Got myself a Hennessey Venom GT from a Need for Speed: No Limits special event. No IAP involved, just good ol' fashioned grinding. I find most of the event's difficulty isn't from the RNG drops or bullshit AI, but because the car is so damned fast I kept crashing into walls and lose control.

Killed the Assasin in Dead Cells for the first time on the first try. Thanks fuck for the dagger + teleoprtation in the back combo, it carried me through the fight even though i had next to n oidea what was going on.

That combo is hilariously broken though. once you get it, you literally stop making normal attacks and proc endless crits on your ennemies. It basically transform you into a walking omae wa mou shindeiru -NANI ?

Unlocked Celica and S-ranked the the "Together to the End" mission in Fire Emblem Warriors. Also S-ranked "The Noble Lady of Caelin," which I didn't manage to do the first time I beat that level.

I've been practicing manual transmission in Test Drive Unlimited and Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit - the former letting me simulate the clutch rather than just the shifting. It's mostly so I can have a basic idea of how it's like to drive stick, but I also did it to experiment the benefits of driving in manual rather than automatic.

Naturally, I tested it in The Need for Speed given how it has the least arcadey driving of the bunch. Needless to say, driving manual rather than automatic gave me a tremendous edge that I lacked when I drove automatic, due to being able to pull out some stunts with manual transmission(the crown goes to engine braking, it's godly) as well as figuring which gears are truly the most efficient to stay in. I beat the Lamborghini Diablo and the Ferrari 512TR using the Toyota Supra Turbo, and before that, I beat the Dodge Viper RT-10 also with the Supra.

Sick of everything.

I've fully tuned my Toyota 86 in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5DX+! Good God, those last races were grueling. A hairpin after 7 kilometers of wide-open straight is borderline bullshit. Clearing the story mode also nets me WMMT 4's OST, which is my favorite of the whole series. Hopefully it stays unlocked once WMMT 6 rolls out.

Completed one of the Anna levels in Fire Emblem Warriors. Didn't manage to S-rank it, but that's mostly because I took too much damage.

I beat Dragon Quest V with Bianca as my wife! My friend beat file 2 with Nera as her wife, so now all I need is to beat file 3 with Debora as my wife and I'll have seen everyone's endings and gotten most of the pertinent Party Chat dialogue.

The Protomen enhanced my life.

I beat Jenova DEATH in Final Fantasy VII. Pretty hard boss due to the characters being underleveled but I beat it. I used Cloud, Tifa and Red XIII.

I managed to outlast three "electric wall closings" in PUBG this morning and survived up to #16 (the best finish I've had in the game so far). I eventually got brought down by some dude in full body armor that I only barely managed to wound once with my pistol (again, a personal besttongue).

I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!

I got my first platinum relic of my current Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped playthrough on Gee Wiz, followed by gold and plenty of extra lives on Hang 'Em High! Only managed sapphire on Hog Ride though, but the motorcycle levels are terrible anyway. Now Tomb Time is giving me shit.

Just finished Thief Deadly Shadows, on the default difficulty setting.

I installed that big third-party overhaul mod to make the game work better. Overall it was a decent game, mostly true to the Thief spirit, although I felt like it got a little repetitive and there were some mechanics that were a step down from Dark Project and Metal Age. In particular, evading guards/monsters seemed kinda too easy compared to the first two games; they would give up relatively quickly, and even in a pinch it was usually possible to outrun them or escape by climbing up a stone wall. Having to traverse the same areas of the city multiple times, while an interesting touch, I don't think did the game much good the way it was implemented. I thought the museum level near the end was the 'most thieflike' and probably the best part in terms of gameplay. The infamous Robbing the Cradle level, while effective, was ultimately no scarier than Return to the Cathedral overall. The statues' dialogue in the later part of the game was fun, as was watching the various factions tearing up the city a la Postal 2 towards the end.

The overhaul mod has a difficulty parameter governing how easily the enemies alert, and I left it on the default setting, but it can be cranked *way* up. I don't really know what the effects of doing that are, it might make the game more challenging. Someday if I feel like playing through TDS again, I might crank that setting up and see what happens.

Kerbal Space Program

As a noob with less than three days' worth of gameplay under my belt, I pulled off an orbital rendezvous and docking with two ships (which the tutorial says is the hardest thing there is in rocket science - and it's not kidding, especially since neither ship was on the ecliptic!).

First I sent up Jebediah in a fairly basic ship (two medium SRBs on first stage, one liquid engine on second stage, one small liquid engine on terminal stage), then I launched Valentina in an improved version (three liquid engines on first stage and expanded fuel reserves for the second stage; it was just barely enough to hit orbit while keeping the terminal stage in reserve). Then I sat back and waited for about a dozen orbits until Val caught up to within a few hundred klicks of Jeb. Then I had Valentina do the intercept burn, followed by a smaller second burn to bring her within 1.5 klicks of Jeb where she could decelerate on RCS enough to park within 100 meters of Jeb, then I switched to Jeb, fired up his RCS and finished the docking.

Then I had the two go EVA and switch ships, followed by using Jeb's former ship's terminal stage for a deorbit burn, followed by dumping both terminal stages, undocking and plunging into the atmosphere together. The sight of both pods glowing with reentry heat within arm's reach of each other, popping chutes together and landing 146 meters apart was a thing of beauty, I tell you.

Update: after an hour's worth of experimentation, I finally managed to produce a spaceplane capable of reaching orbit with a full stage and a half to spare, despite having no wings and missing half of the fins it's supposed to have.

Welp, finished Pyre today. Great game, Supergiant games, you once again made it work.

So, ended up with : letting those four behind : Ti'zo (you're so damn adorable but you don't actually have much of a reason to ever leave the downside though), Mae the stowaway(Look, the boy on the fated is down here too and it was eiher that or hyptohetically spending half of the rites getting you, the boy and the father out. You're going to be alright), Pamitha (asked me to lose on purpose against you sis. Fine by me, but there goes your chance to get out.) and Bertrude(didn't sound very enthousisat to leaving, and apparently her and pamitha got along well.) and the rest of them, reader included, escaped. The plan worked with 93% of success, soooooo peaceful revolution there we go.

Looks like a pretty fine ending to me, at least. I'm quite happy I didn't had to restart any fight that wasn't the crystal trial one too.

Also it's funny to me that you could put the ending song of Fire Emblem Echoes on the end and it would still be very relevant. It has the same themes of Earn Your Happy Ending, the passing of an age, and setting the whole world right at the cost of the loss of something.

Minor achievement for Fire Emblem Warriors, but I managed to beat every single opponent in one of the "Grief" arenas. Wasn't expecting to have to face Darios and a Level 100+ Velezark at the same time, but I managed to beat them both.

More Kerbal Space Program. This time, I managed to figure out how to fly a Mk1 Cockpit through reentry nose-first without it exploding due to its notoriously low heat tolerance.

Just 8 hours before my birthday, I finally crossed level 20 in PlayStation trophies. Still only one Platinum (Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, and that was a piece of cake to get), but I'm not too worried about that.
