openSONG FROM A TV COMMERCIAL Music
There was this catchy pop song that keeps playing in a commercial that plays during a tv break. The channel was... CBS? I think that's it. I've tried looking it up on google but I couldn't find anything. The only lyrics I could make out was something like this:
"yeah you can turn me upside down turn my heart inside out but i can never give in now do it again"
Well, I'm not really sure about the last part. Maybe it's something like "till we meet again?" The only thing I'm really sure about the song is that the singer sounds like a girl...
I'd really appreciate it if anyone can help me out :)
openEarly 00's horror movie Film
The name totally escapes me; it was this old horror movie so long ago I don't even remember the plot, but the intro had this scene where a guy (the main character) was going through this shack and as he approached this crying woman with her back turned she shoved a snake against his neck and it tore a chunk it of him but then it turned out he was dreaming it. Also, he had a job at a computer store with a dickish boss and this girl came in asking for help cleaning her laptop (it was red wax from when she was doing some occult stuff). I can't remember anything past that. Also, the opening music was kind of ethereal; y'know, the gamut for early 00's horror/thriller movies. I think the lyrics were something like 'vanishing near, disappearing, fading', something along those lines.
Edited by JassoopenChildren's Educational Series from Late 80's/Early 90's
I remember there was a series of educational videos we had sometime around the late 80's/early 90's. Here's what I can remember: -Most of them featured a puppet, tan in color with white hair who spoke in rhyme. Almost reminds you of Uncle Matt from Fraggle Rock. -One video I distinctly remember was this puppet received a package, and he would open it only to reveal another package. The scene would cut to another short skit, then back to the puppet who kept revealing packages up until the end. -Each video would ship with a children's book. About halfway through the video the book would be read while zooming in on the illustrations. -At the end of each video, the puppet would thank the viewer for watching and then recommend more books for them to read.

openAI Takeover Flash Game Videogame
I remember playing a flash game on Kongregate. It was a series of puzzle games where you look into a person's emails and try to access the locked folders. Obviously the passwords are hidden in the emails, through pictures you have to decrypt and stuff like that. Anyway in the end of the series, it's revealed you're helping a malevolent AI with a female voice getting out, and the ending shows her appearing through electronic billboards and stuff. Does anybody remember the name?
openA girl named Alex who rescues her teacher, Mr. Underwood, from pirates. Literature
A girl named Alex is in sixth grade. She has no parents and has to brush her teeth three times a day, including during school so kids make fun of her. The only person at her school who is very nice and likes her much is Mr. Underwood, who might be the gym teacher. I can't remember. He will answer your questions. "If you ask him about Zimbabwe, he will tell you about Zimbabwe." The book has a Lemony Narrator.. Mr. Underwood gets kidnapped by pirates and Alex goes a search to find him. There is a minor character named Captain Magnanimous. He is a Man Child, but a nice guy. I think. The leader of the pirates is secretly a woman. There is a creepy surgeon named Dr. Brunswick who really scared me as a child. The story ends with Mr. Underwood adopting Alex. I have been wondering about this one for years. I listened to it as a book on CD with my parents at about age 6 and really enjoyed it.
openMy mom and I saw an episode and really liked it but didn't know what it was called. Live Action TV
We never saw the title anywhere, not even in the end credits. It is modern day and the main character is a mom. In the episode we saw, both plots center around gay people. The lady is convinced her brother is gay and so is the audience. She is very supportive, and expects him to come out any day. Then one day he as to talk to get about something. It is a very funny bait and switch. He is not gay, but wants to get together with his best friend's former girlfriend. In the other subplot, the mom characters young daughter has a classmate who has been adopted by a lesbian couple. The two children go on a couple playdates while the mom and her husband get to know the lesbian couple better, but it turns out the couple is a pair of assholes who let their kid do whatever he wants so he is really mean, and go all "are you repressing my child?" when someone asks them to control him. The kids is allowed to hot his parents and also hours the little girl. None of the other parents in the class are willing to call the lesbian couple out because even though they are horrible, the person who calls them out will probably be called homophobic. It's Better Than It Sounds, I swear.
openAnyone know what this melody is from? (Sound clip) probably an anime OP or ED
I can't remember any of the words. Link is to a short clip of me humming the tune I can remember. It's probably from some anime so I figure someone here might have heard it.
Headphone users might want to turn down volume a bit. Thanks.
openForeign Language Teaching Program Western Animation
I'm trying to find this programme that I watched on video when I was studying French in high school. It was an animation where there would be a series of vignettes all based around introducing simple phrases such as one where it followed a man as he went about his day saying all the time appropriate greetings (i.e. Bonjour in the morning, bonne nuit at night). I remember the teacher saying that because it was an animation, they'd made it so that you could just dub it over with whatever language you wanted it to, and that it had actually started out as a tool for teaching English. I think that I looked it up a couple of years ago and found out that the original English version actually had some interesting people dubbing it (for some reason I thought that Barry Cryer was involved, but I can't find any information about it on his imdb).
Other assorted info that may be useful, the animation was 2D, sort of the style that you'd get on Sesame Street, and at a guess it would be from between the 1970's and the 1990's, erring more on the 70's/80's side. I'm not 100% sure that it started out as an English teaching program, mainly because I'm operating on memories of something that I saw around 10 years ago. The teacher also seemed to indicate that it was reasonably well known, which makes me think that I just haven't used the right google search keywords. Any help would be greatly appreciated for finding this, mainly so that I can just scratch this itch.
openSomething about a fridge? Live Action TV
I remember watching an episode of a tv show (pretty sure it was a sitcom) where the characters are competing in a store like home depot to win a fridge. There's one part where a character picks someone to compete with which disappoints another character, and that's about all I can remember.
openClaymation Mechanic Show Western Animation
I have very vague memories of this show, but I believe the basic idea was that a mechanic would do check ups on sentient vehicles like Plane or Boat. It's not Bob the Builder, I know that.
openLive Action Fantasy B Movie? Film
I am looking for the name of an old live action fantasy movie. It was about four knights and they each had different elemental powers I believe. I only remember that the rock guy used a mace and was initially the weakest but ended up the strongest at the end of the movie or something like that and one of the villains was this dragon-like human guy that wielded a trident. The movie was on VHS at my local video store so somewhere between 20-15 years old at the very least.
openFantasy manga from somewhere between 2000-2008 Print Comic
I'm looking for a manga I read part of at least 10 years ago. None of the things I can remember about it have been very useful in search engines.
