Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

I think it just needs descriptions for the characters (and to clean up the formatting, which I'll do in a second).
Since it looks like we're keeping it, I'll look for some indexes.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyThank you so much for the help, guys! :'D
Currently out of the group, I'm the only one working on it, and I haven't quite got used to the script coding tvtropes uses. The folders are great! I haven't figured out how they worked yet, so I am immensely grateful!
Re: The Noisy Straw: I think there's a missing supertrope here (that at the same time is more specific) for "Rude/Awkward Slurping," but The Noisy Straw is, as-written, both too broad and too narrow and the examples are weak.
Based on this post, can we perform some of the actions? Specifically:
- Cut Deus Ex Savant, Incident Of Way Back When, Misplaced Bubbles, and The Princess And The Pirate
- Send The Lightfooted and Literal Self Made Man to TLP

Also, Percussive Shutdown was brought up in the YKTTW workstation thread. I mean, it could use a better name, but it looks like there was some consensus issue?

Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyPercussive Shutdown: How does it lack consensus? I see five hats and no bombs, and no questions raised about its viability or objections in the comments. It was open for over six months. I'm not sure what Eroock thinks is necessary. I've asked in that thread for clarification.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Pretty positive that's Destruction Equals Off-Switch. At the very least, I find the fact that DEOS isn't mentioned on that new page worrisome.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.No. It's not. Destruction Equals Off-Switch is that "destroying a control panel or console also shuts off or destroys everything attached to it." This is "destroying something in order to make it stop working." They're only vaguely related.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.To my knowledge 5 hats is not enough to launch a trope. There was no button appearing to do so. Isn't "manual" launching of trope pages against the etiquette?

The Guidelines for launching mentions five hats as enough, as long as any objections have also been addressed. The "launch" button shows up on the bottom of all TL Ps, regardless of age or the number of Hats or Bombs. ( It, and the discard button, are both there on this TLP, which was posted two hours ago and has neither hats nor bombs.) (Well, it didn't when I copied the link and started typing this. Now it has 1 bomb, but both the Launch and Discard buttons are still there.)
You need to be able to point to a real lack of consensus — that is, some people saying "Yes" and about the same number saying "No", for that reason to have any weight.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.^ Fair enough, just saw the 5 hats note on button of pages. Can't say this this would be consensus in my book but I am not making the rules. Withdrawing my case.
Btw, those launch buttons are not appearing for me on all pages, only those with 5 or more hats. Mods may have more control here.

Consensus is about how consistent the opinion is, not just how many people hold it. If five people weigh in on something and they all say "good" there's a strong consensus that it's good. If twenty people weigh in, and five say "Good", five say "Bad", five say "Good idea but it needs work" and five say "I'm not sure..." there's no consensus at all, even though there are just as many people expressing each opinion as there are in the first case.
I don't know what's happening with the Launch Buttons. Might want to report that in the Bugs thread.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I am sorry for my poor choice of words.
I think PS and DEOS could both happen in the same work, even close to the same time, but they look more like sub tropes of a Supertrope at most, not the same thing. (Whatever supertrope covers breaking/blowing up stuff to shut it down hard.)
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry Pratchett@eroock: I got an answer: the Launch button appears for all tropers after a TLP has been open three days, regardless of how many hats/bombs it has. Mods can see it immediately. That's why I could see it on that brand new TLP and you couldn't.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I found a few people that I could browbeat into making the Discovery Freelancer page not suck. I'm waiting to see if they actually do anything about it, because handling the whole interplay of community and story is beyond my talents according to some other users.
Discovery has a "canon" server where the magic happens, so the players there actually play a pretty big part in the making of its content, and that is why I reasoned that troping the community was appropriate. I feel that as a player who's banned from it, I can actually make some time to just do a few page edits here and there for the page, and also maintain an air of objectivity; after all, I am no longer affected by the events taking place. At least until May, that is.
(Hilariously, the username you see now is shared with an old forum member from there, but I never heard of the guy until after I came onto Tv Tropes under this identity. Welp.)
I am a quality contributor.Walpurgisnacht was launched recently without any confirmation.
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔IMO, it feels more appropriate to launch it at the end of April.
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔Edit: Ignore the post I wrote before, oops.
Also, someone said they couldn't find the YKTTW draft link. Here it is. I totally forgot that I wrote that version of the draft. I even wrote that it should be a Useful Notes page in the draft. I think it could be a trope like April Fools' Day or All Hallows Eve as a subtrope of Holiday Tropes, but I won't press unless y'all think that's feasible.
Something else that was recently launched was Ambiguous Religions (link). I don't understand why it needs to be closely tied to White Male Lead, especially when the Muslim and Zoroastrian examples are not White Male Leads. I don't think this was discussed much in the draft's comment section. I think it should be sent back to clean up the description.
