Weird dreams

You can imagine how pumped I'm with the Super Mario Maker hype when I dream that a Mario level is being built ..... behind my house!

I was sitting in front of a table, watching something on a laptop. I had a little baby girl on my lap. She started babbling and making baby noises, which apparently annoyed me. So, I placed my hand on the back of her head and slammed her face into the table, hard. She started crying, and I was less annoyed. I did it again later on.

What the hell is wrong with me? I woke up incredibly upset at this dream, and felt almost like bursting into tears all day today. I mean, she was just a little baby!

My first nightmare in ages and ages, and it’s a weird one!

There’s a man/woman couple making love on a sofa. Both are wearing fat-suits. He kind of looks like Roger Livesey in The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, though I think he’s supposed to be dressed as Falstaff. She, for some reason, is wearing a Miss Piggy mask. Suddenly, she becomes very angry with him and shouts at him, “You think I’m fat, don’t you?” She shoves an air-hose in his fat-suit and starts inflating it.

Right about this point, these weird, plastic puppet-bug things start swarming in. They’re roughly the size of teddy bears, are solid green and bipedal. They have antennae on top and no facial features save for a jagged “mouth” that’s really just a zig-zag that’s embossed on a slightly higher plane than the rest of their heads. Despite having no proper mouth-parts, they can bite you and it hurts. They surround me all over and are biting constantly when I wake up.

I've been thinking about the Super Smash Bros. Smash Ballot and Smash DLC a lot lately, and it's affected my dreams. Last night I dreamed that they had revealed two results from the Ballot, which were Ninjask and a Fire Emblem mage-type of guy named Hans. (I honestly have no idea if there's actually a character by that name or class in the actual games.) And the night before that, I dreamed that I had downloaded Tabuu and was fighting against him (using Yoshi) on Final Destination.

From a painful (literally) nightmare to utter wish-fulfillment. I’m outside, down the street where I live among some eucalyptus trees, sitting at a piano and singing Laura Nyro’s “Time and Love” with the members of Labelle (for the record: Patti LaBelle, Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash). Don Cornelius comes up and asks who is singing. I’m a bit embarrassed, as I’m just getting over a cold, and my voice is cracking as a result.

i once had a dream about being able to cook plastic and make it edible, so what does that say about me?

Last night: I had a bunch of strange dreams, but the only one I remember the most about was finding my siblings watching a strange movie starring me!

The movie was about the misadventures of me and my Not-So-Imaginary Friend, a Lucario. One day, he looked into a small TARDIS-like object and promptly disintegrated...for some reason. I scooped up what remained of him and rushed him to a Pokemon Center...which looked like a museum near where I live and was being run by Hello Nurse rather than a Nurse Joy.

Yakko, Wakko, and Dot were also there, and decided to take on the duties of Pokemon re-invigoration themselves when Hello Nurse left for some reason. Three guesses as to what happened next. They stuck Lucario in a tanning machine, turned it up all the way, and this caused him to undergo strange transformations. First he transformed into the mountain lion who appeared in some Looney Tunes shorts, then a giant flower, and then a normal sized macadamia nut. At this point, they removed Nut!Lucario from the machine and Wakko said "Uh, maybe we should wait until Buzz Lightyear gets back." Buzz arrived with Hello Nurse and Jessie, and returned Lucario to his normal self. Then for some reason it went into a commercial break (even though the movie was on home video). I don't remember much of anything else about my dreams after that.

Last night I had a fantastic dream. It was 5 am and we were driving to the airport to travel outside of the country; but since the main road leading there was under maintenance, we had to take the road that leads to the airport's city (since the city itself is very large, it would take a bigger track to reach the airport). Well, in the way forward, we stopped into what seemed to be a party that was close to what seemed to be an old, but functional gas flare. A pretty girl there told me I was invited to go to a nude beach, and I asked my family if I could go with them. But they were distractesd by the sight of a meteor that was heading towards a nearby area. We quickly covered through car debris and surprisingly the impact didn't kill us. The dream cuts into a scene where I am in a stadium close to my house. It was 7 am and it was misty everywhere (probably because of the meteor's impact), and there I met a sergeant who was showing me some kids that were behaving bad in a school and were forced to do some abs.

All I can remember from last night is that at some point, I was dreaming that I was playing Contra for the NES...but I was playing as a Clefairy for some reason! Clefairy was double-slapping everything, and when I got to the final boss (that giant heart thingy), she transformed herself into a Sceptile and took it out in one hit.

Last night I was dreaming about having a barbeque with...Shigeru Miyamoto and Larry Page, of all people. And it's not something held in the back of my house, either; we had this on what looks like planet Namek. :/

I dreamed I was delirious with a 107.5 degree fever, and was trying to tell my dad all my Internet passwords because I thought I was dying and wanted him to be able to tell people I was gone.

WTF.

Not that I can remember much from last night, but you can tell you're spending too much time on here when TV Tropes starts showing up in your dreams.

^ Usually when TV Tropes shows up in my dreams, it's just a primer. The part where from then on out until I wake where it just gets weirder and weirder.

Fortunately, it's pretty rare.

