I tossed up a complete writeup of all pactio cards and pics of the front and back of each and Latin spellings of them as well in the trivia section.

Ok they are all up on the character page. Should I put the guide into the "Card info" part? Like this: Card Info◊ or link their full card in the "pactio": part? Like: Pactio◊

Only added card number for non-class members since their card number is the seat number all 4 cards of non-class members are incredibly meaningful. (should class members be added to?)

We don't need it on the characters page. Just leave it on trivia.

Does anyone ever read the trivia section? probably not.. also all the info are massive clues to each character's personality most of all is their Virtue they are all massive clues to their character and the only surprising one is Haruna's Virtue "Restraint" which requires you to see that she is always holding back.

All the non-class member's card numbers are way symbolic I mean Negi's 496 is the Perfect Number of 31 (1 + 2 + 3 ect to 31) AL's and Rakan's Numbers are all 1001 (the thousand master's pactio lawl) and Luna's is 32 (the 32nd class member)

But it's trivia. It doesn't matter if it helps explain the character, it's trivia. We don't need to put it in the character section, it's unnecessary information. Seriously, the perfect number thing? What does that even tell us about Negi?

Numerological Motif is a trope and it means that he is the sum of his students. (or he wouldn't be who he is today without them)

Add Numerological Motif to the main Negima page then. If it's something in common with all the students and whatnot we don't need to list it individually. And it's undeniably just trivia information. It just clutters up the page with information that doesn't tell either A. information that's completely obvious or B. information that becomes completely obvious once you've actually read the story and until then doesn't even matter. It's kind of interesting, but that's why we have a trivia page. To keep track of stuff like that.

Except for no one knows about the trivia page... I mean I only learned about it when I was told to place info in there.

Can we add a line at the top saying "Additional Pactio and Personal info can be found on the trivia page."? because we seem to be shoving every piece of Important Personal info there... soon it will be the character page.

It is the exact definition of trivia - information that is nonessential and of relatively little consequence.

I have no problem with putting a line at the top indicating that additional information can be found on the trivia page, if you're genuinely concerned that no one will know it's there.

Adding a line at the top is fine. Go on both what, the main page and trivia or trivia and the character page? Either one is fine.

And about the hateraid thing... I've been arguing with someone who has 'special' debating skills lately, which may mean I'm being overly forceful in my arguments. If that is the case, my apologies.

The Main and Character page since it applies to everyone but special cases for Negi and Luna. like

Not all of it is, but the I don't think the 'titles' introduced in one of the more recent chapters really were such things. I mean, who would give a title to Mei or Takane? No one knows who they are. Those seemed more like a summary of their skills, position or personality.

They definitely are titles, though. They're not even complete sentences, and are barely long enough to be sentence fragments. I think most of 'em belong.

But would someone in this world call someone 'the lovestruck invincible gun platform' and expect people to know who it was? Hell, only a couple of people really know that Chachamaru even likes Negi. People know who The Thousand Blades is.

Edit: It's been discussed in the Negima thread on the forums and a compromise was reached to move them out of titles and into a sort of subtitle below the character's name.

They look Awesome there. On Page 2 I did a few more to make there names seem less long like

Just cause the old one was way confusing.

I went along with doing "The Thousand Master" and "The Thousand Blades" too but that might be slight over kill and Rule of Cool. What does everyone think?

EDIT: I skipped the other Ala Rubra member that goes Red Baron on us Death Glasses just cause I forgot but I will wait till I get a response here before changing it.

Queen of Calamity, the Thousand Blades and the Thousand Master are all actual titles given instory.

Edit: If you wanted to do something along those lines there might be something to put there like 'Invincible Hero' that wasn't formally a title.

I think we she should just leave it at image links to the various "Negi Love-Love rankings" under the main article's Love Chart entry. Therefore the values can be viewed at one's discretion, and we prevent listing of outdated information, since we are only showing when the Love Chart trope has been used.

They can be updated if more up-to-date information becomes available. Once subsequent data sets are available, we'll perform a regression to get a function with which to extrapolate the emotional nuances of 31 fictional characters on a moment-by-moment basis.

Glad I had my stats class this last semester so I know what you are talking about. But how would you even assign values to the various character's actions?

That is the problem: I know there is a Friendship Trope in their group dynamic, but I can't pin-point it. You can't stay friends that long with someone like Haruna if she didn't have some good qualities. Yes, she's "do-whatever-the-hell-she-likes" Chaotic Neutral, but several times I've seen actions from her that show that she does value the bond between her and Nodoka and Yue (e.g. last stages of the whole "Nodoka-Yue-Negi Love Triangle" sub-arc) - even if she thinks they're too prudish for their own good. XD

I'd have put Odd Friendship if it weren't for the actual trope definition being inapplicable.

Three-way? Why people always forget that it's NOT Library Three, but Library Four? Konoka is integral part of that group, she was friends with Nodoka and Paru long before Yue mellowed up.

Well, Konoka is a member of the Library Expedition Club, but I see a few reasons for the fans not counting her as part of "the library trio":

• She hangs out with Setsuna a lot.
• She's not all that involved in all the Negishipping.

Only she hangs with other three a lot too. And IIRC she IS involved, just in "Konoka manner".

I think we've overloaded the thing... we may be trying to stuff too much into them. Folders by character may be necessary for the more Troperrific ones...

Bleach is having editing problems as well. The solution being used is to split the movie (and eventually anime) tropes/characters onto their own pages. Here we could do something similar, but I don't think there are that many characters that fit into those two categories (anime and movie). What could work is if we take the "Magic World" arc (Chapters 169-Present) and give the characters who mainly appear after chapter 169 their own page (I would say "only appear," but Fate and crew should probably be moved over as well). I'm thinking Negima Part Two might work as long as it is properly linked to everything.

I think each member of Ala Alba should get their own folder, since they're the ones that have the most tropes. Maybe that'll help.

Well, I've checked out the page. About the first third or forty percent of the page is taken up with just Ala Alba, and along with the other 3A students take it to 75%. How about we split it into two pages, one for Ala Alba and the other for everyone else? Or three, Ala Alba, Mahora and the third for the Magical World etc. characters?

Ouch. Ok, I guess we would have to split it up that way. Negima Alba Alba as the new page then? It might take longer to set it up then moving the non-Alba Alba characters to a new page, but Negima: Other just does not sound right.

Looking at the main Negima page, there might be enough Alba Alba only tropes to giver them a "Main" page as well as a character page. Anyone else think we should attempt it?

I'm thinking the main page we have now should be Ala Alba, a second page called Mahou Sensei Negima School (or something along those lines) for the students and the final page for magical world titled Mahou Sensei Negima Magical World/Magica Mundus. I'd say to leave the original page titled as it is.

Three pages seems kinda superfluous when we technically only need two but these pages are just going to continue getting bulkier, and with those divisions in place we won't have to make more again. Plus they'd all be the same length. With a system like this we can also give any particular character their own separate folder or some such deal.

As for the actual titles, the main characters page would say Ala Alba at the top with links to Mahora Students and Staff and Magical World Residents.

Edit: The urls for those would be a little clunky, but it's not like we'd ever really be linking to them anyway. We'd just need to set up links at the start of our main page.

Ok, if there's no dissent about this I'm going to cut it into thirds this time tomorrow then.

The Ala Alba section was longer than I thought, so I split it in two instead and put in links to it where appropriate. Just needs to be refolderized now.
