Signups for my upcoming thread Villain Town: A Series of Mayhem. I will probably start the thread in about 1-2 weeks. We'll see what happens.

As mentioned here, this thread takes place in an unusual town where every villain from pop culture is teleported to after their final defeat. There will be some powerful and mysterious characters managing the town. You can do pretty much anything you want as long as you don't attack other villains or destroy the town. Our characters will get into strange adventures together. For example, we may be tasked with fighting villains who do try to cause trouble.

Your character can be a villain from any kind of work of fiction. You can be a comic book supervillain, a horror movie monster, a video game boss, etc. Anything that isn't OP. You can also have up to two NPCs, which can be henchmen or other characters associated with your main character.

Template

* Name:
* Gender:
* Species:
* Work of Origin: (What kind of work does your character come from? You can give it a title if you want)
* Appearance:
* Personality:
* Strengths: (including powers and weapons)
* Weaknesses:
(Optional items)
* Age:note
* Inspiration: (Is your character an Expy of anyone?)
* Voiceclaim:
* Leitmotif(s):
* Anything else you want to say about them?

Main character

  • Name: Count Fledermaus
  • Gender: Male
  • Species: Vampire bat
  • Work of Origin: Moonlight Pups, a cutesy, merchandise-driven kid's cartoon from the 80's, in the vein of Care Bears. It's about a group of adorable wolf pups who spread light and friendliness even at night. The cartoon only ran for one season. It was cancelled because parents didn't like the idea of night being a good thing, and they didn't find the toothy wolf pups cute, not even as plushies. Maybe the show would be Vindicated by History someday, but for now, Count Fledermaus is down in the dumps.
  • Appearance: A 3-foot-tall, anthropomorphic vampire bat with dark gray fur and red eyes. He wears a black, red, and purple tuxedo with a white dress shirt. He holds a black wand with a purple gemstone called the Darkwand.
  • Personality: As an 80's cartoon villain, Count Fledermaus is rather one-dimensional and a bit wacky. He hates all light, even the moon and stars, and he wishes there was only darkness. He also hates love and friendship, but he will have to learn to get along with the other villains. He's very hammy and hot-tempered, and not exactly elegant like your typical vampire.
  • Strengths:
    • The Darkwand, which shoots dark beams to attack.
    • Flight.
    • Fangs. (He doesn't like to drink blood, but he can still bite.)
    • Speed.
    • Musical talent. What would a cartoon vampire be if he couldn't play the pipe organ?
  • Weaknesses:
    • Light. (It doesn't kill him, it just hurts his eyes. He uses his wings to shield his eyes from light.)
    • His small size and fragility.
    • He's Afraid of Blood, which is ironic considering that he's supposed to be a vampire. This is because he comes from a cartoon that was heavily monitored by Moral Guardians.

Optional:

Sidekick NPC

  • Name: Layla
  • Gender: Female
  • Species: Great horned owl
  • Appearance: There is a bit of Furry Confusion here. While Fledermaus is a Funny Animal, Layla is just a Talking Animal owl. She likes to sit on his shoulder.
  • Personality: Layla is Fledermaus's Hypercompetent Sidekick. She notices things that her silly, foolish boss doesn't. She's a Servile Snarker to him, but deep down, she does enjoy his company. She's almost always cool-headed. She's also not that evil on her own, and she will only do evil things if Fledermaus orders her to.
  • Strengths:
    • Intelligence.
    • Flight.
    • Enhanced eyesight.
    • Talons and beak.
  • Weaknesses:
    • She is physically just a normal bird. Anything that could hurt a real owl could hurt her too.
  • Voiceclaim: Cree Summernote

