This thread is for tropers who have trouble with English and would like some help with the crazy grammar of this crazy language.

Write down what you wish to edit on the wiki. If you have been suspended from editing, another troper might be kind enough to edit for you after your suggestions have been corrected.

The thread is for help and feedback on your own suggested edits.

If you want help correcting other people's edits (e.g., if you find a page which seems to have grammar problems but want a second opinion, or you don't feel able to fix it by yourself) then that's off-topic here, but we have a separate Grammar Police cleanup thread that can provide assistance.

Adding a line for Dragon Ball Super -> Awesome(and other sub pages):

  • After Vegeto is briefly knocked out by Zamasu. Anyone with a sharp eye will notice his head raising just a tiny bit when Zamasu is about to stab him, Vegeto was just overplaying the injury and waiting for a moment to strike. More impressively, this happens after he got hit in their collective dicks by Zamasu's mutated fist. Showing us that Vegeto can take some insane hits and recover from them like it's nothing.
    • Likewise Zamasu gets points for being only one (so far) actually humiliate Vegeto like that. Mad egomaniac with a god complex or not, that is one moment of awesome Zamasu can take to oblivion without regrets.

Dragon Ball Super -> Funny:

  • For anyone that have seen Dragon Ball Abridged and are familiar the running gag of Kaioken Phrase Catcher. The moment Goku busts it out against Merged Zamasu, he responded the same way everyone else did. Utterly priceless.
Goku: Kaioken!
Zamasu: What?! processes to heel Zamasu to the face, knocking his ass to the ground.

Dragon Ball Super -> Tear Jerker:

  • In Hindsight it's a bit sad to see that while Vegeta has grown as a person and became more fatherly over time. The moment Trunks was born he didn't even hold him or hug him until he was about to die a second time.

Zen'O is not truly omnipotent because he has an alternate timeline self.

Every since we saw Future!Zen'O I came to the conclusion that Zen'O is not omnipotent. Sure he is the most powerful being in the DB universe, but he is does not transcend time. This means for every timeline there is a Zen'O most of the time. People's concept of a multiverse is a universe with multiple timelines and universe all in one. But in this case, all of the multiverse are more or less one and the same expect for the timelines. So, in this case. One can assume that for every timeline, there is a Zen'O. He is only the ruler of one multiverse's timeline, not the multiverse itself. This then opens up the question of; who is the master of the timelines and the multiverse because to truly be a ruling god, one must be on the top and all powerful(i.e the judeo-christian god) or have an patheon that fulfills X task while being nigh unbeatable by mortals.

So either Zen'O is a puppet god, or else he is truly on top and mortal's in every universe is screwed the moment he wants to destroy a universe.

...

But in this case, all of the multiverses are more or less one and the same except for the timelines.

So, in this case, one can assume that for every timeline, there is a Zen'O.

This then opens up the question of "Who is the master of the timelines and the multiverse?", because to truly be a ruling god, one must be on the top and all powerful (i.e the Judeo-Christian God)

So either Zen'O is a puppet god, or else he is truly on top and mortals in every universe are screwed the moment he wants to destroy a universe.

EDIT, some more suggestions:

1) I'd suggest replacing "i.e." before "the Judeo-Christian God", with "e.g.". The 1st means "that is", the 2nd, "for example". See [1]. The Judeo-Christian religion / culture is not the only one with one all-mighty God (e.g. Zeus for the Greeks).

2) "he'' got hit in their collective dicks by" - "he" and "their" don't match up since one is singular and the other is plural, but I don't know the work and maybe this makes sense in context?

3) "The moment Goku busts it out against Merged Zamasu, he responded the same way everyone else did."" - This is switching between present tense ("busts" and past tense "responded" and "did"). You should stick to one tense within the entry (mostly, present tense is preferred).

Hope that is clear, suggestions are in bold.

P.S. The indentation of "Likewise, Zamasu ... regrets" is unnecessary, and I think against indentation guidelines (it doesn't need to be indented).

Also, in the quote of what Goku and Zamasu say: stage directions ("processes to heel .... to the ground") are supposed to be in Italic, and enclosed in these [ ] straight brackets.

[up][up][up] @xxlogos

A few more changes. O.K., more than a few. :)

  • notice his head raising just a tiny bit -> notice his head rising just a tiny bit
  • this happens after he got hit -> this happens after he gets hit
  • in their collective dicks

Putting two or more Pot Holes in a row like this is illegal as per Sinkhole - Chained Sinkhole.

Also, Dragon Ball Z Abridged is a Web Video and should have the Web Video Namespace in front of it.

  • mutated fist. Showing us (sentence fragment) -> mutated fist, showing us

  • processes to heel Zamasu to the face -> proceeds to heel Zamasu to the face

I'm not sure what you mean by "heel...to the face". Hit him in the face? Hit him with his heel, i.e. some kind of kick attack?

