Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

openSubpages for Poltergeist Film
After moving the work and all its supbages to Film.Poltergeist 1982 and making Film.Poltergeist into a disambiguation, I turned the film's subpages into redirect and cutlisted them (standard procedure).
Is there a reason why some subpages were cut (Awesome/, Headscratchers/, TearJerker/, WMG/) while the request was declined for others (Funny/, NightmareFuel/, ReferencedBy/, Trivia/, YMMV/)?
I mean, it's generally an all-or-nothing process.
openSuper Mario Bros. movie stuff Film
MrStranger616 and tropeminer have been adding questionable stuff to the Super Mario Bros movie page. I sent a notifier on natter, but for Iggy, his characterization as a genius was mainly from the Nintendo Adventure Books, and his heavily-armed mech from Yoshi's Safari came after the movie—in SMB 3 he was the fourth boss with no particular gimmicks, in Super Mario World he was an easy first boss described as 'demented', in the cartoons made before the movie came out Ludwig was the crazed genius, not Iggy, and while more modern Mario games have had Iggy be more mechanically inclined that wasn't until way after 1993. I had deleted it once citing these reasons but they added it back, and the Repetitive Name entry was originally pretty short and to-the-point.
(Also movie Iggy does get smarter when koopa evolves his brain.)
"* Adaptational Dumbass: A character named "Iggy" (no doubt based on Iggy Koopa from Super Mario Bros.3) appears among Koopa's minions. However, instead of being an Evil Genius, like his game counterpart, he's a bumbling doofus."
"* Repetitive Name: While his brother's full name is Liugi Mario, Mario's full name actually is Mario Mario. They are the Mario brothers after all indicating that's their surname. However, Mario is always addressed as just "Mario" as if it were also his first name. That would be like if your sibling always called you by your last name which would be kind of odd since its their's as well. And while it seems silly, can you imagine him with any other first name?"

I'm looking for a trope for the climax of the Great Muppet Caper, where the Muppets and thieves suddenly go into an impromptu game of baseball for a valuable diamond. Any ideas?
openSpoiler Image on Moment Page Film
On the Heartwarming page for Despicable Me 2, the page image is hidden by a spoiler warning. Considering Moment pages are Spoilers Off, is this allowed?
Edited by HMSquaredopenDinosaur names in italics? Film
I was browsing Super Mario Bros and noticed all the dino names are in italics. Is it supposed to be like that?
openDid I do the right thing to edit examples because I think it's wrong? Film
So I was checking on a film called Run and I found some examples that are either ZCE, natter or maybe Word Cruft. So I edited them out to add/change details and commented out some ZCE including some examples in YMMV page. So did I do the right thing or not? Here are my Ed its.

On Film.Tom And Jerry ComicCat12 added the following:
And it remained there, when the contents of the page were moved to Film.Tom And Jerry 2021.
It was removed by Kappaclystica, as per the remove complaining threads instructions.
ComicCat12 has since then added it back.
openExcessive spoilering. Film
The page for Self/Less is very heavily spoilered, covering entire examples.
This movie does have twists, sure, but it looks excessive. Is there a standard procedure for such a case?
openUnfinished and Nearly Empty Film page Film
So I was looking at Flims of The 2020s and I happens to find a movie page named I Used To Go Here where it has only a description and nothing else. Should I cut it or have someone add examples?
openPlot synopsis, few tropes? Film
Zanna, Don't! has issues with the entire plot synopsis being listed on the main page instead of tropified. Where would I point to rectify this?
openEdit War in YMMV/CaptainAmericaCivil War Film
Ken Craig added an entry about They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character for Miles Morales in Captain America Civil War which was then deleted by Cornholio 4 for misuse since the character never even shows up in the film. Ken Craig then added it back, seemingly ignoring the previous note.
openWicking Help Film
I need help trying to wick Spring Breakdown. I tried wicking it to Films of the 2000s and it didn't pop up when I went back to the page.

openText alignment on Spaceballs Film
Courtesy link: Spaceballs
I'm at a loss on this one, so I'm opening it to the floor. The opening crawl text stretches beyond the size of the image, so it's centered inconsistently. I can't figure out how to force it to conform to the same line (if there even is one), at least not without adding a blank image or something similarly ham-fisted.
openToo small a page? Film
Memes.Mulan 2020 seems too small to be its own page, having 6 examples of dubious quality/memeage.
openHow do I add new info on a page? Film
I wanted to add something on the Wild Mass Guessing of Disney Animated Canon, but since I never typed for this Wiki I don´t want to make a mess by accident. Any guidelines of how to do it? It seems some of the stuff wrote use signs I don´t know how to typed with my keyboard at the time I´m writing this.
openIs a comedy Rated M For Manly work automatically Testosterone Poisoning? Film
I wanted to add 2005 The Longest Yard as an example on Rated M for Manly, but since the film is a comedy, I was unsure if it should go on Testosterone Poisoning

What do you call this trope: The unsuspecting character, ofttimes a mafioso, is innocently carrying his groceries out of the store, or into his home, etc and is then ambushed by a gun-wielding assailant. The assault itself is typically off-screen while the camera instead goes into slow-motion, focuses on the groceries (fruit, produce, raw pasta, etc) slowly tumbling and rolling away on the ground, and which might be followed up by a puddle of blood then pooling near the spilled groceries. The music accompanying the slow-motion trope is operatic or classical music coming to a crescendo as this little scene plays out.