Not an evil Thievul

  • Name: Queen Fintelle
  • Gender: Female
  • Species: A shark-like creature of indeterminate species.
  • Work of Origin: A fictional family-friendly animated film from the 1990s (that was probably made to ride the coattails of the Disney Renaissance and would probably end up reviewed by Phelous in the future) wherein she was the main villain. Uhhhh...let's call it The Tiniest Mermaid Meets the Shark Queen.
  • Appearance: Bipedal shark-like creature. About 8'6''. Has a small crown around her dorsal fin and a long robe with garish spikes on the back that she always wears. Walks around on fin-like legs and has a tail that ends in a tail fin.
  • Personality: Extremely conceited, no-nonsense, and vain. Looks down upon anyone who diverges from what she considers neat and orderly. Has an extremely bad temper if pushed hard enough.
  • Strengths: Is secretly a sorceress and has access to a book of magic spells, which she mainly uses to transform people she doesn't like, transform herself (something she rarely does), or to transform her minion Pip. In a pinch, she can bite like any normal shark can.
  • Weaknesses: If she's separated from her spellbook, she's pretty much helpless.

  • Name: Pip-Pip Moray
  • Gender: Male
  • Species: Normally a moray eel
  • Work of Origin: Same as Fintelle
  • Appearance: Variable; he's rarely in his original form; but is easily identifiable by his green color and sharp teeth unless Fintelle has specifically transformed him into someone else. In his original form, he is a green moray eel with pink spots.
  • Personality: The Laughable Lackey to Fintelle's Vile Villain, Pip is a goofy creature who is completely devoted to Fintelle and doing whatever she asks him to do. He's not really that bad a guy, and he legitimately doesn't seem to understand that Fintelle is evil in the first place. At the same time, though, he sometimes shows more common sense than her.
  • Strengths: Whatever the forms Fintelle puts him in has. Has a fierce bite and can constrict people like a snake in his normal form.
  • Weaknesses: Similarly helpless in his normal form

  • Name: Debbie Olly
  • Gender: Female
  • Species: Anthro-Skunk
  • Work of Origin: Mega-Super-Topia, an animated cartoon which heavily ripped off was loving inspired by the Disney cartoon Darkwing Duck. Was originally going to be using the name and characters from SuperMegaTopia but a deal with the artists failed.

  • Appearance: An anthromorphic skunk, except shiny plastic white 'skin' and bright-yellow plastic 'hair' instead of fur. She has a black stripe on her back and along her tail.
  • Personality: A mix of the Darkwing Duck villian Quackerjack and Harley Quinn.
  • Strengths: Able to create toy-themed gadgets, including squads of action figures/toy soldiers. Her plastic skin is highly resistant to damage, including bullets and most chemicals. Strength and agility are human.
  • Weaknesses: Easily distractable and she can still feel pain, so getting shot still hurts even though she doesn't take damage.
  • Age: late early 20s.
  • Inspiration: Quackerjack/Harley Quinn
  • Backstory: Debbie Olly is a mad scientist with extreme ADHD. The only heir to the Olly-Oxenphreed fortune, Debbie grew up loving to collect toys while getting a double doctorate in both electronics and chemisty. She loved to carefully sorting, storing, and displaying her toys. Shortly after graduating she created a prototype for a line of self-aware talking toys, only to discover during product testing how most children treated toys. After witnessing the 'massacre' (her words), she threw herself into a vat of experimental chemicals. When she climbed out, her body had been transformed, giving her a doll like appearance. She vowed vengence for all toy kind. She was only featured in two episodes as a gag villian for the hastily-renamed Ocelet-Boy. In her second episode was introduced 'Harv', an anthromorphic rabbit in a trench-coat who served as Debbie's henchman/assistant. Harv was unusual in that it/he knew it was actually a robot/AI that Debbie had created and was extremely loyal to Debbie while openly acknowledging that Debbie was a ditz. At the end of the episode Debbie was locked in the Mega-Super-Topia Asylum.

  • Name: Harv ((Huggable Anthromorphic Robot Vassal)
  • Gender: Male in appearance.
  • Appearance: A three foot tall heavy-set anthromorphic rabbit in a trenchcoat and bad fitting suit/tie. Think a three foot tall rabbit version of Harvey Bullock from Batman the animated series.
  • Personality: Again, think Harvey Bullock from Batman the animated series. Harv is extremely loyal to Debbie, even though he calls her 'the ditz' and 'you ditzy blonde'
  • Strengths: As a robot, Harv has low level super-human strength. He can easily lift the front end of a car but couldn't lift an entire car. Despite his small size he is skilled in using a variety of weapons, preferring non-lethal weapons such as his sawed-off shotgun with beanbag rounds.
  • Weaknesses: Hard-coded to be loyal to Debbie, so he can't refuse a direct order from her. Also, at only three feet tall, he has limited reach.