Last Night: The Delta Episode of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire was re-enacted in a town near where I live with Peanuts characters. The meteor was destroyed when Lucy pulled the football away from Charlie Brown, somehow causing him to fly into space with enough force to blast the meteor to bits.

The dream changed to something about Jon Tron taking up storm-chasing after that.

I dreamed I had Mario Maker in my hands already and started designing a level. You know those weird spiders (Scuttlebugs) that appeared first in Mario 64? I was making a pile of those, and the font of the level was jungle-themed (a big shame the real game won't have any additional font aside from the grassland one =/); two people were giving me suggestions on what to put and where. Their names, you ask? Hiro and Riley, and apparently they had met each other since long ago by that moment.

My dad and I were in what looked like a furniture store but it was really some sort of hangout spot with beds and sofas and such. He said he'd buy me another pet, as he lounged on a reclining sofa and I'd curled up on this huge beanbag-style mattress... thing, and I said I wanted an alpaca. He thought I'd asked for a cat at first and said it was boring.

And apparently in the dream we hung out in this place a lot since he'd commented that they fixed up one of the mattresses that had gotten all dirty.

I dreamed there was a very serious fire at a house nearby and, for some reason, there was a long delay on the second pump arriving.

We were short-crewed, with only four, and there were an uncertain number of children (more than 15) in the house. The adults had run out but the kids had panicked and scattered inside the house.

Naturally, I went in but my team-mate seemed to hesitate and wouldn't come in.

The house was like a combination maze-blast furnace inside and every time I dragged somebody out there seemed to be more inside. I was overheating and running out of air but my team-mate had wandered off and the second pump was nowhere to be seen.

I'm not sure where the dream was going, as I was woken by my pager...

Oh I have several. All relating to Doctor Who!

The first one was that I met the Eleventh Doctor and near the end, I bragged about it to some people.

Now the second one was that the Third Doctor for some reason showed up in my house. Even my own mother liked him! That's all I remember

Now this is one I love to discuss; I was in this plaza, And I saw the Second Doctor running as usual. I said "DOCTOR!" and he did stop. I hugged him.

Then, We went on an adventure of sorts.

When Two and I were going out of the plaza, A robot Macra appeared, attacked Two, and shoved him into a water fountain.

I fought and destroyed that Macra and saved the little Doctor from the fountain before he drowned and proceeded to dry him off. The ending was that Two and I hugged and parted ways.

That was nearly two years ago.

Now last year in April I believe, I met him again but only briefly. Something bad has happened but it appears the Doctor solved it but several people died. (thankfully, his companions were safe.)

He seemed sad about it. So I went up to him and comforted him with a hug. That was it. I haven't had any Doctor dreams since.

Except for the one where some of the Doctors and even Steven Moffat for an apparent reason prompted me to rejoin the fandom. That was during when my Internet was out and I lost interest in Doctor Who for a short time.

But I hope the next dream I'll have one night involves Three. And I hope it's a romantic one that I'll remember for ages and ages.

In the middle of having an average to crummy dream, I was like ‘No. I want a Yu-Gi-Oh dream.’ By focusing really hard, it happened, but the plot was beyond my control.

Joey appeared first, then Ryou and Tea. Our quest was a journey to the Shadow Realm to save Seto Kaiba, who had lost his soul and was currently parked by an old tree which was apparently an entrance to the place.

We entered and found ourselves in a duel stadium crowd, decked out in monsters’ armor. It was pretty generic dragon armor at first, green scales with a yellow muzzle, but the more we stayed there, won duels, and ‘leveled up’, the stronger we and our armor would become.

Joey and I got the dragon outfits, Tea got a magician of some kind, and Ryou got… something with a hood to cover his hair, maybe the OCG card Leo Wizard. THAT was because Yami Bakura took over and dueled an image of the Pharaoh! They were far away, but I could hear Yami Bakura’s laughter for sure.

Unfortunately, since we were in the Shadow Realm and he was Yami Bakura, it was a Shadow Game. Yami Bakura didn’t care at first because he was winning, but when he lost (due to Magic Cylinder) it meant his host, Ryou, was on the verge of death. I seem to remember Yami Bakura breaking down, shuddering–either he was a really good actor, he didn’t want to die himself, or for once he actually cared what happened to Ryou.

I think Ryou may have actually DIED, so we had another person’s soul to save as well. I don’t remember too much of what happened after that, but I THINK time travel was involved so we were able to keep him alive. I woke up upon a replay of the duel and Yami Bakura freaking out over the Magic Cylinder. He raged so hard it woke me up.

Something about a creationist textbook, a grizzly bear breaking into my house and Steve Harvey becoming a pornstar.

The problem with dreams is that it's near-impossible to have the ones you want, let alone steer the events that occur there. The reason is because you cannot control your subconscious, and to have control of anything you have to keep your mind awake. I tried to have a certain dream once and didn't succeed, only having it a few days later when I was forgetting about it.

Well, I had one of those "I'm back in college, and I'm failing one of my classes" dreams, but this one was really weird.

