Shocking Elimination. Looking at many examples, such as the Hell's Kitchen ones, it seems that it is as subjective as Elimination Houdini, which is YMMV.
Yeah, Shocking Elimination is definitely YMMV. I don't find a lot of the examples shocking, even as written.

These ones can be called as "don't make YMMV", I'd say.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHmm... Looking to the no real life examples thread, this policy really exists... and mention the same tropes in red hundreds of times is boring... okay.
Well, i am nominating Sturgeons Tropes. The reasoning to the inclusion of most of the tropes is based in the reaction of the audience- including objective tropes(as Status Quo Is God and Flat Character). Beyond this, if a specific use of a trope was good or bad is subjective.

Well, considering the current votes, Sturgeons Tropes probably will be called as non-ymmv, but in this case, i guess that at least a clean-up in the examples of the page is a good idea(Static Character? As 99% of all the characters in fiction, specially minor characters?)

I'd suggest looking through the tropes in question and see how many positive examples there are. If there are more than 10% (and not just marginally more than that), I'd say the tropes can be removed.
I'm also kind of tempted to add Sturgeons Tropes to that list, because people add their own Pet-Peeve Trope rather than those that have almost entirely negative examples.

Crown Description:
YMMV is for items that are reactions of the audience to works and tropes that need a significant judgment call to tell whether they exist objectively or not. Should these items become members of YMMV? Note: Audience Reactions need to be subjective, emotional responses and things that are likely to cause arguments and disagreements. Merely being outside a work or inside an audience don't make things YMMV