  • Backstory: Harv is aware it is an AI admits its loyalty to 'the ditz' (Debbie) is due to its programming, but refuses offers to help break his programming. Harv freely admits/is aware of Debbie's faults but is extremely loyal, seeing himself as Debbie's protector. In his one episode, Harv was the one who convinced Debbie to surrender and go to the asylum rather then go through with her threat to blow up the entire city (after her main plain was foiled). At the end of the episode, Harv was offered the chance to be reprogrammed to get around his loyalty conditioning but refused, claiming he couldn't do that to Debbie.

  • Name: "The Vaccal" (According to ancient texts, at least.)
  • Gender: ???
  • Species: Vaguely horror-movie-pagan being
  • Work of Origin: "COW HEAD", a movie released in the 2000s of another universe. The disturbance of an ancient ritual circle released this ancient horror, which started to violently attack people in a nearby town. It was ultimately resealed by through the main protagonist sacrificing herself to reseal the being.
  • Appearance:
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vaccalvillaintownchara_6.png
A towering (approximately 8'-10'depending on the specific shot) figure mostly wrapped in dark leather robes. Its head appears to be (or is covered by) a cow's skull with ancient (actually asemic) symbols written in a red pigment that may or may not be blood. The only other part of its body that can be seen is its large, grey-skinned hands. When moving, it's eerily smooth, as if floating rather than walking.
  • Personality: In its source movie, the Vaccal was a menace that spent its time butchering anyone that it spotted after being released. Whether due to the metaphysical effects of Villain Town, or due to it being resealed at the end of its home media, it seems to have been rendered into a calmer state. It mostly spends its time scratching elaborate symbols into nearby objects and praying to an unknown deity, regarding others mostly as a shallow curiosity.
  • Strengths:
    • Strong: The Vaccal has incredible strength, being seen in its home media breaking through a stone wall with one claw swipe.
    • Burning Beam: Only seen being used once in its home movie, the Vaccal is capable of releasing a bright red beam of eldritch light, which burns whatever it hits without releasing any flames.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Slow: While seemingly capable of the usual "offscreen horror movie villain teleportation", the Vaccal normally moves at a rather lumbering pace, with even looking around often happening in a slow and deliberate way.
    • Speechless: The Vaccal does not seem to be capable of normal speech. When it does want to communicate, it seems to be able to project simple concepts into the minds of those nearby... which is almost always a fairly distressing experience.

  • Name: Lord Mikhael

  • Gender: Male

  • Age: Irrelevant, for several reasons.

  • Species: Living Toy, though he reacts badly to being called one and insists he's a "living creature". Specifically, the toy equivalent of an Angelic Abomination.

  • Work of Origin: Boxworld, a Saturday-Morning Cartoon from the 1990s that built up a cult following in its day, and maintains a small but devout one in the Internet Age. The titular Boxworld - "box" as in toybox - was a realm where the discarded toys and forgotten imaginary friends of children took on a life of their own, and the series followed an eccentric gaggle of toys of various origins as they took it upon themselves to maintain peace in this chaotic and often confusing world. Renowned for its eccentric art direction that very much sold the idea this was a patchwork world of clashing imaginations, and for its surprisingly smart, mature tone despite the aforementioned wacky premise and look. Mikhael, the Big Bad of the series, only made his first appearance near the end of the first season, but he left an immediate impression. Sadly, the fans never got to see his final defeat; the same peculiarities that made Boxworld so popular with the Periphery Demographic made it intimidating to kids and, more importantly, to stuffy TV executives. The show was thus cancelled after its second season on a cliffhanger, with Mikhael preparing to fulfill his ultimate goal of breaching Boxworld's boundaries and entering our reality. He doesn't remember how that went, but Villain Town is clearly not Boxworld, so he's assuming he must have succeeded.

