Calling crowner: send this puppy back to YKTTW.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Anybody gonna do this....?
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThere seem to be a lot of potential tropes rolled into this one, their tropeworthiness im not sure.
- It could just be a Gender-Equal Ensemble with 6 members
- It could be a combination of two PowerTrios (Similar to Three Plus Two only this is Three Plus Three)
- It could be a team that meets the six roles defined in the outline which are roughly
- The Hero
- The Big Guy
- No Social Skills - The Awkward Guy (anywhere from Fish out of Water to Socially Awkward Hero to Cloudcuckoolander)
- Hunk/Hello Nurse - The Attractive Guy
- The Smart Guy
- A random sixth person who is usually but not necessarily a Blithe Spirit or a Rebellious Spirit - but is not necessarily a Sixth Ranger because they could have been there from the beginning.

Bumping. How do we move a trope with 203 inbounds and 127 wicks over to YKTTW?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWe copy/paste its contents to a new YKTTW, and redirect this page somewhere appropriate?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Wasn't a corollary to the argument for sending it back to YKTTW that there isn't anywhere appropriately similar at the moment?
Cast Calculus, if nothing else, I guess.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThat's a good one, I agree.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!New clock on a three month dead thread. If this clock expires let's put it to bed.
Well, I can't read the crowner now, but I believe the outcome was to redirect this page to Cast Calculus, and if anyone believes there's anything salvageable on this page (which I don't) they are free to take it to YKTTW.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! That said, I wouldn't be opposed to reopening the whole discussion.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI would. We already spent a year on this half-baked page, and I see no reason why discussing it again would have a different outcome. We've got a clear crowner result, let's implement it and lock the thread already.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I agree; that's why I suggest that IF anyone finds this page salvageable (which I personally do not) then that person is free to start an YKTTW on the topic. Otherwise we just turn it into a redirect (or cutlist it and redirect it if/when the cut gets denied).
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! This thread's been open a year, and no one has defended the page.
The trope was originally supposed to be just a group of six very different people who always hang out together. That's undeniably common and Saved By The Bell would still be the Trope Codifier, but beyond that, this trope is not what we'd need it to be.
I really hoped we could repair this trope. I tried that myself. But it didn't go anywhere. Now that I think of it, it's not very well put together. We do need a trope for six-person ensembles, but this isn't it.
It might be easier to start a whole new six-person trope once this is dealt with.
Oh, and not that it matters at this point, but to be clear, this is not Five-Man Band + Sixth Ranger. That's a team. This is a group of friends.
The thing is that "six people who hang out" is not a trope. It needs clear and consistent roles and group dynamics to be a trope.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Yeah, I know. I didn't mean that the specific roles and group dynamics were not important. An ensemble does need those things. I knew that. I just forgot to mention that part. Sorry.

Okay, as discussed above I've redirected the page.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! So, all done here?
Probably, unless someone insists on YKTTW'ing the thing.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThis thread has been open for more than a year. So I think if anybody had been interested, they would have spoken up in that time.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
Crown Description:
Six Student Clique is an analysis of the main characters of Saved By The Bell, but it doesn't make a strong case that this particular combination of characters is a trope. For example, it lists the type "the wild one", then points out that the relevant Saved By The Bell character doesn't actually fit this. Indeed, many of the examples are shoehorned, and are already covered by Five Man Band plus Sixth Ranger, or by a combination of Beauty Brains And Brawn and Power Trio. That includes Saved By The Bell itself.
We don't want a page for all groups of six, or groups of six in which each person has a role. If you have a particular configuration of six people, that could be a trope. It likely has nothing to do with the current page though.