  • Every since we saw Future!Zen'O I came to the conclusion ->
    • After we learned about Future!Zen'O, I came to the conclusion
  • Sure he is -> Sure, he is
  • but he is does not transcend time. -> but he does not transcend time.
  • This means for every timeline -> This means that for every timeline
  • People's concept of a multiverse -> Most people's concept of a multiverse
  • or have an patheon -> or have a pantheon

I'd like to add Maggie from episode "Funny Business" to section "Others" on page

Would this be written correctly?

Buxom Is Better: Downplayed. She's 13 and already has breasts unlike Lynn Loud Jr. who is also 13.

Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: She's a pale girl with black hair.

Emotionless Girl: She barely shows emotions except for anger when Lincoln destroyed her birthday cake.

Those examples are not formatted correctly: please use proper markup even when posting here — that means that you should use bullets to generate lists and use WikiWords to create trope links. Most of the examples are zero-context as well.

I have tropes for Sentinels of the Multiverse

  • Call-Back: Void Guard Writhe's Darkly Dreaming is similar in effect to the Sentinels' Blackout. note
  • It Only Works Once: Void Guard Dr. Medico's From the Brink card lets him prevent all damage that would normally incapacitate a hero character and then heals every hero, but after doing so From The Brink is removed from the game.

  • The grammar on Call-Back seems to check out, but I think the more important issue is that it needs more context. That is, a "similar effect" could be an accident, whereas "the movement is the same and the colors are inverted" could be intentional.
  • and then || to || , and then
  • after doing so From The Brink is || to || after doing so, From The Brink is

I can't see any problems with English, but there are a couple of problems with TV Tropes rules.

The Suddenly Voiced trope is "A character who was previously The Voiceless now talks much more frequently and is, more or less, given a permanent tone of voice."

In your example you don't say that Gideon is normally The Voiceless, which is a required part of the trope. Leaving out that information makes this a Zero-Context Example.

p.s. It's also Adaptational Nationality

p.p.s. here, we can only write what we wish to add on the site (wich i can't do, for now) or even something else, for practice purpose?

I think this forum is only to let other people read what you write for this site, yes. If you'd like help specifically for writing English as your not-first language, you can try sites like English Language Learners at StackExchange.com.

And what do you mean with "I can't do, for now"? Of course you can add to this site!

I know you didn't ask for this to be proofread, but you need to know this:

Whenever you're using the letter I to refer to yourself, it's always capitalized, even in contractions.

So in your post above:

  • i've been suspended -> I've been suspended
  • i can't edit -> I can't edit
  • i'll just write what i'd wish...but i guess -> I'll just write what I'd wish...but I guess

I'm going to add a Reality Ensues entry for Supermarioglitchy4s Super Mario 64 Bloopers:

  • Reality Ensues:
    • While SMG4 and Toad were in the stone age, they met the prehistoric Professor E. Gadd called Professor E. Gugh. Even though E. Gugh was supposedly the smartest caveman during his time, he's still a caveman and thus, he didn't know how to make a time machine or send the two friends back to their time. At best, he induced a coma to SMG.

Samurai Jack -> Aku

(Under Nigh-Invulnerable):

  • Super-Toughness: Make no mistake, while Aku is vulnerable to Jack's divine sword and getting cut by it hurts like a motherfucker. He is tough enough to survive several blows from it and can even harden part of his body to outright No-Sell the corrosive effects of the blade touching him when his attacks are parried by the sword.
  • Made Of Liquid: Any attacks from a non-divine source that do pierce him just pass through.or get stuck in his body. He can even weaponized this ability to sent back arrows that were shot at him.

  • Healing Factor: Aku can heal form any injury, even those inflicted by Jack's sword. Its the reason he is still in his prime and not crippled from several life threatening injuries and cut down to tiny forms anytime Jack defeats him.

  • Make no mistake, while Aku is vulnerable to Jack's divine sword and getting cut by it hurts like a motherfucker.

This is a sentence fragment and needs to be joined with the next sentence to make sense. Since this would make the total sentence too long, it should be broken up further on.

  • he is also -> he is
  • tough enough several blow's from it -> tough enough to survive several blows from it

Final result:

Make no mistake, while Aku is vulnerable to Jack's divine sword and getting cut by it hurts like a motherfucker, he is tough enough to survive several blows from it. He can even harden part of his body to outright No-Sell the corrosive effects of the blade touching him when his attacks are parried by the sword.

  • Any attacks that do pirce him from a non-divine source just passes...or gets stuck ->
    • Any attacks from a non-divine source that do pierce him just pass...or get stuck

  • Its the reason -> It's the reason (it's = it is)