  • Appearance:
    • How much of Lord Mikhael you can see depends on the extent to which he's been convinced to get dangerous. Most of the time, he's bundled beneath a thick layer of rags that trail and flutter around him, coloured a faded golden yellow and covered all over in stylised eyes. The only part of him not covered is a single actual eye, which changes colour and shape with his mood. Even covered up, though, his form clearly deviates from that of a human. He is enormous, around twelve feet tall measuring to the top of his head, and similarly intimidatingly wide. He has five arms of various shapes and sizes - four at his sides, plus one dinosaur-like appendage tipped with a single vicious, swordlike claw, starting at the top of his spine and coiling over his head to rest in front of his face - and he sports one humanoid leg alongside one pawed digitigrade leg. Appendages that could be mistaken for wings billow out from his shoulders, though they, too, are rag-covered by default.
    • When Mikhael gets serious, the rags disintegrate into light, and you get a good look at the Frankensteinian abomination underneath. His body is a barely coherent mish-mash of parts grafted from every being he's ever considered strong enough to be worth taking from, arranged in a shape halfway between the traditional humanoid depiction of an angel and a more biblically accurate one. His head, as it turns out, has not one face, but a ring of faces, all themselves mixes of stitched-up parts, arranged in such a way that they can spin like a top upon his neck; what looks while he's robed to be his revealed eye changing appearances is in fact different faces taking turns peering through the gap. As for his apparent width, most of that is not his body, but a writhing mass of even more limbs and other appendages, which, once he's in full combat mode, spread out and radiate around Mikhael in a series of warped rings. Oh, and the wings? Those are made of yet more joined-together hands and paws and equivalents thereof, too. Glowing eyes dot every part of his body, and the more power he uses, the more of them pop open.
    • ...yes, this guy was the baddie in a cartoon aimed at kids. Why do you ask?

  • Personality:
    • Lord Mikhael is, above all else, obsessed with the idea that it is his destiny to be something more. His patchwork body, sewn together from the strongest parts of the strongest creatures he's encountered in an attempt to reach physical perfection, immediately reflects as much, but this drive extends beyond his own form and into the world itself. Back in Boxworld, he believed existing in a world of toys and trinkets inherently limited him, and his primary goal - as revealed in what became the series' final story arc - was to break out and into "True Reality", where he could abandon his past as a child's plaything completely and become a "real" creature of theoretically limitless power and potential. Instead of approaching this as a typical card-carrying Take Over the World plot, Mikhael instead genuinely believes this is a glorious utopian destiny for all toykind to the point where no act that would help him achieve it is too cruel. His minions were drawn into his orbit primarily with the promise that they, too, would become something far more once they reached True Reality, leading them to treat him less as a feared overlord and more as a figure of downright religious reverence.
    • As is to be expected of a Saturday morning Big Bad, Mikhael is quite the ham. Rather than relying on loudmouthed bombast, however, he's more of a Cold Ham; his usual vocal delivery is a quiet, drawling rasp, and he carries himself as willing to share pleasantries and engage in calm philosophical discourse with even his bitterest foes. But all his attempts at niceties fall flat, punctured by the incredibly obvious undercurrent of self-absorbed arrogance that runs through his words. Ultimately, he sees people entirely in terms of how beneficial they are to his mission, either as pawns or sources of new parts.
    • Though he puts on an unflappable air, Mikhael is in fact quick to anger, once you've figured out what his Berserk Buttons are. His disdain for his own Living Toy nature is a core one; he quickly grows irate if anyone tries to argue with him that not being flesh and blood isn't that bad, and Heaven forbid you argue that his Utopia Justifies the Means justification for the horrors he inflicted on Boxworld is selfish and self-righteous. But the one thing guaranteed to immediately send Mikhael into an uncharacteristic screaming, violent rampage is to remind him of what he was before he became Lord Mikhael - a past he has kept under tight wraps even from his closest minions out of shame. Mikhael's anger is so vicious that it's actually a core vulnerability; when in a rage, this normally cunning plotter is prone to grabbing and tightly clutching the Villain Ball on spiteful impulse. This is something the heroes of Boxworld quickly learned to exploit if they were to stand a chance of defeating him, which, naturally, never taught Mikhael a lesson about controlling his temper.

