to help Frank and Brenda save Honey Mustard, tells Barry to simply forget Frank ever existed, and speaks mostly of how he wants to get inside a bun. However, he does appear to genuinely care about Barry, and [[spoiler:when the truth is revealed about the Great Beyond, Carl decides to make a run for it, but not before stopping to help Barry. In fact, when he is killed, his last words can be taken as a strained attempt to tell Barry to save himself.]]

* NiceGuy: He's the kindest of all the sausages, having little to no mean bones in his tiny body especially when compared to the others, he only gets aggressive if provoked.

* BirdsOfAFeather: Created to be this for Barry, as she was accidentally squished by Brenda and bears a similarly misshappen appearance. Foreshadowed when Barry remarks that he's certain that there's a squished bun in the aisle somewhere for him.

* LipstickLesbian: She's very feminine and unambiguously takes sexual interest in Brenda.

* DubNameChange: Sort of and also overlaps with PunnyName in the Japanese dub: He was "renamed", so to say, as ''Kashu'' (火酒). While the kanji of his name means liteally "Firewater" as in English, the Japanese word also means either "hard liquor" or "hot sake". Also, it's also the Japanese name for the Brazilian alcoholic drink made of sugarcane juice named "Cachaça" in Portuguese.

* JerkassHasAPoint: Tries to convince Frank to not tell the other foods [[EatenAlive the truth]] because [[CassandraTruth they won't believe him]]. Frank decides to do it anyway, and discovers that Firewater was right.

* MeaningfulName: "Twink" is a slang for an attractive gay man with no pubic hair. Also, he's a Twinkie.

* TokenGoodTeammate: Whilst the non-perishables aren't exactly evil, it is Twink gets Firewater and Mr. Grits to spare Frank (although more out of pragmatism than any moral opposition) and is the one who tells Frank where to find [[spoiler: the Cookbook]].

* GodzillaThreshold: Both chooses a weapon and gets chosen as a weapon when any concern about collateral damage becomes moot. [[spoiler:First he produces a huge revolver from his safe box when the food and the customers start battling, hoping to; immediately afterwards, Douche uses him by sticking himself up Darren's ass when the battle between the Food and Humans prevents the former from getting to Frank]].

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler: His trash pail is turned against him when Barry uses it to launch both him and Douche in to the sky, where they blow up]].

* AndIMustScream: {{Defied|Trope}}, just like his real life counterpart; being stuck under the table of a scientist allowed him to gain knowledge by listening to them and he uses that knowledge to create a way for him to move around.

* KavorkaMan: He’s a dried up, deformed wad of gum completely lacking in any facial features [[spoiler: who gets grinded by some female gum strips in the end.]]

* EvilRedhead: He has a red Afro and he makes his foods’ lives a living Hell by eating them or crippling them by only partially-eating them.

* HumiliationConga: After his drug high, he tries to [[spoiler:kill Barry by boiling him. He screws that up, tries to get Barry, getting hot water on himself and eventually [[OffWithHisHead decapitated]].]]

* ObliviouslyEvil: Doesn't know anything about food being alive, because through his (and other people's) eyes, they never EVER move or have human features. The only way he could see them at all is due to taking [[spoiler: liquified bath salts]] (which is self destructive in itself), and afterwards, he just thinks it's a hallucination and nothing more and tries to eat something because of the munchies. When he believes that the food is alive, he is shocked, and guilt-ridden over what that entails.

* SatanicArchetype: The Food sees him as the Prince of Darkness, punishing the unworthy/wicked by throwing them into a BottomlessPit after a single, contemptuous utterance of "Fuck you, [food to be thrown out]."

* DeathBySex: Pretty much what their fate would amount to. Since it's established that a Sausage has to slide into a Bun in order to have sex, they get eaten while they're doing it.