Here's what I've got:
- There were 3 or 4 male warrior/knight guys who didn't wear armor, at least one used a narrow western style long sword.
- They all had pointy chins.
- They were long limbed (almost CLAMP style).
- They were old enough that at least two of them had a lot of personal history with each other.
- The art style used a lot of unrotated tones and some newsprint tones.
- The tone was pretty serious, with basically no comedy.
- The setting was fantasy medieval with some magic, one of the guys might even have been an elf.
- None of them were *gay* but there was a suspicious amount of "tension".
- The main guys were frequently in different places.
It was definitely not:
- Magic Knight Rayearth
- Tsubasa Chronicle
- X
- Fushigi Yuugi
Any help would be much appreciated. Even just questions that might jog my memory could really help.
openTv show in the late 90s/early 00s about a very round fat cat Webcomic
There was a tv show that was on in the late 90s really early on in the morning, I wanna say like 5 or 6 just before Tribe on channel 5 began but I'm not sure if it is the same channel. I'm pretty sure the cat was ginger and partner for the show was a young boy that owned him. I think the title sequence referenced something about him being as round as the world and him eating everything, needless to say this is really bugging me and anyone who knows what the heck I'm talking about please help me out, it's been tormenting me for years And it's not Garfield or any of the usual others, I'm not sure there were many episodes so maybe it's really obscure. The main thing I remember is that this cat was almost drawn literally round
openHappy Hallowiener sitcom??
There was a sitcom i watched for a short time in the mid 2000's, maybe around 2004-6. The only piece of an episode i can remember is a group of dudes (maybe collage age) at a house on Halloween day and they put up this large banner outside of the house that said "Happy Hallowiener". I believe there may have been another episode where these guys went to a carnival or amusement park, but i could be thinking of something completely different! I was young at the time so hard to remember lol. i tried searching Wikipedia for a list of sitcoms but none of the names are ringing a bell!
openWay Out, Anyone? Live Action TV
A graphic anthology show in the vein of The Twilight Zone & Alfred Hitchcock Presents. It had more gut wrenching stories than the two I mentioned: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054574/
openUnknown Anime(?) Anime
I remember, as a kid in the UK in the early 2000s, specifically 2007-2010, Popgirl would show anime dubs but I have a particular memory of a CGI anime (or, at least, I think it was an anime). It involved magical girls, 3 of them specifically, and I think it would go between 2D and 3D but I'm not too sure on that one. I remember the show had at least one desert-like area and the girls rode on motorcycles or something like that. I also think the three girls in the show wore green, blue and red/pink but I'm not too sure on that one. Again, I'm pretty sure this aired on Popgirl. Does anyone remember if this anime was real and what it was called?
Edited by Shine101openAnyone remember this kids tv show? Live Action TV
Ok so this is going to be a hard one. I remember clips of this show in my head, it was something me and my sister watched. I was born in the mid 1990s so the show could have aired anywhere between then and lets say 2005. I don't think the show was on for a long time or I just stopped watching it. I don't remember the name and I don't remember the channel. Heres what I remember. I'm pretty sure the show revolved around a family, father, mom, daughter, and son (for some reason I remember him clearly, he was younger, 13 tops, he had dark brown hair and glasses). It was a more supernatural based episode. Like in one of the episodes the kid is kidnapped by a frog and starts getting turned into one, like I remember an image of him lying an exam table in white room with sensors attached to his stomach, which was starting to turn green. In another episode I remember that part of the family is kidnapped and trapped inside of an hourglass that is slowly being filled with sand. In another episode the mom is possessed by an ancient egyptian, or a which? and starts going a little crazy. Like I can remember her lying in bed and being surrounded by plants. In another episode the families dog is turned into a dinosaur, or just like a really big monster/big dog. I'm sorry I know this sounds weird but thats like all I can remember, anyone have an idea of what I'm talking about? It was a live action show.
open90s kids VHS Film
I use to watch it on VHS as a kid (early 90s). I can't remember if it was a TV show or movie but from what I remember it had a series of tales that had an educational theme to them.It wasn't animation, all the characters were puppets on strings. I can remember a girl went into a cave and inside was a bunch of eggs and out of the eggs hatch little bears. They were suppose to be alive but you could see the strings holding them up. I seem to remember after they hatched out they were dancing to a song. I also remember a girl who had a blue donkey?? And she was carrying on because she wanted the moon, she climb up a ladder to it but fell off and hurt herself and then the donkey sang a song that went "gimmies dont get, dont you know that gimmies dont get".
I know it sounds like a crazy weird dream but my brother remebers watching it too so i know it's real lol
It was a show about a group of people that went to live in space in a dome structure with houses and street inside. The one family, probably the main characters, had a grandmother who's abs was to strong for her to have a baby and had to make her baby in a test tube in a episode. And there was always this character named Guy who did random work everywhere, but no one actually knew him or what he actually does. There was also these fluidly-like aliens in the one episode that reproduced through cloning. Can anyone help me with the name of this show? P.S. I'm not sure but I think the whole living in space was a secret military experiment that no one knew about.