  • Strengths: At his peak, Mikhael's power was extraordinary. His many limbs are all massively strong, enough so that he could go hand-to-claw with the literal dionsaur among Boxworld's main cast on even footing; the sheer number of them stitched together gives him incredible reach, and he's capable of taking a Hell of a lot of punishment on top of that. On top of his physical power, Mikhael was a skilled mage who, befitting his warped angelic theme, tended to style his spells as divine miracles - searing blasts of holy light, bolts of divine lightning, so on so forth. His most notable spell enabled him to fly on a whim, his "wings" really just being yet more cobbled together body parts be damned. Last but definitely not least, Mikhael is a cunning plotter with ample patience, and very good at using charismatic words and personally tailored promises to lure the gullible into his army.

  • Weaknesses: Mikhael is very much not at his peak right now. Be it a side effect of his transportation into Villain Town, the result of something that happened in the unremembered gap after events in Boxworld stopped being broadcast in our world, simply the passage of time, or something else entirely, his body is currently literally falling apart, the stitches on its individual components frayed and loose. This significantly reduces his speed, strength and durability, and in a lovely case of Be Careful What You Wish For, being in a world that doesn't look like it was the work of a highly ambitious toymaker means he's got precious few opportunities to casually graft replacements for the damaged parts onto his form, as he once would. His magic, too, is far weaker than it was - whether this is because of his physical condition or because the source of his magic is somehow tied to Boxworld, he can't tell. He hopes it's the former. Only his mind is intact, though it was never infallible itself. See the above point about his tendency to get Blinded by Rage; being a humungous self-righteous egotist, he can also suffer from tunnel vision in his plans and is prone to underestimating those he doesn't immediately peg as strong enough to be worth taking from.

  • Inspiration: The Vile Villain, Saccharine Show trope in general, especially examples so extreme they turn the whole show a few shades darker just by being in it. A few specific inspirations might become apparent when I say his voiceclaim is...

  • Voiceclaim: Ron Perlman

  • Anything else you want to say about them?:

I'm still planning out the story of this thread, but I'm excited to get started with you all!

Also, I've added more info to my character entries.

May I throw my hat into the ring?

  • Full Name: The Anti-Christ (Nickname: Dee Annie Kris)

  • Gender: Female

  • Species: Demon Lord

  • Work of Origin: From a High Fantasy universe where she rules over Hell, yet could travel to modern Earth.

  • Appearance: Dee looks like a tall, muscular red-skinned demon. Huge horns grow from her skull and curl backwards, and a thick head of dark-red hair spills from her head. Her wings are muscly and sinuous, but superficially resemble a bat's.

  • Personality: Despite being a (supposedly) all-powerful demon lord, she certainly doesn't act with the dignity and grace one expects. Since she is comprised of the Seven Deadly Sins, she takes each aspect into her personality. As such, she can easily get jealous, eat huge amounts without care, try to get as much wealth as she can, very easy to seduce, never admits her mistakes and hogs the spotlight, can be extremely lazy and have a Hair-Trigger Temper. A weird thing happens to her mind. All of these traits usually cancel each other out, with a dominant trait rising at certain times. This makes her an extremely unpredictable person to deal with, as sometimes she'll be cordial before suddenly exploding with anger. Generally, however, she acts kinda like The Ditz and kinda sweet, due to not being around a lot of people during her life to be herself around.

  • Strengths: Dee has large wings that she can use to fly with, and she has some Super-Strength, able to punch through rocks with ease. She also knows a lot of magic, but whether it actually works is a different story. Due to the unpredictability, she decides to just go all in on the strength and speed stuff. She can also create minor Mooks to serve her, ranging from undead zombies to devilish imps.

  • Weaknesses: She is weak to holy items in general. Even saying prayers against her will deter her for a while. She is also a hopeless romantic and a slave to her many, many desires, usually having the worst parts of the Seven Deadly Sins.

  • Age: ???

  • Inspiration: From many VTubers in general.

