Most psychotic anime characters

Yami Marik stopped being scary for me when he was rechristened as Melvin.

He looks a bit silly to me.

The Manga version is Too Kinky to Torture, though.

Yami Marik was narm for me, actually, but that's because of the dub.

Hes genuiely Terrifying in the original, and the manga. Dear god, the manga verion.

Yami Marik actually Skins his own dad alive upon release, as opposed to just stabbing him and throws the skin on Odio/Rishid. Not to mention in the manga he also has Joey punch him in the gut and Have orgasm when it happens.

Yami Marik was really, REALLY watered down, even in the japanese version of the anime.

Another character thats psychotic that makes me want to throw up is the truly despicable Shira from Blade Of The Immortal.

Hisoka could make people scared of clowns all by his lonesome.

Hisoka's more of Nightmare Fetish Fuel for me actually. I don't know if there are any characters in that manga that actually terrify me... hmm. Nah, not even the chimera ants. But from an objective standpoint I don't really think Hisoka's actually psychotic either... he's just a Blood Knight who also happens to be turned on by Anything That Moves, is all.

.........well recent chapters' Gon terrifies the crap out of me, but I don't think HE'S being psychotic either.

Kind of teh same for me here too, but I was trying to crack a joke and failed miserably.

You want crazy facial expressions? Dilandou from Escaflowne should satisfy that desire.

People... Lucy. Seriously, on her first appeareance we see her Escaping a laboratory in an island and killing everyone in sight, sparing only Kurama and also her creepy lack of empathy and emotions while tearing people apart, which replaced the Manga's demonic Slasher Smile and insane fits of Evil Laugh she throws while tearing her fellow diclonius. Limb. By. Limb.

Same with Mariko.

Sensui's more...erm... Nightmare Fetish Fuel for me. Elder Toguro (as stated previously) and Sakyou are the psychos from that show that actually terrify me.

Sakyou creeped me out, but he never really terrified me for some reason, just disgusted me (Which is weird since I felt exactly the same way toward Tarukane, whom Sakyou had killed and I thus kinda liked Sakyou for that initially. It felt like a wake-up slap as the story went on and we saw more of how Sakyou was really like. Too bad anime!Shizuru never quite got it...*grumble grumble*)

And, the short-lived Kazuya aside, Sensui was also just creepy and not terrifying. Elder Toguro, though............Holy Hell. Just remembering his scenes before bedtime makes it hard to sleep at night.

And the Trinity siblings I just plain like.

This might belong in the "unpopular opinions" thread but...same here. IMO, Gundam 00 never lived up to much of it's potential and ended up as a "meh" show; the Trinity siblings' treatment was a big example for me. Three awesome, psychotic anti-heroes turned villains (well, more like "revealed to be villains"), all three wasted, especially poor Nena, who might as well have been killed off when her brothers were since they did near jack-squat with her in the second season save for poorly-executed vengenace for Louise. *Grumble grumble grumble*

Well she wasn't. And she pretended to be her mother all that time. The bitch! Served her right!

I will agree that Elder Toguro was really psychotic, but I found him deliciously psychotic rather than scary. But I am a Nightmare Fetishist. Go figure.

^I felt the same way about Kazuya!Sensui, to be honest.

But that his gun-arm is rather Freudian (and that the dub made his lines while shooting at Yusuke sound even MORE SO than in Japanese) does not help.

Although, I'm almost tempted to say Light by the time he's at the end of the series. That one deleted scene on L's grave.

Oh, boy! How could I possibly forgot about Majin (Kid) Buu: Ax-Crazy Omnicidal Maniac, check. Has a knack for blowing entire planets to hell, check. constant Slasher Smile, check. gives the heroes a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown, check. is a full-on Eldritch Abomination, check.

^Yeah, but he's Laughably Evil, which was the first impression I had of him, and the one that stuck (unfortunately).

Not exactly psychotic than RUTHLESS AS A DEVIL, but Balalaika from Black Lagoon. She's badass, hot, but scary as hell.
