Personally, I feel that "Mordor" seems too specific a name for this trope. Perhaps renaming it something more broad would give a general feel about what the trope is about, not just franchise-specific. If one saw that the trope page is called Mordor, they may automatically associate it with LOTR more than "The Worf Effect" in Star Trek. If it were up to me, I would rename it "The black land" or "Barren Wasteland" or something like that. Of course, this is only my opinion.

Example removed because it seems to be shoehorning a work onto this trope (which, I think, should not have examples overlapping with Fluffy Cloud Heaven), backing up its strained argument with sinkholes to other tropes that it may not represent either:
- Bayonetta's Paradiso zigzags this trope. (Seriously!) Sure, it's full of sunbeams, flowers, sparkles, white feathers and the BGM is an Ethereal Choir singing beautiful nonsense. But just as the angels are dolled up Eldritch Abominations, Paradiso is likewise a dangerous, scary place thinly disguised as the Sugar Bowl. Oh, and it's the "light-themed" counterpart to the "dark-themed" Inferno. Just think about that...

Sorry to be a spoilsport, but does anyone think we should probably dump the Real Life section here too? It's not exactly a positive trope, and hence it could become host to a ton of Unfortunate Implications.