  • Voiceclaim: I dunno yet, she's pretty high-pitched though.

  • Leitmotif(s): "And My Name's Booster!", to go with her Laughably Evil status.

  • Anything else you want to say about them?

Depending on which Sin is in control she has a different color text.

  • Name: Big Stacks Smoke
  • Gender: Male
  • Species: Bulldog (of the humanoid variety)
  • Work of Origin: Finley And His Foxes, a series of Rubberhose Animation shorts from the early 1930s. Finley and her band of Funny Animal friends try to survive in shanty towns in the big city. Though they don’t have much, at least they have each other. While never famous at the time (at best it was a Merrie Melodies knockoff), there’s been more recognition of it by historians and collectors. In the shorts, Stacks was the main conniving villain, showing up to terrorize towns and parade around his wealth. Often, he’d get a comeuppance unintentionally from the gang. His last short before the studio went under ended with him, after a swordfight with Finley, falling off his own skyscraper into a concrete mixer.
  • Appearance: A brown-furred, sharply-dressed, 6-foot literal dog of a man. He’s always carrying a pack of cigars and monocle on his flabby face. He also embodies the big part of his name.
  • Personality: Stacks, as tradition for his era of cartoons, is a ruthless jaded charlatan, only looking down on others while priding himself on misfortunes he has caused. He's a typical Depression-era millionaire, only caring for the green and more ways to get even. Anyone in his way (unless they can be useful like the so-called villain team) is a nuisance.
  • Strengths:
    • Power to influence: Stacks is quite the sly talker. He’s able to seem confident even at the worst of times, while acting like he always knows better. If that doesn’t work, his bribes and other strength will help the bargain.
    • Tommy Gun: A weapon from his prohibition days, though as policy he can’t have any bullets in it, it doesn’t mean he can’t act like there are.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Basic Decency: Despite the money, villain town has revealed for everyone his flaws. Stacks’ greatest weakness is those who see through his ruse and manipulations, which due to his maniacal nature, is everybody except the incredibly naive.
    • Greed: Stacks is willing to do anything to rebuild his monopoly in Villain Town, and that even includes the pettiest of crimes.

  • Inspiration: Early Golden Age of Animation villains (most obviously Peg Leg Pete)
  • Voiceclaim: His audio remains scratchy, but he’s obviously Brian Doyle-Murray
  • Leitmotif(s): “Bobby Sox Idol” by Wilmoth Houdini for its ragtime style.

Discombobulate.

  • Name: Diamelle, the Kitsune Queen.

  • Gender: Female

  • Species: Kitsune

  • Work of Origin: A obscure 2D animated movie named Sir Renardo, where she was the main villain, trying to stop the main hero, Sir Renardo, a brave fox knight, from reaching her mighty castle. It was popular back in the 90's, where it originally released, but as time went on, the movie faded out of popularity and into the obscure.

  • Appearance: An anthromorphic beautiful fox, with many, many, multiple tails (more than the average Kitsune!), plus a crown filled with jewels on her head, and a big ol' fancy queen-like dress with lots of gems, jewels, and diamonds on the dress. Has long eyelashes, purple eyeshadow, and a beauty mark.

  • Personality: Upper-class, elegant, and beautiful, but also is a Large Ham and chews the scenery sometimes. Is also a snarker, and tries to stop anyone if she is pushed too far enough or if someone ruins her beauty. She loves how beautiful she is, even having a shrine dedicated to her beauty.

  • Strengths: Has a magic scepter that could transform her into a more beautifuller state, or even transform people she doesn't like into something else. Also controls fire magic with the power of her many, many tails.

  • Weaknesses: If she stripped away from her magic scepter, is useless. But also is kind of greedy, and she will do anything to gain more power, money, and beauty.

  • Inspiration: Mostly Georgette, with a dash of Queen Nakhta in it.

  • Voiceclaim: Rachael Lillis, doing her Jessie voice.

  • Leitmotifs: "Morgenblatter Waltz", by Joann Strauss Jr. "Perfect Isn't Easy", from the Oliver and Company soundtrack could also fit too.

32 years later, and he's still maximum pink.
