What if the character simply is a feminine male who also happens to be evil?
Deleted the following Natter (which also violated Example Indentation).
Anime and Manga
- Peacemaker Kurogane
- But consider that Suzu already shown he had more than disciple worship feelings toward his master beforehand and that he went crazy because his beloved master was killed and he was a sex slave to some old, dirty man afterwards.
- Black Cat
- There is nothing ambiguous about Creed's gayness.
- Busou Renkin
- It seems to be less about sexuality and more about being free from his existence as Chouno. Chouno was average, understated, overlooked; Papillon is anything but.
Film
- Psycho
- Since "mother" only came out to punish women who aroused desire in Norman, he seems more neutered than effeminate. Not that there aren't Unfortunate Implications to this as well. However, Anthony Perkins was gay in Real Life, so there might be some slight Reality Subtext going on here.
- Pinocchio
- Foulfellow is most certainly not this trope. He is indeed a Large Ham, and when genuinely angered (by his lackey Gideon, usually) butches up quite a bit.
Radio
- Bleak Expectations
- Though he's probably more in love with himself than any other human of either sex.
Video Games
- Dynasty Warriors 6
- In ancient China, that kind of effeminacy was much more tolerated.
- This is a fictional work based upon history which is padded out to give more 'colour' to personalities and appearances of the generals. While Zhang He was just as battle-crazy, he was in reality another generic beardo in a continent full of Badass Normal bearded guys.
- In ancient China, that kind of effeminacy was much more tolerated.
- Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
- No, he's a Memetic Molester. Have you seen his reactions to Zelgius?
- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
- Note that while his personality may be this, all three of his boss fights are in the running for "seriously kick-ass". In addition to subverting the series-long tradition of using the dungeon's item to defeat the boss, if you're an idiot about telegraphing your attacks, he will literally grab your sword by its blade(with one hand, no less) and wrest it out of your hands. It'd be all over for Link if he didn't throw it at you shortly afterward- pointy end first, of course.
Western Animation
- South Park
- Looks-wise, yes, but personality-wise he's a kitten, and very much Saddam's bitch.
- South Park
- Kim Possible
- A somewhat questionable example on two counts: 1)He isn't really interested in being a villain — he's just following his father's direction. 2)He's arguably more bishie than sissy.
- Transformers
- Except Transformers Energon, but he was brainwashed so that doesn't count.
- His movie counterpart is just a bit cowardly and rather Badass, just look at his Crowning Moment Of Awesome in the first movie, when he takes out the others F-22.
- Except Transformers Energon, but he was brainwashed so that doesn't count.
"WARNING: Potential Nightmare Fuel ahead....One fan theory about Joker's murder of Jason Todd (Robin) is that after he beat Jason bloody with a crowbar, he sexually molested his unconscious form. His leering, ogling expression as he's swinging the crowbar makes this theory uncomfortably plausible."
I know Tropers Do It Without Notability, but... where is this theory ever discussed? I haven't heard of this theory at all, and if it's not a real example it really shouldn't be on the main page. Not that this isn't something The Joker wouldn't do as a character, but I think there should at least be some sort of link to something discussing this theory if this claim is going to be made.
It's like my momma always told me: "Troping is as Troping does..."[Him and the Red Guy] met once in a commercial to hit on Johnny Bravo and plan to take over Cartoon Network.
Where is this commercial? I'm curious about it now....
"But Go-wuh, it's mah play!" —Gore Vidal quoting Tennessee Williams Hide / Show RepliesNever mind. I found it.
"But Go-wuh, it's mah play!" —Gore Vidal quoting Tennessee WilliamsCan we get a better picture? It could be the same guy. It's just hard to see a lot of him.
Sir Psycho Sexy: removed this:
- Shinobu Sensui to an extent, and is actually gay. His partner Itsuki is particularly feminine looking.
because, as a Straight Gay, he isn't particularly an example. Itsuki might be Bishōnen, but he isn't camp in any way, shape, or form.
Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid I'll take over.