In it, I was taking some kind of class about families. But even before the professor entered the room, I couldn't stay in my seat. I would take my seat with me to a random part of the room, pushing my seat while in it, and I would keep doing that. I'd be at one spot for a while, then eventually move my desk to another spot, or get up and walk to another spot.

Eventually the professor came in, and she remarked on how I couldn't stay in one place forever. I apologized for "making a mistake", and the student behind me said "You've made 19 mistakes already!" I thought "You've been keeping count?"

I wondered, in the dream, why I couldn't stay in one place. I figured my tiredness had something to do with it. I pondered the wisdom of saying out loud, "I'm sorry! It's probably because of a mixture of the lack of sleep I got last night and my autism. I'm not an idiot! I'm obviously smart enough to get into college in the first place!"

I kept switching seats randomly, but made more of an effort to stay in one spot. Eventually, we started watching a video - the ending credits to an anime for some reason, but presumably it would lead into the actual video we were supposed to watch. But it didn't, and instead we got an assignment that involved writing stuff - with crayons.

I didn't have crayons, or empty paper, or my schoolbag, and I was sitting far away from my original location. I got some crayons (they were wide and stubby) and made my way to my original seat but my stuff wasn't there. The previous assignment was given back, and I started to write my answer on the back of the paper.

She also said "Get out pencils and erasers", and I thought "Why not pens? Who uses erasers?" I couldn't find either. I saw on the board it said (in legible handwriting, despite this being a dream), something about the portrayal of M&Ms in TV commercials.

Now, they say you can't read anything in a dream, but I could read that clearly. However, that was like a minute or two before I woke up, which I did shortly after.

Dreams are weird.

i dreamed that Cthulhu started the zombie apocalypse because he was sick of grim and gritty movies and movies that tried to be funny but weren't. He preferred earnest movies that were a bit cheesy.

Funnily enough, I received the Supergirl movie in the mail today XD

I had a weird dream relating to Pokemon ORAS last night.

I was playing Alpha Sapphire, and in the game, I was running around through tall grass. Boom! Wild encounter time...but it was with Zygarde! I couldn't believe my eyes and quickly tried to send out my Hold Back-knowing Serperior...but when I did, he abruptly transformed into a Level 30 Ekans...and Zygarde was much higher leveled than that, but every Pokemon I sent out wound up being a completely different and very low leveled Pokemon. (During this time, Zygarde suddenly gained goggly eyes that grew larger every time I switched a Pokemon out.) Eventually I decided to just get to attacking...and I fainted Zygarde by mistake. But that wasn't the end, though. After the "Zygarde fainted!" message, Zygarde suddenly transformed into a 20-foot tall lizard in a Superman outfit, said that his name was "Schnoockums", and flew off into the sky. Wat. Adding to the weirdness factor is that it turned out that the one playing the game was actually Arthur, who was playing the game in his school while waiting for class to start.

Another dream I had that same night/morning also was in Alpha Sapphire (it was actually me playing the game in bed this time), and, in the game, my character (who now looked like a Mii) sat on a stump smiling as a Donphan ran around in circles around him. He was singing a song about how he and the Donphan were best friends and offhandedly mentioned that he wished that there was another Donphan of the opposite gender for his own Donphan to "marry". Without warning, I suddenly felt myself turning into the Donphan in question and was transported into the game. I woke up before anything awkward could happen, but then I turned into Donkey for some reason. I then woke up again, for real this time.

HOMESTUCK SHIT AHEAD:

Last night I dreamt that it was my birthday, and we had gone to some weird Homestuck theme park to celebrate. I was wished happy birthday by a copy of myself, and present!Dad (after she and future!Dad went back to her own timeline) told me that he had found a time-travel gun and is going to use it for that. I forgot most of this segment, but I remember the bit when I was future me and Dad took me back to wish my past self a happy birthday. I said a different thing to what I should have said- "Hey, you’re me from the past!" instead of "Happy birthday, Sophia." (did I ever tell you Sophia is my IRL name?) which apparently caused a doomed timeline and my dad’s a hero of Time so he knows we’re all fucked.

In a later dream from the same night, I was in a grocery store, based off the one my family shops at often, and there were Homestuck characters. I teamed up with the post-scratch kids (minus Jane) to shop for items that represented our personalities for whatever reason. I needed one lollipop each wrapped in the colours orange (for Dirk), pink (for Roxy), cyan (for Jake even though cyan is Jane’s colour), and black (for whatever OC I was playing) to start this task. I couldn’t find the pink lollipop at first though, so I got two of orange, but the orange ones started multiplying and soon I had like 20 of them. Apparently this was due to weird time shit. Then, I didn’t want to walk the whole aisle to find them so I flew instead and Roxy yelled at me for being a Mary Sue. Anyway, I was paired with Roxy to shop for things that represent my personality. She, for some reason, kept thinking I was different canon characters and wasting paper on writing their names there. Later, when I went to the checkout to buy the stuff, I asked why the banner ads to other fanfics weren’t opening (apparently this all took place in a fanfic). The checkout guy said that once he accidentally projected the checkout screen and told everyone a credit card number. Then Nepeta suddenly appeared and acted really cute.
