But in the Drama [=CD=], their relationship is made more genuine; while it still caused her to commit her evil acts in the story, she really loves Saber, and all her atrocities were done for his sake.

* MagicEye: It's said that Kitano's left eye is actually a kind of ''[[http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Mystic_Eyes Mystic Eye]]'', which temporarily paralyzes someone.

* HealingFactor: Like Shirou, Ayaka shows signs of having this. It's first demonstrated when Lancer attacks her in the Sajyou home. Despite having been stabbed in the heart, there are no signs of a wound and even Ayaka's clothes looks completely undamaged once she summons Saber which might imply she has Avalon. [[spoiler:''Fragments of Sky Silver'' confirms that this is indeed the case, as Avalon was the catalyst that Manaka had used to summon Saber. Near the end of the story, Saber would pass it on to Manaka's father Hiroki who would then give it to Ayaka in hopes of protecting her. This also would later allow Ayaka to summon Saber again by the time of ''Fate/Prototype''.]]

* DecompositeCharacter: Not her specifically, but Ayaka's character would go on to eventually serve as the general basis for Shirou, Rin, and Sakura in ''Fate/stay night'' with many elements from her character going on to be split between all three. Her physical appearance also bears similarities to [[LightNovel/TheGardenOfSinners Ryougi Shiki]].

* LackOfEmpathy: The reason why she's so unhinged. Because of her connection to the Root since birth, Manaka has been gifted knowledge and power that far exceeds anyone in the entirety of the Nasuverse save for maybe [[LightNovel/TheGardenOfSinners Shiki Ryougi]]. While she's able to act the part of loving older sister and dutiful daughter to her family, she's unable to truly empathize with the people around her and only sees them as insects far beneath her. The only person who's an exception to this is Saber, whom Manaka fell in love with at first sight after she had a vision of meeting him one day, and devotes all her power to granting his wish of saving Britain.

* EvilCounterpart: To [[LightNovel/TheGardenOfSinners Shiki Ryougi]]. Both have connections to the Root, but whereas Shiki is usually rude but benign, Manaka is polite but villainous. Void Shiki also usually keeps herself dormant and not really interested in using her power whereas Manaka is the opposite as she decides to use her power to try and rewrite the world to suit her and Saber's desires.

* TheOmnipotent: Referred to as such during ''Fragments of Sky Silver''. This is due to her innate connection to the Root since birth, a trait shared only by none other than [[LightNovel/TheGardenOfSinners Shiki Ryougi]], whose third personality is considered to be nigh omnipotent as well. If not due to certain restrictions, Manaka actually has the capacity to grant Saber's wish herself.

* TheStoic: Prior to meeting Saber, she was rather detached and somewhat somber outside of her interactions with her younger sister, Ayaka. Like [[LightNovel/TheGardenOfSinners Shiki Ryougi]], her connection to the Root from birth is likely what made her empty in the first place.
* StoryBreakerPower: Being one of [[LightNovel/TheGardenOfSinners two]] of the only known characters to be directly connected to the Root since birth, Manaka's omnipotence earns her a spot as one of the most powerful beings to exist in the Nasuverse. She's all but stated to be stronger than her own Servant ''at least'', has mastered all forms of magecraft that far exceed those that existed during the Age of the Gods, and legitimately has the capacity to grant Saber's wish herself if not for her low magic circuit count, the Counter Force's existence, and the fact that Camelot's fall is under a Quantum Timelock.

* TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth: The kid was ''that'' gentle and ''that'' doomed. It's because of this that Rider wants to revive him as he sees Isemi as someone robbed of his life wants to ensure he gets a second chance.

* {{Meganekko}}: A charmingly pretty girl who wears glasses.

* SpotOfTea: In the OVA, she and Saber are seen having tea and discussing strategies.

* IllBoy: Very ill to the point he was barely kept alive by machinery. By the time the story proper begins, Isemi is already dead and this motivates Rider to bring him back to life. [[spoiler:''Fragments of Sky Silver'' delves into this further, where it's revealed that Isemi is [[PlayingwithSyringes the victim of a "chimerization" experiment]] during the first war apparently performed by having Manaka implant a "beast" in his body.]]

* CuteIsEvil: Aside from Illya, she is the most adorable villain in the series, a cute blue-eyed child who is as beautiful as her sister. She is also the BigBad who is far crazier than even Illya ever was, being willing to massacre many innocents to summon the Beast of Revealation and “save Britan” so Arthur will [[{{Yandere}} love her for it]].

* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Sees nothing wrong in sacrificing her father, Ayaka, and numerous little girls to the Holy Grail in order to power it. All for the sake of her achieving her beloved Saber's wish.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: While it was also what caused her to commit her evil acts in the story, she genuinely loves Saber, and all her atrocities in ''Fragments'' were done for his sake. {{Subverted}} with Ayaka, who she ''may'' have cared for in the past given how she was the only other person besides Saber Manaka was openly and perhaps genuinely pleasant to, but that doesn't stop her from trying to sacrifice Ayaka to the Grail and putting her through one hell of a traumatic experience before doing so.
