* ArtificialLimbs: In real life, she has artificial legs, the result of a hereditary condition that normally would have been cause for an abortion- as such, Fuko wondered why her parents gave birth to her. [[spoiler:It is also what caused her Duel Avatar to manifest its jetpack: Gale Thruster.]]

* BlowYouAway: She can fly ([[NotQuiteFlight kinda]]) and create tornados.

* TheGadfly: Haru notes that she's one of the few people who can put [[spoiler:Kuroyukihime]] on the defensive.

* HimeCut: Her duel avatar has a hair style like this with its straight bangs and long length in the back. Interestingly enough, while she is Japanese, her avatar is styled more like an English lady.

* NotDisabledInVR: Played with. She is legless in real life, but able to live normally with prosthetics. Her avatar on the other hand looks a lot like a person in a wheelchair [[spoiler:and has lost its legs ever since Kuroyukihime severed them on Raker's request]]. However, her abilities are not any worse than the other avatars, which makes it a straight example after all.

While [[AuthorityEqualsAsskicking by far the strongest of the main characters]] (enough to function as a {{Mentor}} and BigGood), her position makes her vulnerable to being [[BadassInDistress targeted by assassins]], which [[GodzillaThreshold limits the amount she can personally take to the field]]. Like all Burst Linkers, her avatar's powers are [[PersonalityPowers shaped by the user's personal complexes]] - in her case this manifests as [[BladeBelowTheShoulder bladed limbs]] that inflict [[WoundThatWillNotHeal incurable wounds]] on the slightest touch, and gives her the RedBaron nickname of "World End". Her personal growth over the course of the story is mirrored by her attempts to reshape Lotus's limbs into simple hands instead.

Initially Haru just wants to fly away from his problems, but [[GrewASpine as he grows in confidence]] he shifts towards a straighter example of this trope, admiring birds and loving the sky for its own sake. This culminates in the birth of his second-order Incarnate technique "Light Speed", which lets him activate Crow's wings through sheer force of will.

* LethalJokeCharacter: Silver Crow. Above-average speed but terrible stats everywhere else, and its supposed {{Finishing Move}}s are just normal punches, kicks and headbutts. Then Haru figures out how to [[WingPull activate Crow's wings]], giving him SuperSpeed {{Flight}} that turns even regular punches into killing blows. ''[[NextTierPowerUp Then]]'' he gains access to a proper FinishingMove from another source, [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill which can be used while flying]].

* WingPull: Silver Crow has a set of retractable fins (replaced by sheets of HighTechHexagons in the anime) which slow his fall, and can be used to fly by expending his special move gauge. In volume 8 he develops the second-order Incarnate technique "Light Speed" which transforms them into bird wings made of PureEnergy, allowing him to fly even when his meter is empty, and much faster too.
